Daniel Sedin ready to return on Sunday
Sedin
Daniel Sedin (foot) will return to the Vancouver lineup on Sunday against the Blackhawks.
Sedin has been out action with a broken foot since Oct. 7 and is anxious to be back patrolling the wing with his brother, Henrik, again. Henrik Sedin did well in his twin's absence, notching 18 points in 18 games, but coach Alain Vigneault admitted that something was missing in his game without Daniel. "Yes, Henrik did get the same number of points, but his game and the way he gets his points, especially the time he spends in the other zone was not nearly as efficient as it is when his brother is there," said the Canucks' bench boss. "When they spend so much time in the other zone, the other team is spending energy defending without the puck. I think it will be real good to get his brother back. That's part of our game we expect and we need. It's going to be good to have those two guys back." Get him back in your lineup as soon as you can. Nov. 22 - 11:39 am et

Khabibulin sits out because of back injury
Khabibulin
Nikolai Khabibulin was supposed to start Saturday's game against Chicago, but did not dress due to a back injury he aggravated in the morning skate.

Detroit loses Kronwall to knee injury
Detroit lost defenseman Niklas Kronwall in the first period on Saturday after a knee-on-knee hit from Montreal tough guy Georges Laraque.
"That's something that shouldn't happen in hockey," coach Mike Babcock said. "A guy shouldn't hang his leg out there and hurt another guy. It's unacceptable and it's disappointing because we just lost a good hockey player for a period of time. Our doctors will look at him (Sunday), but he's out for a chunk of time for sure." The Wings are hopeful that he just suffered a sprained MCL, but will not know the full extent of the injury until they get the MRIs back. "Right now our guess is he's out a minimum of two weeks, but we won't know until we get the pictures the extent of the injury," GM Ken Holland said. Stay tuned. Nov. 22 - 10:20 am et

Kane
Patrick Kane is currently on a nine-game point streak for the Blackhawks.
He has amassed five goals and eight assists over that span after scoring a goal and a helper in Chicago's 5-2 win over Edmonton on Saturday night. Kane should be active in all fantasy formats as he should be knocking on the 80-85 point barrier this season. Nov. 22 - 9:37 am et
