The Hurricanes are reeling after losing their 11th straight game Friday night.
What makes matters worse, is that the loss was against one of the weaker teams in the NHL, the Maple Leafs. In the past, players such as Rod Brind'Amour could spark Carolina. However it seems Brind'Amour is quickly nearing retirement as he has lost much of his effectiveness. Nov. 7 - 8:24 am et

Devin Setoguchi has been placed on the Sharks' injured reserve list.

 Wild snatch Ebbett off waivers from Hawks
Andrew Ebbett has been claimed off waivers by the Minnesota Wild.
The Wild will be Ebbett's third new team this season after the Blackhawks picked him up off the waiver wire on October 17th from the Anaheim Ducks. Ebbett has not been able to catch on anywhere so far this season, scoring just one goal in 12 games. He has no fantasy value at this time. Nov. 21 - 3:56 pm et

 Stafford will not play on Saturday
Stafford
Drew Stafford will not play on Saturday night due to a lower-body bone bruise.
He suffered the injury on Friday night against Boston and is listed as day-to-day. The Sabres will not recall anyone to replace him for Saturday's game and will dress 11 forwards versus Ottawa. However, coach Lindy Ruff said that Andrej Sekera will be put back into the lineup and he or Steve Montador will move up from the blueline and play up front. Nov. 21 - 3:19 pm et

Tom Poti will miss Saturday night's game against Toronto due to an upper body injury he sustained in Friday's 3-2 loss to Montreal.
