Regan Smith's day at the Talladega 2.66-mile oval ended prematurely due to a broken engine valve on Lap 99 of 191.
He is looking for a reversal of fortune at the 1.5-mile Texas Motor Speedway, site of Sunday's Dickies 500 Sprint cup race. "We have to avoid the hiccups," stated Smith. "Too many hiccups makes it a long day. We're due for a clean race and a strong result." The Denver-based Sprint Cup team will roll out a new Furniture Row chassis for the Texas event. -DMF Communications Nov. 6 - 10:53 am et |
