Tyler Sheehan

Dec. 31 - 1:45 am et
Bowling Green quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 387 yards and four touchdowns in a Humanitarian Bowl defeat to Idaho.
I'll let you guess who caught most of Sheehan's 33 completions. With Sheehan and the unnamed all world wide receiver moving on, the Falcons could look towards running back Willie Geter, who had 96 yards and two scores himself tonight, more next season.

Dec. 31 - 1:45 am et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes caught 17 balls for 219 yards and three scores in a heartbreaking loss to Idaho.
Barnes completes his senior season with 155 catches for 1770 yards and 19 touchdowns. These are numbers which would be a very nice career for many wide receivers.

Bowling Green will face Idaho in the Roady's Humanitarian Bowl in Boise, Idaho on Dec. 30 at 4:30 p.m.
Obviously Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes is the marquee fantasy name in this one. But keep in mind the weather can be nasty in Boise this time of year and Idaho doesn't have too far to travel. Who am I kidding...Barnes will likely be the top rated fantasy receiver for the bowl season. Also, don't forget about Idaho's Max Komar; he's a solid fantasy receiver.

Nov. 27 - 5:45 pm et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes had nine catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns against Toledo.
Modest numbers considering Barnes' weekly potential, but who is complaining? The MAC doesn't have a lot of bowl tie ins, so Barnes and the Falcons may have to keep their fingers crossed in hopes of extending their season. As much as I love writing about this guy, I hope he gets to suit up once more and will be a guaranteed selection on my Bowl Challenge team!

Nov. 27 - 5:45 pm et
Bowling Green running back Willie Geter had 114 yards and three touchdowns in a win over Toledo.
That's an impressive showing on just 16 carries. It was Geter's first game over 100 yards this season. But with QB Tyler Sheehan and his top weapon WR Freddie Barnes leaving, maybe the Falcons will rely on Geter more next year.

Nov. 21 - 12:15 am et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes had 12 catches for 197 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Akron.
I'm running out of superlatives for Barnes, so let's just say he is the best. Barnes now has an insane 129 catches and 14 touchdowns on the season...and has another game remaining! It probably won't help fantasy owners, but I want to thank the MAC for their random week night TV schedule throughout the last few weeks. Its made my job easier, and I was able to watch Mr. Barnes play a few times.

Nov. 12 - 10:30 pm et
Bowling Green quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw three touchdown passes in this evening's win over Miami (OH)
Sheehan only had 199 yards but the scores make up for the lack of yardage. Interestingly, in his previous two contests, Sheehan was over 300 yards but only had one touchdown in each. Maybe less yards equals more TDs for the Bowling Green signal caller. He'll remain a steady play moving forward.

Nov. 12 - 10:30 pm et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes had yet another great evening, catching ten passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns against Miami (OH)
Barnes got the scoring started with a 19 yard rush for a touchdown, and finished with 25 yards rushing on three carries. Just for good measure, Barnes went 1-of-2 passing as well. Barnes is up to 14 touchdowns on the year, and has to be my favorite player to report on. With Toledo and Akron remaining for Bowling Green, Barnes should find the endzone at least a few more times.

Nov. 4 - 2:30 am et
Bowling Green running back Willie Geter could only muster 13 yards on 15 carries, but he did find the end zone twice.
Geter added three receptions for 71 yards. Geter only had one touchdown coming in to the evening, and Bowling Green will remain the Tyler Sheehan - Freddie Barnes show. Geter shouldn't have much value over the rest of the season.

Nov. 4 - 2:30 am et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes brought in eight passes for 122 yards and a game winning touchdown tonight at Buffalo.
In a nationally televised game, Barnes was quiet early, with only four catches for 62 yards through three quarters. But he was at his best when his team needed him late, beating single coverage for an 18 yard go ahead score. Buffalo defended him pretty well most of the night, but how is he single covered with the game on the line? This makes eight touchdowns over the last four games, and I'm willing to bet he gets at least one next week against Miami (OH).

Oct. 25 - 12:30 am et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes did it again, hauling in 14 passes for 172 yards and one touchdown.
I know the MAC isn't known for its defense, but Barnes consistent production is getting ridiculous. Quarterback Tyler Sheehan completed 35 of 55 passes for 341 yards and a score. Bowling Green takes the week off before traveling to Buffalo for a nationally televised game Tuesday, November 3rd. This author can't wait!

Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes picked up where he left off, catching ten passes for 176 yards and three touchdowns against Ball State on Saturday.
Coming off a 22 catch, 278 yard, three score game, Barnes owners are grinning ear to ear. Quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 376 yards, with all his scores going to Barnes. Bowling Green takes on Central Michigan next week.

Oct. 10 - 11:00 pm et
Bowling Green quarterback Tyler Sheehan threw for 505 yards and four scores, and he ran in another for good measure, as the Falcons outscored Kent State.
22 of Sheehan's completions went to Freddie Barnes, making the pair the best single game passing duo this season.

Oct. 10 - 11:00 pm et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes caught an astounding 22 passes for 278 yards and three scores in Saturday's come-from-behind win over Kent State. The effort marks Barnes' fourth double digit reception game of the year.
You'll never see these number in the NFL, which is why we love college fantasy football. Fantasy owners in PPR leagues racked up an eye-popping 67.8 fantasy points this week.

Sep. 20 - 1:15 pm et
Bowling Green senior wideout Freddie Barnes posted his second 100 yard receiving game of the season Saturday against Marshall, grabbing a stunning 17 receptions for 109 yards in a 17-10 road loss.
Barnes' 17 receptions set a single-game school record and leaves the senior with an unbelievable 42 receptions through just three games.

Sep. 4 - 11:30 am et
Bowling Green wide receiver Freddie Barnes caught 15 passes for 157 yards and two scores in the win over Troy on Thursday night.
Looks like Barnes and the BGSU offense have shaken off the 2008 season and are ready to produce again. Barnes and quarterback Tyler Sheehan should be good plays all year.

Aug. 16 - 2:00 pm et
Senior Bowling Green running back Willie Geter had several runs of over 20 yards and looked impressive and fast in a team scrimmage Saturday.
Fellow running back Chris Bullock made some noise this spring, but Geter may end up being the playmaker in the running game.

Apr. 26 - 6:30 pm et
Ray Hutson, wideout for the Bowling Green Falcons, proved an impact player in Saturday's spring game, finishing the day with four catches for 65 yards and two touchdowns.
Hutson, a freshman during the 2008 season, only netted four catches for a combined 16 yards in his first year with the team, but looks to be asserting himself strongly this spring as a go-to receiver in the BGSU passing attack.

Apr. 26 - 2:45 pm et
Bowling Green senior tailback Chris Bullock saw 22 carries go for 88 yards Saturday in the Falcons' spring game. Chris Dunlap added 106 yards and a score on 15 carries.
A physical runner that pounds the ball on the inside, Bullock finished 2008 with 384 yards rushing on 92 attempts, averaging a mere 32 yards per game played last season. Head coach Dave Clawson's offense seems to be emphasizing the run so far this spring, suggesting that Bullock's value as a ball carrier could rise significantly come this fall, however.

Apr. 10 - 9:30 pm et
As new Bowling Green head coach Dave Clawson installs his new scheme, running backs Chris Bullock and Willie Geter are finding themselves carrying the ball much more than they've done in the past.
Quarterback Tyler Sheehan is spending more time under center, and while the increased running emphasis hurts the signal caller's fantasy potential, Bullock and Geter may become factors in deeper leagues.
