 RCR fields truck for Tim George Jr. at PIR
Richard Childress Racing will field the No. 22 Chevrolet Silverado for up-and-coming driver Tim George Jr. in the November 13 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Phoenix International Raceway.
George, 28, recently completed his first full season in the ARCA RE/MAX Series, finishing 11th in the 2009 point standings driving for Eddie Sharp Racing. This is the No. 48 Lowe's Chevrolet driver's 23rd pole in 291 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. It is his fourth pole and 26th top-10 start in 2009. Kurt Busch leads the first practice for the November 22nd Sprint Cup Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
Busch’s lap of 173.433 mph in the No. 2 Dodge was the quickest of the 48 cars out on the track for the first practice session. No. 42 Juan Pablo Montoya, No. 33 Clint Bowyer, No. 39 Ryan Newman and No. 20 Joey Logano were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. No. 08 Terry Labonte, at 164.564 mph, was the slowest.
