 Dominique Davis - QBDec. 18 - 8:00 pm et
Former Boston College quarterback Dominique Davis will play for East Carolina in 2010.  The JUCO transfer signed a letter of intent on Friday.
Three-year starter Patrick Pinkney graduates, giving Davis an opportunity to compete for the starting job.  Davis will arrive on campus in January, which means he will participate in spring ball.

 Montel Harris - RBDec. 7 - 11:00 am et
USC and Boston College will play in the Emerald Bowl on Dec. 26 at 8 p.m.
Trojan running back Joe McKnight and Eagles running back Montel Harris will try to penetrate the others rush defense.  This is setting up to be more of a defensive battle than one full of offensive fireworks.

 Montel Harris - RBNov. 20 - 5:15 pm et
Boston College running back Montel Harris sat out practice on Thursday with a sore back, but coach Frank Spaziani tells The Boston Herald this is in large part to the sophomore "carrying everybody."
Harris has been a beast on the ground, carrying the ball 65 times in the last two outings. He's banged up and he'll play against North Carolina on Saturday; he may find running room difficult this week.

 Montel Harris - RBNov. 15 - 8:00 am et
Boston College fed their running back Montel Harris the rock early and often, as Harris received 38 carries he took for 151 yards.
Harris has carried 25 or more times in five of the past seven games, and it's fairly clear at this point that Boston College offensive production means Harris getting the ball.

 Josh Haden - RBNov. 5 - 8:30 pm et
Former Boston College running back Josh Haden, who decided to transfer last week, said BC just "wasn't right" for him, and he still thinks highly of the school. He doesn't know where he'll matriculate next.
Haden struggled with injuries and then saw fellow sophomore running back Montel Harris blow up. He'll likely transfer to an FBS school and make an impact in 2011.

 Montel Harris - RBNov. 1 - 12:15 am et
The Boston College Eagles leaned heavily on the legs of running back Montel Harris once again this week. Harris carried 27 times for 136 yards and two touchdowns, while catching two passes for 37 yards.
After his monster five touchdown game against NC State Harris had a bit of a hiccup last week against Nortre Dame, but bounced back nicely with this performance. The important thing to note is the increase in his carries in the past three games; over 20 in each.

 Justin Tuggle - QBOct. 27 - 8:15 pm et
Boston College quarterback Justin Tuggle and running back Josh Haden have decided to transfer.
Both have seen active duty this year but have fallen down the depth chart.

 Rich Gunnell - WROct. 25 - 8:30 am et
In the near upset of Notre Dame it was Boston College receiver Rich Gunnell getting all the looks from quarterback Dave Shinskie. Gunnell caught 10 passes for 179 yards and a touchdwon.
Considering this yardage total nearly matched his current season total (260 yards) you should take a wait-and-see approach with Gunnell.

 Montel Harris - RBOct. 17 - 11:30 pm et
From out of nowhere Boston College running back Montel Harris put up the fantasy game of the year thus far for his position with a 264 yard five touchdown performance.
Harris matched his season touchdown total in a single game, and wrote his name all over the Boston College record book for rushing yards in a game and touchdowns in a game.

 Montel Harris - RBOct. 3 - 10:15 pm et
Sophomore running back Montel Harris literally carried the Boston College Eagles to a pivotal win over Florida State and set a career high rushing total in the process by rushing for 179 yards and two touchdowns.
Montel Harris will face another tough test next week against Virginia Tech, but it's clear the Eagles will have to lean heavily on Harris to open up the passing game for new quarterback starter Dave Shinskie.

 Montel Harris - RBSep. 13 - 7:30 am et
Following a 113 yard two touchdown performance last week, Boston College running back Montel Harris led the Eagles on the ground again against Kent State. Harris carried the ball 19 times for 68 yards and a touchdown.
Montel Harris was in a near even split last year with then fellow freshman Josh Haden, but it appears Harris is separating himself from Haden in the Boston College backfield. Haden finished the contest against Kent State with just 30 yards on eight carries. That being said, you may want to avoid starting Montel Harris next week against a Clemson defense that just shut down Jonathan Dwyer.

 Justin Tuggle - QBSep. 13 - 7:30 am et
Freshman quarterbacks Justin Tuggle and Dave Shinskie took turns under center for Boston College tonight. Both quarterbacks looked impressive in the lopsided 34-7 victory over Kent State. Tuggle finished with 150 yards passing and two touchdowns, while Shinskie threw for 73 yards and a touchdown.
This situation should be monitored but avoided until a definite starter is determined.

 Montel Harris - RBSep. 5 - 6:45 pm et
Sophomore Eagle running back Montel Harris stole the show against Northeastern. Harris rushed for 113 yards and two touchdowns on 15 carries, and caught a six yard pass for a touchdown as well.
Harris owners should still keep an eye on Sophomore running back Josh Haden who was the other half of Boston College's dynamic freshman duo in the backfield last year. Haden received 11 carries, and responded with 45 yards. It will be hard for coach Frank Spaziani to ignore a performance like the one Montel Harris had though.

 Justin Tuggle - QBAug. 30 - 12:15 pm et
The Boston Herald reports that all signs point to young Justin Tuggle starting the opener for Boston College.
Tuggle may start, but BC coach Frank Spaziani has said he'll play two and maybe three quarterbacks.  Dave Shinskie appears to have the lead, but he's dealing with a cracked rib. No matter what fantasy owners should run from the quarterback spot in Chestnut Hill.

 Justin Tuggle - QBAug. 27 - 10:15 am et
Boston College coach Frank Spaziani said that Boston College may play two quarterbacks in the opener against Northeastern on Sept. 5.
With Dave Shinskie suffering from a cracked rib, the duties will likely fall to Justin Tuggle and Codi Boek.

 Rich Gunnell - WRAug. 16 - 4:00 pm et
Boston College has named wide receiver Rich Gunnell one of the team captains for 2009.  A wide receiver has not been a captain for the Eagles since Ray Hilvertin in 1990.
Given Boston College's unsettled quarterback position, it is hard to project Gunnell putting up more than the 49 catches he did in 2008.

 Justin Tuggle - QBAug. 16 - 10:30 am et
Dave Shinskie, Codi Boek, Justin Tuggle and Michael Marscovetra, the four quarterbacks vying for the starting Boston College job, all struggled during the team's first scrimmage.  Coach Frank Spaziani told The Boston Herald, "If you've got four, you don't have any."
We believe that Shinskie has the inside track, though regardless this offense will not be one for fantasy owners to pin their hopes on in 2009.

 Montel Harris - RBAug. 15 - 2:00 pm et
Boston College offensive coordinator Gary Tranquill told The Boston Herald that Josh Haden and Montel Harris will be on the field together at the same time during the season.  Tranquill said, "Both of those guys are good backs, with good speed."
Two young and talented backs like Haden and Harris make it difficult for fantasy owners to pin hopes on the Boston College running game.  Should one emerge then he'll become a factor, as old school Tranquill likes to run the ball and get his backs involved in the passing game.

 Justin Tuggle - QBJun. 3 - 10:30 am et
As the Boston Herald recaps this morning, the departure of Dominique Davis has left the BC quarterback situation in a bit of a mess.
Justin Tuggle and Codi Boek will be the main contenders for the starting job, but this is clearly a position you'll want to avoid on draft day.

 Dominique Davis - QBJun. 2 - 4:15 pm et
Quarterback Dominique Davis, the expected starter at Boston College, will transfer following an academic suspension from the university.
Davis' destination is unknown at this point. The BC quarterback spot is now wide-open, with young Justin Tuggle as the likely starter.
