Garnett hits game-winner, Pierce huge in win
Garnett
After a 4-of-14 shooting night, Kevin Garnett hit the game-winning shot in overtime to put the Knicks down 107-105 on Sunday, and also added seven rebounds and one assist.
Paul Pierce was a much bigger factor, scoring all of the Celtics' overtime points on his way to a season-high 33 points to go with nine rebounds, six assists, one steal, and two blocks. Garnett tweaked his knee on Friday, but looks like he will play through it, and could struggle along the way. Nov. 22 - 4:49 pm et
McGrady now to miss practice with sore back
McGrady
Tracy McGrady did not attend Saturday's game or go through his customary pregame workout because of a sore back.
Rather than have an MRI on Monday for his knee, it appears he's having one Sunday for his back and his knee. He was scheduled to practice Monday and have his situation evaluated then, but it appears that we may be in full blown soap opera mode. The timing of his injury is curious, to say the least.  McMillan takes keys from Miller, gives to Roy
Coach Nate McMillan acknowledged Saturday that the reason he brought Andre Miller off the bench in Saturday's game was to give the keys to the offense back to Brandon Roy.
Apparently Roy couldn't operate without the ball, which confirms why the Blazers would want use Miller off the bench, even if it does bring into question why they brought him to Portland in the first place. The lineup including Steve Blake at point guard and Martell Webster at small forward could be locked into place. Nov. 22 - 1:45 pm et

 Arenas goes off...in a post-game interview
Arenas
Gilbert Arenas accused his teammates of having "hidden agendas" after Saturday's loss, which dropped the Wizards to 3-9.
Arenas mentioned that eight of his teammates will be free agents this summer. "I converted my game to try to get people involved, but at the end of the day, to be honest, this is the same team since three years ago," he said. "Do I have to go in attack mode like I was two years ago to get us over this hump? I hope not...I think the only person who actually had to sacrifice is me. Everybody else can just play their game." It remains to be seen whether this diatribe awakens the Wizards or makes things even worse. Nov. 22 - 2:36 am et

Martell Webster starts, gets 21 pts & 13 reb
Webster
Trail Blazers swingman Martell Webster started Saturday's game over Andre Miller, finishing with a season-high 21 points and a career-high 13 rebounds. He played 31 minutes.
The Blazers easily defeated the Timberwolves and there's no reason to think this lineup will change before Portland's next game. Webster made 7-of-13 FGs and 4-of-7 three-pointers, with two assists and just one turnover. With a starting gig in hand, he's worth picking up on the strength of this line alone. Nov. 22 - 1:13 am et
Derrick Rose breaks out for season-high 28
Rose
Derrick Rose broke out for a season-high 28 points against the Nuggets on Saturday, making 11-of-20 FGs and 6-of-7 FTs with six rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Rose turned the ball over five times, but his explosion and timing are starting to return after his early-season struggles (induced by an ankle injury). The Bulls lost on Saturday, but hopefully Rose's performance will kick him into high gear. Nov. 22 - 12:27 am et
K-Mart blocks four shots in win vs. Bulls
Martin
The Nuggets moved to 9-4 with a win on Saturday, aided by Kenyon Martin's eight points, 11 rebounds, two assists and four blocks.
K-Mart is fighting through injuries, playing big minutes, locking down players defensively, and generally providing solid fantasy value. Keep riding him until the wheels fall off. Nov. 22 - 12:23 am et
Melo leads Nuggets to 15th straight home win
Anthony
Carmelo Anthony scored 30 points on Saturday as the Nuggets defeated the Bulls for their 15th consecutive home victory.
Melo has scored 30+ points in nine of his first 13 games this season, and seems driven to win a scoring title. With his size and skill set, we're not betting against him. Nov. 22 - 12:13 am et
Caron Butler struggles again in Wizards' loss
Butler
Caron Butler had just eight points, five rebounds and one assist in 32 minutes on Saturday, as the Wizards lost again and fell to 3-9.
Butler's struggles continue and he hasn't been much of a factor this season for the equally-struggling Wizards. The most noteable change (probably the result of Flip Saunders' system) is his complete drop-off in assists -- from 4.3 last season to 1.2 this season. Nov. 22 - 12:00 am et
