 Source: Warriors shopping Ellis
Ellis
RotoWorld has learned that the Warriors may be shopping guard Monta Ellis in an effort to improve their draft position.
If the Warriors want to move into a position to have a shot at Yi Jianlian (which has been widely reported), Ellis is a great place to start. The young phenom won the league's Most Improved Player Award last year after being taken in the second round of the 2005 draft straight out of high school. The Hawks, Grizzlies, Celtics and Bucks would all have to listen to any talk about Ellis, and those teams hold picks 3-6, any of which would nearly guarantee that the Warriors get a shot at Yi. Incidentally, all but the Celtics are in need of a guard with the skills Ellis offers. Yi offers tremendous marketing opportunities in the Bay area, and the Warriors have been rumored to be pursuing him for a few weeks now. Jun. 25 - 11:10 pm et
Tyreke Evans has 27, 10 & 6 in OT victory
Evans
Kings rookie Tyreke Evans made another statement in his Rookie of the Year campaign, finishing two stays OT victory with 27 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and one steal.
Evans was the latest player to steal the spotlight in MSG, as the Kings rallied to force overtime and never looked back. Congratulations if you drafted the powerful guard this season, as he was invariably a steal. Feb. 9 - 10:56 pm et
Spencer Hawes plays less than six minutes
Hawes
Kings center Spencer Hawes started but played a grand total of 5:45 in Tuesday's game, going scoreless with one rebound.
He was subbed out at the same time as fellow starter Beno Udrih and neither one returned to the game, so we can only assume coach Paul Westphal was playing the matchup game vs. the Knicks. Nights like this have been the bane of Hawes' season, and there's no reason to think things will change post-All-Star break. Feb. 9 - 10:55 pm et
Wilson Chandler erupts for season-high 35 pts
Chandler
The Knicks fell to the Kings in OT on Tuesday, despite getting a season-high 35 points from Wilson Chandler, who made 15-of-23 FGs and 5-of-6 FTs.
Chandler, who was coming off a a six-point game, added five rebounds, two steals, two blocks in just one turnover in nearly 47 minutes. He's been playing well after a dreadful November and should be a reliable option the rest of the way. Feb. 9 - 10:45 pm et
Kevin Martin comes off bench, may be injured
Martin
Kevin Martin got hot at the end of Tuesday's overtime victory in New York, finishing with 17 points (7-of-13 FGs), four rebounds, one assist and one steal in 31 minutes.
He skipped shootaround with a migraine and was therefore obligated to come off the bench, but the Kings appeared to be showcasing him in the fourth quarter and OT. Knicks' announcer Walt Frazier mentioned Martin leaving with an injury at the very end of the game, so check back soon for an update. Feb. 9 - 10:38 pm et
Granger posts 27 & 10 in loss on Tuesday
Granger
Danny Granger broke out for 27 points, 10 rebounds and three assists on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough to defeat the visiting Bulls.
Granger made 9-of-23 FGs, 3-of-7 threes, and 6-of-7 FTs in one of his most energetic games in recent memory. This was his third double-double of the season and could be a sign that he's regaining his rhythm as we enter the home stretch. Feb. 9 - 10:27 pm et
Marion last-second scratch w/ tight back
Marion
Shawn Marion was a last-second scratch on Tuesday because of lower back tightness.
The Mavericks moved Josh Howard into the starting lineup, and it wouldn't be surprising if Marion also rests vs. the Suns on Wednesday. Considering his muted production it's probably wise to bench him in daily leagues. Feb. 9 - 9:18 pm et

Kenyon Martin sidelined by knee tendinitis
Martin
Kenyon Martin will not play on Tuesday because of left knee tendinitis.
K-Mart's starting gig will be temporarily given to veteran Malik Allen. This is a tough break with just two games on the Nuggets' schedule this week, and very little warning that he was a DNP risk. Consider him day-to-day. Feb. 9 - 8:17 pm et

Devin Harris is out on Tuesday, as expected
Harris
Devin Harris (sprained AC joint) will not play on Tuesday night, as expected.
We would be surprised if Harris suits up tomorrow as well. He'll rest up during the All-Star break and try to get closer to 100 percent, although we all know the next injury isn't far off. Keyon Dooling gets the starts. Feb. 9 - 6:08 pm et

Relief: Monta Ellis just has a knee sprain
Ellis
Monta Ellis' MRI revealed a mild left knee sprain and his status for Thursday's game against the Clippers is unknown.
Owners can breathe a sigh of relief after watching Ellis writhe in pain while clutching his knee Tuesday night. Ellis will be re-evaluated on Thursday and the fact that the Warriors are even considering suiting him up is obviously a great sign. Consider him day-to-day for now and he'll test the knee in warm-ups tomorrow. Feb. 9 - 5:56 pm et
