Antonio Bryant's knee continues to swell up
Bryant
Antonio Bryant admitted Friday that he has experienced more swelling in the knee he had surgically repaired in training camp. He did not practice Friday.
Bryant, listed as questionable, will be a game-day decision against Green Bay. "The swelling puts stress on the quad, which isn’t good, especially for my position where I’m running and cutting," he said. Coach Raheem Morris also admitted that it's quite possible Bryant will have to sit out Week 9. Avoid all Bucs skill players this week as Josh Freeman makes his starting debut. Nov. 6 - 1:27 pm et

Ladell Betts done for day with knee injury
Betts
Ladell Betts is out of Sunday's game against the Cowboys with a knee injury and will not return.
Betts got hit by two Cowboys and his back leg got rolled up on awkwardly. It looked like he may have re-injured his foot sprain at first, but it turns out Betts' knee was damaged. The fact that he was ruled out for the rest of the game so quickly is a bad sign. Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther are the only other running backs active today for the Redskins.  Syracuse WR Williams to enter the NFL Draft
Syracuse WR Mike Williams, who dropped out of school three weeks ago, will enter the 2010 NFL draft.
The NFL always has room for another Mike Williams with off-field issues. This version caught 60 balls for 837 yards and 10 touchdowns as a true sophomore in 2007. He left Syracuse because coach Doug Marrone was poised to suspend Williams for being involved in a car accident with teammates. Williams also missed the entire 2008 season for breaking Syracuse's "Academic Integrity Policy." He has first-round ability (4.4 speed, 6'2/210 build), but figures to be available in the second or third. Nov. 22 - 12:59 pm et

Pierre Garcon active for Colts vs. Baltimore
Garcon
Pierre Garcon (ankle) is active for the Colts Sunday, as expected.
Garcon was listed as "questionable" but put in a full practice both Thursday and Friday. He's healthy, but is nothing more than a WR3 option as he hasn't caught more than five passes in a game all season. Nov. 22 - 12:05 pm et
Roddy White active Sunday against the Giants
White
Roddy White is active Sunday against the Giants, as expected.
White was listed as questionable on the injury report coming in, but hasn't missed a game in his five-year career. The Giants have struggled badly to cover No. 1 receivers of late, so White is a high-quality WR1 play on Sunday. Nov. 22 - 11:48 am et
Falcons RBs Norwood, Turner are both inactive
Norwood
Jerious Norwood (hip) and Michael Turner (ankle) are both inactive for Week 11 against the Giants.
Norwood got some practice time in this week, but it wasn't enough to get him cleared for his usual duties. Jason Snelling will be an every-down back at New York. The Falcons' other inactives are WR Brian Finneran, LB Spencer Adkins, OT Garrett Reynolds, DT Trey Lewis, OL Quinn Ojinnaka, and third QB John Parker Wilson. Nov. 22 - 11:37 am et
Albert Haynesworth will not play for Redskins
Haynesworth
Albert Haynesworth (ankle) will not play against the Cowboys Sunday.
Kedric Golston gets the start and is obviously a big downgrade. Upgrade Marion Barber's matchup, especially considering how much the Cowboys emphasized the run this week. Haynesworth's bulk in the middle will be sorely missed. Nov. 22 - 11:26 am et

Simms will start for Broncos against Bolts
Simms
ESPN's Chris Mortensen confirms that Chris Simms will start for the Broncos on Sunday against the Chargers.
Starting Simms is the smart move for the Broncos, as they don't want to risk further injury to Kyle Orton's ankle. Simms was awful in relief of Orton last week, completing just 3-of-13 pass attempts with a pick. Look for the Broncos to try and pound the ball on the ground today. Nov. 22 - 11:21 am et

Turner will not play, Snelling starts for ATL
Turner
ESPN's Rachel Nichols reports that Michael Turner (ankle) will not play on Sunday against the Giants, and Jason Snelling will get the start for the Falcons.
Turner was listed as doubtful on the injury report and has no timetable for return. He is likely out for a couple of weeks with a high ankle sprain. Snelling and Aaron Stecker will try to fill in as best as they can for the Falcons. Struggling QB Matt Ryan will have to carry the offense with Turner absent. Nov. 22 - 10:58 am et

Steve Slaton regains starting job for Texans
Slaton
Steve Slaton will start for the Texans against the Titans on Monday night.
We thought that Slaton would have to prove he can hold on to the ball before getting his starting job back, but coach Gary Kubiak is apparently convinced. Slaton's role was due to grow anyway because he's clearly their best back, but this a great sign that he has his coach's confidence. Look for Slaton to still share carries with Chris Brown and Ryan Moats, but we like him as a solid flex play this week. Nov. 21 - 2:05 pm et
