Ronnie Brown rushed for four touchdowns and passed for a fifth score while totaling 141 yards in Week 3 against the Patriots.
Amazing. Brown did little through two weeks, but got the start Sunday and responded with a monster game. Four of his five scores came while lining up at quarterback in a shotgun formation, with Chad Pennington out wide at receiver. New England had absolutely no answer for the formation, as Brown ran up the gut for two scores, threw a lefty strike to Anthony Fasano on a rollout play for the first passing touchdown of his career and then capped his sick afternoon with a 62-yard sprint down the sidelines. It's an usual breakout game given the odd formation that led to most of Brown's big gains, but clearly he's finally feeling good following knee surgery and is safely above Ricky Williams on the depth chart.
