Big Week for Oilers and Sens

PHILADELPHIA

Claude Giroux: 8 points in 92:05 minutes of power play time.

Jakub Voracek: 4 points in 78:01.

Mark Streit: 4 points in 77:42.

Kimmo Timonen: 3 points in 75:29.

Wayne Simmonds: 5 points in 75:28.

Brayden Schenn: 5 points in 64:54.

 

The Flyers were 3-14 on the power play and are now 7-22 in the last two weeks and 13-86 on the season. Giroux was in on all three with two goals and an assist while Vincent Lecavalier also found the back of the net. Voracek picked up two assists with Timonen, Streit and Simmonds garnering one each. The Flyers have scored a power play goal in each of their last six games.

 

PHOENIX

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: 7 points in 97:12 minutes of power play time.

Mike Ribeiro: 6 points in 92:15.

Keith Yandle: 11 points in 82:36.

Shane Doan: 8 points in 63:26.

Radim Vrbata: 7 points in 61:12.

Martin Hanzal: 5 points in 59:56.

 

The Coyotes were 1-7 this week and are now 18-83 this season. Antoine Vermette was the goal scorer with Yandle and Doan drawing the assists.

                                                         

PITTSBURGH

Evgeni Malkin: 12 points in 114:47 minutes of power play time.

Sidney Crosby: 12 points in 110:55.

Chris Kunitz: 9 points in 94:21.

Paul Martin: 5 points in 84:09.

Kris Letang: 4 points in 65:11.

Jussi Jokinen: 6 points in 50:58.

 

The Penguins were 4-13 this past week and are now 19-85 this season. Kunitz had a pair of goals and an assist while Crosby and James Neal had a goal and an assist apiece. Malkin and Martin each chipped in with a pair of helpers.

 

ST. LOUIS

Alexander Steen: 6 points in 64:55 minutes of power play time.

Alex Pietrangelo: 8 points in 64:15.

Kevin Shattenkirk: 8 points in 61:47.

David Backes: 6 points in 56:08.

T.J. Oshie: 6 points in 55:25.

Jay Bouwmeester: 7 points in 53:43.

 

The Blues were 2-7 this week and are now 20-78 this season. Derek Roy and Vladimir Tarasenko each scored with Shattenkirk, Oshie, Steen and Jaden Schwartz assisting.

 

SAN JOSE

Joe Thornton: 7 points in 93:49 minutes of power play time.

Patrick Marleau: 12 points in 91:42.

Logan Couture: 9 points in 89:54.

Joe Pavelski: 11 points in 88:10.

Jason Demers: 4 points in 56:45.

Dan Boyle: 4 points in 61:29.

 

The Sharks were 0-5 this week and are 19-97 this season.

 

TAMPA BAY

Martin St. Louis: 6 points in 85:56 minutes of power play time.

Teddy Purcell: 5 points in 82:26.

Valtteri Filppula: 8 points in 72:13.

Steve Stamkos: 4 points in 60:14.

Sami Salo: 2 points in 55:26.

Ryan Malone: 2 points in 54:52.

 

The Lightning were 1-11 this week and are now 15-84 this season. Filppula had the lone goal with St. Louis and Victor Hedman picking up the assists.

 

TORONTO

Dion Phaneuf: 3 points in 77:58 minutes of power play time.

Cody Franson: 9 points 69:58.

Phil Kessel: 6 points in 69:58.

James van Riemsdyk: 5 points in 66:15.

Joffrey Lupul: 6 points in 55:30.

Mason Raymond: 5 points in 49:31.

 

The Maple Leafs were 2-5 during the week and are 18-73 this season. Kessel and David Clarkson were the Leafs to find the back of the net with Lupul, Phaneuf, Jake Gardiner and Nazem Kadri assisting.

 

VANCOUVER

Daniel Sedin: 6 points in 85:10 minutes of power play time.

Henrik Sedin: 8 points in 84:00.

Ryan Kesler: 6 points in 81:59.

Jason Garrison: 3 points in 66:51.

Alexander Edler: 1 point in 60:01.

Dan Hamhuis: Zero points in 56:20.

 

The Canucks were 1-9 this week and are now 9-78. Kesler was the only Canuck to score as Daniel Sedin and Garrison set him up.

 

WASHINGTON

Alex Ovechkin: 14 points in 110:50 minutes of power play time.

Nicklas Backstrom: 13 points in 97:29.

Troy Brouwer: 6 points in 89:55.

Mike Green: 7 points in 86:45.

Marcus Johansson: 8 points in 71:15.

John Carlson: 3 points in 50:45.

 

The Capitals went 1-8 this week and are 22-94 this season. Ovechkin scored with Carlson and Brouwer drawing the assists. Carlson has taken over the point on the first power play, relegating Green to the second unit.

 

WINNIPEG

Dustin Byfuglien: 10 points in 97:16 minutes of power play time.

Tobias Enstrom: 4 points in 94:02.

Blake Wheeler: 5 points in 74:00.

Bryan Little: 3 points in 73:19.

Andrew Ladd: 3 points in 72:58.

Devin Setoguchi: 2 points in 58:01.

 

 

The Jets were 3-9 this week and are now 11-86. Byfuglien was in on all three, scoring twice and adding an assist. He has four goals and five points on the power play in the last two weeks. Keaton Ellerby also scored with Wheeler and Little picking up two assists each and Ladd adding one helper.
