 Kyle Halderman - WRAug. 11 - 4:30 pm et
Air Force wide receiver Kyle Halderman will miss approximately two months with a broken collarbone.
Halderman's loss leaves a hole at the 'Z' wide receiver position.  The likely candidates to replace him are Jonathan Warzeka and a number of freshman.

 Kyle Halderman - WROct. 4 - 11:15 pm et
Primary used strictly as an extension of the Air Force Fighting Falcons' ground attack, sophomore wide receiver Kyle Halderman grabbed his first three catches of his career today against Navy, netting 62 yards and a touchdown.
Halderman was also useful in the the Falcons' rushing attack, taking four carres for 32 yards on the ground. He still has yet to break 100 yards total in offense in any game played thus far this season but could still merit watching as the year progresses.

 Shea Smith - QBSep. 13 - 10:00 pm et
If ever there was an offense that could thrive in the lingering weather conditions of a hurricane, it would have to be the Air Force Fighting Falcons. Running the ball some 71 times as a team, freshman quarterback Shea Smith served as the focal point of an Air Force ground attack that netted the youngster 91 yards rushing and three touchdowns against the Houston Cougars.
Smith attempted only seven pass attempts for the game, hitting none of them; but when you can use the triple option to such affect that it gets you nearly 100 yards rushing and a three-time visit to the endzone, who does going 0-for-7 really matter?

 Ryan Harrison - KAug. 31 - 6:49 pm et
Senior placekicker for the Air Force Fighting Falcons, Ryan Harrison, was solid in his 2008 debut against Southern Illinois, hitting 3-of-3 field goals on the day and nailing all four of his PATs.
The senior finished last year 19-of-27 in field goal attempts and missed only one PAT the entire season; all in all, he put up 101 total points, making him a solid fantasy option at kicker out in the MWC
 Kyle Halderman - WRAug. 31 - 6:48 pm et
Though listed as a wide receiver, sophomore Kyle Halderman finished second in rushing for the Air Force Fighting Falcons in Saturday's home opener against Southern Utah. He finished with six rushes for 87 yards and a touchdown
An interesting potential fantasy option, Halderman takes over the Z-back position for former standout Chad Hall; the role includes time split at wide receiver, halfback, and slotback and could make Halderman an all-purpose sleeper in the MWC at the 2008 season moves forward.
 Shea Smith - QBAug. 31 - 6:47 pm et
Appearing in his first career start as a senior, Air Force Fighting Falcons quarterback Shea Smith not only completed 75% of his passes in Saturday's opener against Southern Utah, but also led the team for rushing with 91 yards on the ground. In total, Smith has 166 all-purpose yards on the day and two touchdowns.
Against an opponent like Southern Utah, it's hard to get an accurate read on Smith's potential fantasy worth. Keep an eye on the senior quarterback, however, as there could be increasing value associated with Smith if he develops into a solid dual-threat leader under center for Air Force.
 Ty Paffett - WRAug. 11 - 8:46 pm et
Wide receiver Ty Paffett is still recovering from offseason back surgery and may not be ready to go for the start of the season.
Paffett left spring ball as the favorite to take over at the Z receiver position. A position formerly held by fantasy stud and league commissioners' worst nightmare Chad Hall. Given the nature of the injury (back), Paffett has been unable to practice or work on his conditioning. Which will be a major hindrance to his return. Kyle Halderman is currently listed as the starter on depth chart.

 Chad Hall - RBOct. 27 - 1:00 pm et
Air Force running back/wide receiver Chad Hall score twice more against New Mexico while gaining 163 yards from scrimmage.
Hall's 1254 yards and 12 scores make him one of college fantasy football's best players, and also one of its best-kept secrets.

 Kip McCarthy - RBOct. 24 - 5:00 pm et
Starting tailback Kip McCarthy will not play this Thursday because of a knee bruise.
With McCarthy out look for Chad Hall to once again get plenty of carries this week. Hall is listed as a WR in many leagues and this means bonus points for those that own him.

 Kip McCarthy - RBSep. 6 - 2:58 pm et
Starting running back Kip McCarthy is questionable this week against Mountain West foe Utah.
McCarthy started the opener and ran for 129 yards and a score. McCarthy missed practice on Monday and Tuesday with swelling in his knee. He returned to practice on Wednesday. His status for this Saturday will depend on how his knee responds.
