Commodore's issue appears to just be fatigue
Mike Commodore got a clean bill of health from doctors on Saturday.
He had tests on Friday to determine if his conditioning problem was related to a more serious problem, but his blood results came back without an issue detected. The Columbus defender is still waiting for the results of his vitamin levels, but there were no illnesses or viruses present in his system. Commodore missed Friday's game due to fatigue and there is a chance he will sit out Monday's game versus Edmonton as well. Nov. 15 - 10:22 am et

 Gagne ahead of schedule
Gagne
It seems that Simon Gagne is ahead of schedule in his recovery from hernia and abdominal surgery.
He is skating now and seems to be two weeks ahead of the original prognosis. Barring any setbacks, the Flyers now expect he may be able to return to action by or just after Christmas. Nov. 21 - 11:48 am et

 Leclair likely starter Saturday
Although it has not been confirmed, we expect Pascal Leclaire to get the start against the Sabres Saturday.
He played well against the Penguins on Thursday and we don't believe Ottawa coach Cory Clouston wants to fool around with the team's recent good karma. Nov. 21 - 11:41 am et
Regin to draw back in against Sabres
With the injury to Shean Donovan (knee) and the absence of Alexei Kovalev (personal), Peter Regin and Ryan Shannon will draw back into the Senators' lineup.
Both had been recent healthy scratches. In Friday's scrimmages, Regin skated between Jesse Winchester and Jonathan Cheechoo, while Shannon subbed in for Kovalev on a line with Mike Fisher and Nick Foligno. Neither Regin or Shannon have any fantasy value. Nov. 21 - 11:32 am et

Roloson likely starter Saturday vs Blues
Look for Dwayne Roloson to get the start Saturday against St.Louis.
We were actually surprised that Roloson did not get the start Friday night against his former club, Minnesota. Given that Martin Biron played in Friday's contest, we expect Roloson to get the call against the Blues. Nov. 21 - 11:17 am et
 Dubinksy has cast removed
Dubinsky
Brandon Dubinksy had the cast removed from his broken right hand on Friday.
The feisty pivot is now wearing a brace and is progressing nicely. Dubinksy has not played since November 7th and will likely not return to the Ranger lineup for another 10-14 days. But he is getting closer to a return to action. Nov. 21 - 11:04 am et

 Drury back on ice
Chris Drury skated Friday for the first time since he sustained a concussion two weeks ago.
He was medically cleared to resume practice on Thursday. We suspect Drury will need a few days of conditioning before he gets into a game. Keep him on reserve for now. Nov. 21 - 11:00 am et

Zubrus out 4=6 weeks with broken kneecap
Dainius Zubrus will be out of action for 4-6 weeks with a hairline fracture in his right kneecap (patella).
Zubrus will undergo surgery Friday to stabilize the area and could begin walking shortly thereafter. The Devils will likely not call up a forward to replace Zubrus on the roster but instead will dress seven defensemen against the Stars. Look for rookie rearguard Matt Corrente to make his NHL debut. No word on how the Devils will re-arrange their forward lines as a result of Zubrus' injury. Nov. 21 - 10:55 am et

Danis to get start Saturday vs Dallas
Yann Danis will get his third start of the season Saturday against Dallas.
It is one of those rare circumstances where a New Jersey coach was able to convince Martin Brodeur to take a night off. Adjust your goaltending rotation accordingly. Nov. 21 - 10:49 am et

Price may get start Saturday vs Wings
Price
Carey Price may get the start Saturday against Detroit despite the fact he played Friday night in Washington.
Price was outstanding against the Caps and coach Jacques Martin will be tempted to start him again despite the back-to-back contests. FYI, Jaroslav Halak last started 11 days ago. Check our probable goaltenders chart for updates. Nov. 21 - 10:41 am et
