Week of Feb. 11-17

Great Options

Pekka Rinne-Nashville Predators

Schedule: Tue vs. STL, Thu vs. CGY, Sat vs. DET

Rinne and the Predators will complete a four-game road trip on Saturday, but they’ll enjoy some home cooking for the next little while. The Preds goalie has an 8-0-1 record in his last nine decisions. He owns a 2.31 goals-against-average and a .926 save percentage this season.

Andrei Vasilevskiy-Tampa Bay Lightning

Schedule: Mon at TOR, Tue at BUF, Thu vs. DET, Sat vs. NJ

The Bolts will play four games next week and Vasilevskiy should be between the pipes for three of them. He has an impressive 32-10-2 record with a 2.27 goals-against-average and a .929 save percentage this season. The Bolts netminder has also won five of his last six outings.

Connor Hellebuyck-Winnipeg Jets

Schedule: Sun vs. NYR, Tue vs. WSH, Fri vs. COL

The Jets are coming off a miserable performance against the Blues on Friday night, so it’ll be interesting to see how they bounce back next week. Hellebuyck has given up three goals or more in five of his last six games, but he should be able to have a solid fantasy week. He has a 28-7-8 record with a 2.36 goals-against-average and a .923 save percentage.

Braden Holtby-Washington Capitals

Schedule: Sun vs. DET, Tue at WPG, Thu at MIN, Sat at CHI

Holtby has won four of his last five games and he’s suffered just one regulation loss in his last seven outings. The Caps have four games next week and no back-to-backs, which is good for his fantasy value. Expect Holtby to be between the pipes for three of the four games.

Marc-Andre Fleury-Vegas Golden Knights

Schedule: Sun vs. PHI, Tue vs. CHI, Thu vs. EDM, Sat vs. MTL

Fleury has won four of his last five decisions, but he’s given up three goals or more in each of his last three outings. He owns a 16-5-2 record with a 2.03 goals-against-average and a .934 save percentage this season. We’ll see how many teams get the “Vegas flu” next week.

Good Options

Frederik Andersen-Toronto Maple Leafs

Schedule: Mon vs. TB, Wed vs. CBJ, Sat at PIT

There’s been a lot of chatter about how Andersen has been the most valuable player on the roster this season. He’s been incredibly good, but next week’s schedule is on the tougher side, as the Leafs will play Tampa Bay and Pittsburgh. He’ll still be a good fantasy option, just not a great one.

Tuukka Rask-Boston Bruins

Schedule: Sun at NJ, Tue vs. CGY, Sat at VAN

The Bruins already announced that Anton Khudobin will start Sunday’s game against the Devils, but the other two should go to Rask, who hasn’t lost in regulation since Nov. 26. Rask has a 22-8-4 record with a 2.09 goals-against-average and a .925 save percentage this season.

Devan Dubnyk-Minnesota Wild

Schedule: Tue vs. NYR, Thu vs. WSH, Sat vs. ANA

The Wild play all three of their games at home next week, which should bode well for Dubnyk’s fantasy value. They have a mediocre road record, but they are 18-4-5 in Minnesota this season. Games against Washington and Anaheim won’t be easy, but Dubnyk should come away with a decent fantasy week when it’s all said and done.

Bad Options

Carter Hutton-St. Louis Blues

Schedule: Sun vs. PIT, Tue at NSH, Thu at DAL

Hutton has been very good since getting the starting gig from Jake Allen, but his upcoming schedule is brutal. The Penguins have been rolling, while Nashville and Dallas continue to be elite teams in the Western Conference. There are better weeks ahead for Hutton, but he should be avoided next week.

Carey Price-Montreal Canadiens

Schedule: Wed at COL, Thu at ARZ, Sat at VGK

Price and the Canadiens will be heading out West next week. With the playoffs out the question this year, expect Montreal to falter quite a bit down the stretch. Price has a 15-20-4 record with a 2.95 goals-against-average and a .906 save percentage this season. He has just one win in his last five games.

Henrik Lundqvist-New York Rangers

Schedule: Sun at WPG, Tue at MIN, Thu at NYI, Sat at OTT

Now that the Rangers have announced that their rebuilding, expect them to drop in the standings. They have four road games over the next seven days, which likely means that they won’t come away with many victories.
