Report: Brand to stay in starting lineup
Brand
Kate Fagan tweeted Wednesday that Elton Brand will stay in the starting lineup for the Sixers - for now.
Coach Eddie Jordan says the potential benching of Brand is a 'sensitive issue' (ya think?) and that after discussing it with his staff and EB, they've decided to leave him in the starting five. Brand is no longer an automatic start, but this news does offer a glimmer of hope that he'll get it turned around at some point. Nov. 18 - 5:57 pm et

Boozer leads Jazz to ninth straight victory
Boozer
Carlos Boozer poured in 34 points (13-of-17 FGs, 8-of-9 FTs), 14 rebounds, four assists and four steals in Tuesday's win over the Clippers, Utah's ninth consecutive victory.
The Jazz are red-hot going into the All-Star break, and Boozer hasn't missed a beat since returning from his calf injury. His name is no longer appearing in many trade rumors and it seems like Utah hopes to keep this chemistry going into the postseason. Feb. 10 - 1:06 am et
Lamar Odom expects to play on Wednesday
Odom
Lamar Odom intends to play vs. the Jazz on Wednesday despite a sore right foot.
He had a CT scan and MRI on Tuesday, both of which came back negative. He is officially 'probable' and with Andrew Bynum (hip) ruled out we fully expect a big night from Lamar. Feb. 10 - 12:14 am et

Carmelo's return leads Nuggets to blowout win
Anthony
Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday, as the Nuggets celebrated his return from an ankle injury with their biggest victory of the season.
Denver led by 26 points at halftime, then cruised to a 36-point margin of victory. Melo made 8-of-16 FGs with three 3-pointers, four rebounds and six assists in 30 minutes -- clearly it's safe to get him back into all lineups. Feb. 9 - 11:54 pm et
Aaron Brooks shut down by Heat's gameplan
Brooks
Aaron Brooks was held to 10 points on atrocious 3-of-16 shooting in Tuesday's loss to the Heat. He added just one assist, while turning the ball over four times.
After the game Dwyane Wade said, "We knew who was the head of the snake on their team ... We knew we had to be there when Aaron Brooks turned corners." Hopefully every team doesn't start to plot their strategy against Houston's speedy PG. Feb. 9 - 11:14 pm et
Nets hopeful Harris will return on Wednesday
Harris
The Nets are hopeful Devin Harris (shoulder) can return Wednesday against Milwaukee.
Harris is having a disappointing, injury-plagued season, averaging 15.8 points and 6.3 assists. It would probably make more sense for the Nets to rest him through the All-Star break, so we're options carefully. Feb. 9 - 11:06 pm et

 Donte' Greene scores 24 w/ four 3-pointers
Kings forward Donte' Greene had another strong game vs. the Knicks, posting 24 points on 9-of-12 shooting, with four 3-pointers, eight rebounds, three assists and one steal.
Greene played nearly 40 minutes despite some foul trouble, and has clearly earned the trust of coach Paul Westphal. He boasts a rare combination of steals, blocks and 3-pointers, and fantasy owners can certainly do worse. Feb. 9 - 11:04 pm et
Tyreke Evans has 27, 10 & 6 in OT victory
Evans
Kings rookie Tyreke Evans made another statement in his Rookie of the Year campaign, finishing two stays OT victory with 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Evans was the latest player to steal the spotlight in MSG, as the Kings rallied to force overtime and never looked back. Congratulations if you drafted the powerful guard this season, as he was invariably a steal. Feb. 9 - 10:56 pm et
Spencer Hawes plays less than six minutes
Hawes
Kings center Spencer Hawes started but played a grand total of 5:45 in Tuesday's game, going scoreless with one rebound.
He was subbed out at the same time as fellow starter Beno Udrih and neither one returned to the game, so we can only assume coach Paul Westphal was playing the matchup game vs. the Knicks. Nights like this have been the bane of Hawes' season, and there's no reason to think things will change post-All-Star break. Feb. 9 - 10:55 pm et
Wilson Chandler erupts for season-high 35 pts
Chandler
The Knicks fell to the Kings in OT on Tuesday, despite getting a season-high 35 points from Wilson Chandler, who made 15-of-23 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs.
Chandler, who was coming off a a six-point game, added five rebounds, two steals, two blocks in just one turnover in nearly 47 minutes. He's been playing well after a dreadful November and should be a reliable option the rest of the way. Feb. 9 - 10:45 pm et
