Alex Ovechkin has been given a two-game suspension for a knee-on-knee hit on Carolina defenseman Tim Gleason on Monday night.
Ovechkin received a five-minute major and a game misconduct for the infraction and both players left the game with injuries. It was his second game misconduct in the last three games and he is listed as day-to-day with a sore knee. "It's not a bad injury," said Ovechkin. "I thought it was going to be worse, but thank God I can walk, I can skate. Of course, it's a little bit sore, but it's not that serious." Dec. 1 - 4:30 pm et Source: TSN.ca |
