 Brandon Thermilus - RBNov. 28 - 10:45 am et
Buffalo running back Brandon Thermilus had 123 yards on 29 carries in a 9-6 win over Kent State.
Thermilus has been good in his final two outings, as the key to the Buffalo running game really seems to be simply getting consistent carries.  Equally as notable is the fact there were zero touchdowns in this contest.  Let me remind you these two teams are in the MAC.  MAC and no touchdowns and usually not uttered in the same sentence.

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRNov. 24 - 10:00 pm et
Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt will have surgery on his right knee to repair a tear in his meniscus.  Roosevelt will miss Friday night's game against Kent State.
Roosevelt will finish his career with 268 receptions, 3551 yards and 28 touchdowns.

 Brandon Thermilus - RBNov. 18 - 10:30 pm et
Buffalo running back Brandon Thermilus carried 11 times for 126 yards and two touchdowns against Miami (OH.)
Thermilus also caught a pass and took it 29 yards for a score.  Anyone remember way back when James Starks was lost for the season and Thermilus was the hot pick up?  This might have been why.  It's a shame tonight's performance probably didn't matter to most fantasy owners, as it's hard to imagine even the most patient manager waiting 'till playoff time for a breakout like this.  Thermilus is a junior, so maybe a little more consistency awaits in 2010.

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRNov. 18 - 5:30 pm et
Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt will miss Wednesday night's game with a knee injury.  As we mentioned last week, Roosevelt was hurt during his three touchdown performance against Ohio.
With Roosevelt out, there is all the more reason to take a gamble on Ike Nduka (ankle) if you are desperate for running back production.

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRNov. 11 - 9:00 am et
Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt caught eight passes for 165 yards and three touchdowns in tonight's loss to Ohio before leaving the field in the final minutes.
After watching his teammates drop consecutive passes, Roosevelt went over the middle on a 4th and 3 to haul in a drive saving pass.  He was met immediately by an Ohio linebacker, and momentarily struggled off the field.  He didnt return as the drive ended following yet another bobbled pass that was intercepted, securing a Bobcat victory.  Roosevelt is clearly the only WR at Buffalo who can catch a pass, so we'll let you know if this situation is anything to be concerned about before next week's matchup with Miaimi (OH.)

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRNov. 4 - 2:30 am et
Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt was nearly invisible against Bowling Green, grabbing just two balls for 21 yards.
Chalk it up to a bad game.  The running game was working for the Bulls, and quarterback Zach Maynard wasn't sharp.  Next week's matchup with Ohio isn't the best, but Roosevelt has to be better.

 Brandon Thermilus - RBNov. 2 - 7:00 pm et
Buffalo running backs Ike Nduka, Brandon Thermilus and Mario Henry are all listed as questionable for Tuesday's clash with Bowling Green.
The Bulls running back situation is one for owners to avoid.

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRSep. 27 - 7:30 pm et
Buffalo wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt caught nine passes for 120 yards in a 37-13 road loss to the Temple Owls.
This is the second time in four games that Roosevelt has broken 100+ yards receiving in a single game, while he continues to average an impressive 15.3 yards per catch on the season.

 Brett Hamlin - WRSep. 12 - 6:15 pm et
Naaman Roosevelt of the Buffalo Bulls wasn't the only wide receiver to see big numbers Saturday in a home loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers, with senior wideout Brett Hamlin also grabbing a stunning 12 receptions for 149 yards on the day.
Roosevelt was the logical pick for most fantasy owners heading into the 2009 season, yet Turner Gill had a lot positive to say about Hamlin in preseason camp.  Expect that Roosevelt will continue to be Buffalo's #1 receiver as the season progresses, but don't be surprised if Hamlin pans out as a productive free agent acquisition from this point forward.

 Naaman Roosevelt - WRSep. 12 - 6:15 pm et
Naaman Roosevelt, senior wideout for the Buffalo Bulls, continued a string of outstanding performances Saturday, taking six catches for 179 yards and two touchdowns in a 54-27 home loss to Pittsburgh.
Over two games, Roosevelt's accumulated 11 receptions, 248 yards and three touchdowns, and these against tougher defensive units like Pittsburgh.   Expect he'll only continue to put up impressive numbers like these in the foreseeable future, particularly as Buffalo enters into the "soft" part of its schedule starting next week against UCF.

 James Starks - RBAug. 25 - 2:00 pm et
The University of Buffalo announced James Starks has a torn labrum that will require immediate surgery and eliminate his last year of eligibility.
This is some of the biggest news to come from the lower conferences in a while. The Bulls will likely turn to Brandon Thermilus or Mario Henry for their running game needs. We think Thermilus is an excellent target for fantasy owners at this point.

 James Starks - RBMar. 20 - 11:00 am et
Buffalo senior running back James Starks will not partake in spring drills while he heals up some nagging injuries.
This is simply precautionary; the 2009 Buffalo offense will once again be built around Starks. Coming off a 17-score 2008 coach Turner Gill wants to be certain Starks is good to go when it matters. Starks is a top ten national back.

 Drew Willy - QBFeb. 2 - 12:45 pm et
Buffalo coach Turner Gill has handed over play calling duties to assistant head coach Danny Barrett.
The play calling will likely involve calling James Starks' name a great deal.

 James Starks - RBDec. 16 - 8:30 pm et
Turner Gill signed a multi-year contract extension which will keep the head coach at Buffalo for at least one more year.
Gill interviewed for both the Syracuse and Auburn jobs and the new extension takes him out of consideration for the Iowa State job. If Gill has another successful season in 2009, look for Gill to be a hot coaching candidate next year.

 James Starks - RBNov. 28 - 7:00 pm et
Buffalo junior running back James Starks ran for 136 yards and a score as his Bulls came up short against Kent State.
Starks, one of the nation's most productive backs, ends his regular season campaign with over 1500 yards from scrimmage and 15 scores on the season.
 James Starks - RBNov. 14 - 11:45 am et
Buffalo running back James Starks rushed for 151 yards and three touchdowns in an overtime win over Akron Thursday night. Starks also added 90 yards receiving.
Fantasy owners love to see overtime and both Starks and Akron running back Dennis Kennedy were able to pile on yards and add an additional score in the extra time.
 James Starks - RBNov. 5 - 2:45 pm et
Buffalo running back James Starks rushed for 177 and two scores, including a 62-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter Tuesday night against Miami (Ohio).
Starks is an excellent fantasy option with games against Akron, Bowling Green and Kent State remaining.
 James Starks - RBNov. 4 - 11:00 am et
Buffalo running back James Starks kicks off week 11 college fantasy football action Tuesday night when the Bulls take on Miami (Ohio).
The Redhawks defense is giving 173.3 yards per game rushing, making Starks a top 20 fantasy back this week.
 James Starks - RBOct. 28 - 10:30 pm et
Buffalo running back James Starks returned from his battle with turf toe, rushing for 185 yards and two scores in Thursday's win over Ohio.
When healthy Starks is an excellent fantasy option. And right now he appears healthy.
