Henrik Lundqvist will not play on Saturday due to an undisclosed injury.
Rangers coach John Tortorella, who previously stated that Lundqvist would play between the pipes Saturday, now thinks his starting goaltender needs some rest. Tortorella wouldn't provide any details beyond that, but this could be related to a nagging upper thigh/groin that Lundqvist has been battling. Lundqvist spent more than an hour Saturday receiving treatment, but he seemed pretty confident that he could play on Thursday. "It's just a minor little thing that's been bugging me, so it's a good time to get a break, we're not playing til Thursday, so a couple days off here and be good to go," Lundqvist said.
