 Rumors have Gaborik going to Vancouver
There are rumors that current Minnesota Wild forward Marian Gaborik has bought a house in Vancouver.
That ought to start the rumor mill going into high gear. Gaborik will become an unrestricted free agent on July 1 if the Wild are unable to sign him before that, but all indications seem to point to Gaborik at least testing the waters of free agency. Gaborik's agent Ron Salcer has not eliminated the Wild from consideration but it is beginning to look like Gaborik will escape from the Wild. Gaborik will be one of, if not the most, sought after free agents this season as his scoring ability will blind a lot of GM's in comparison to his injury problems. Stay tuned. Jun. 24 - 7:32 am et

 Getzlaf is day-to-day with ankle injury
Getzlaf
Ryan Getzlaf is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury.
His MRI on Tuesday was encouraging in that it did not reveal any significant ligament damage or tears. Getzlaf is hopeful he will alright to play in the Olympics, but it remains to be seen if he will end up playing in any Anaheim's games prior to donning the Team Canada colors. Stay tuned for updates.  Stars acquire Lehtonen from Atlanta
Kari Lehtonen has been traded to the Dallas stars for defenseman Ivan Vishnevskiy and a fourth-round draft pick in the 2010 draft.
Lehtonen had just rejoined the Thrashers after a conditioning stint in the minors when the deal went down. He has not played in a game yet this season due to back surgery. Now the Stars have a crowded crease with three netminders. Lehtonen, Marty Turco and Alex Auld will be competing for ice time until the team can work out another possible trade. Stay tuned.  Kane scores twice in win over Stars

Patrick Kane scored two goals in Chicago's 4-3 shootout win over the Dallas Stars Tuesday night.
It was Kane's 23rd and 24th goals of the season. It was his third two goal game of the season, and he is just one goal shy of his career high of 25 that he set last season. Patrick Sharp assisted on both of Kane's goals. Feb. 9 - 11:18 pm et
 Kariya scores twice in win over Red Wings
Kariya
Paul Kariya had two goals in the Blues 4-3 shootout win over the Detroit Red Wings Tuesday night.
He also fired a game high seven shots on goal. Kariya is having one of the worst seasons of his impressive career, but hopefully this performance is the beginning of a turnaround for the Vancouver native. Andy McDonald scored the other goal for St. Louis. Feb. 9 - 11:10 pm et
 Spezza scores again in win over Flames

Jason Spezza scored a goal and added an assist in the Senators 3-2 win over the Calgary Flames Tuesday night.
What a goal rush! It was Spezza's 10th goal in his last 10 games, after scoring just three in his first 27 contests. Alexei Kovalev also scored for Ottawa. Feb. 9 - 10:36 pm et
 St.Louis has three points in win over Canucks
Martin St.Louis had two goals and an assist in Tampa Bay's 3-1 win over the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night.
Captain consistency just keeps on scoring. He now has eight goals in his last nine games. He has 12 points in that span. Steve Stamkos also scored and added an assist for the Bolts. Feb. 9 - 10:19 pm et
 Streit with two points in win over Nashville
Streit
Mark Streit had a goal and an assist in the Islanders 4-3 shootout win over the Nashville Predators Tuesday night.
It was Streit's first points in seven games. He now has 31 points in 59 games this season. It's been a relatively disappointing season for Streit owners, after the veteran defenseman had a combined 118 points the last two seasons. John Tavares had the shootout winner for the Islanders.  Cullen has three points in win over Panthers
Matt Cullen had one goal and two assists in the Hurricanes 4-1 win over the Florida Panthers Tuesday night.
The three point effort gives Cullen 10 points in his last 9 games. Eric Staal, Joni Pitkanen, and Jussi Jokinen also scored for Carolina. Feb. 9 - 9:45 pm et
 Rumor: Lehtonen headed to Dallas
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that Kari Lehtonen may be traded to Dallas.
