 Max Hall - QBFeb. 6 - 4:15 pm et
ESPN's Graham Watson poses the question about incoming recruit Jake Heaps: will take his Mormon mission and if so, will it impact his chances of winning the starting job this fall?  “A long time ago at BYU, quarterbacks wouldn’t go on missions for that very reason,” coach Bronco Mendenhall said. “I’m not sure whether Jake is planning to go or not, we haven’t had that conversation.”
Ms. Watson brings up an excellent point, but you can still expect Heaps to make our Top 10 impact quarterback recruits that should be complete soon.

 Harvey Unga - RBJan. 16 - 12:00 am et
Brigham Young running back Harvey Unga will return for his senior season rather than enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
Unga, who has been a factor since he first set foot on campus, will look to join an elite group of backs that have gained over 1,000 in four different collegiate seasons.

 Harvey Unga - RBJan. 13 - 8:15 am et
"I am not sure yet. I’ll most likely meet with (coach Bronco Mendenhall) when he gets back and talk to him," BYU running back Harvey Unga told Salt Lake Tribune beat writer Jay Drew when asked if he was coming back for his senior year.
Unga posted his third consecutive 1000-yard season in 2009.  He's a load to bring down, whether he's running against college of NFL defenders.

 Harvey Unga - RBJan. 6 - 11:00 pm et
Dick Harmon reports that BYU running back Harvey Unga is leaning towards going pro, though the junior remains enrolled in classes while he awaits his grade from the NFL Advisory Board.

 Harvey Unga - RBDec. 19 - 1:15 am et
BYU junior running back Harvey Unga is still not sure whether he'll return to school or enter the NFL draft, telling The Salt Lake Tribune that he "honestly doesn't know" and that he's yet to fill out the paperwork to have his draft status evaluated.
At this point fantasy owners will have to wait and see, as it sounds like Unga is going to take his time and make his decision when the smoke from the season clears.

 Max Hall - QBDec. 7 - 11:00 am et
Oregon State and BYU will play in the MAACO Las Vegas Bowl on Dec. 22 at 8 p.m.
This will be BYU's fifth straight appearance in the Las Vegas Bowl.  The Cougars are 2-2 during that stretch.  The Cougars defense will need to find a way to slow down running back Jacquizz Rodgers and James Rodgers to add another win to that record.  On the flip side the Beavers defense has given up yards through the air.  With Max Hall at quarterback, this is setting up to be a game fantasy owners will want to tune in for.

 Max Hall - QBNov. 30 - 8:15 pm et
The Mountain West Conference has issued a public reprimand to BYU quarterback Max Hall for his anti-Utah comments last Saturday.  Hall has already apologized for his rant.
A public reprimand is about the equivalent to a "tisk tisk" so in others words, Hall won't actually be punished.

 Max Hall - QBNov. 29 - 5:00 pm et
BYU quarterback Max Hall went off on everything Utah in his post game press conference following BYU's win over the Utes.  "I don't like Utah. In fact, I hate them. I hate everything about them. I hate their program, I hate their fans, I hate everything,"  Hall said. "I think the whole university, their fans, and their organization is classless. They threw beer on my family and stuff last year, and they did a whole bunch of nasty things, and I don't respect them, and they deserve to lose."
Hall was obviously coming off an emotionally charged situation, throwing the game winning touchdown in overtime, and had some lingering frustrations he wanted to get off his chest.

 Harvey Unga - RBNov. 29 - 4:30 pm et
BYU running back Harvey Unga rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries in Saturday's 26-23 overtime victory over Utah.

 Dennis Pitta - TENov. 25 - 8:15 pm et
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that BYU tight end Dennis Pitta, who played with an injured knee against Utah last year, is fired up about facing the in-state rival when he's 100%.
Pitta's 54 catches for 735 yards and seven scores is second only to Dennis Morris in 2009 tight end production.

 Harvey Unga - RBNov. 21 - 12:15 am et
BYU running back Harvey Unga is still struggling with an ankle injury and will be a game-time decision this week against Air Force.
Unga was limited to just 50 yards on 11 carries last week against New Mexico, and Air Force posseses a good defense.  Look elsewhere for running back production this week.

 Harvey Unga - RBNov. 10 - 8:30 pm et
BYU running back Harvey Unga tweaked his ankle last week against Wyoming, but the injury is not considered serious.  Harvey sat out most of the second half with the game well in hand.
Unga should play this week against UNLV, but the injury could slow the big fella down a little bit.

 Harvey Unga - RBNov. 5 - 8:30 pm et
The Salt Lake Tribune reports that BYU running back Harvey Unga is the most likely candidate to leave school early, though the junior back says he is focused solely on the final four games of the season.
It's November, so it must mean time to speculate on possible early entries to the NFL Draft. It sounds like Unga is certainly going to weigh all of his options, so his keeper league owners will just have to sit back and wait.

BYU is expecting to get wide receiver McKay Jacobson (hamstring) back for this week's game with Wyoming.

Wide receiver McKay Jacobson (hamstring) is expected to return for BYU's next game on Nov.7 against Wyoming.
Jacobson started the year off with three straight games with a touchdown, but has missed the last four due to the injury.  He's worth a pickup for the stretch run.

 O'Neill Chambers - WROct. 21 - 7:45 pm et
BYU wide receiver O'Neill Chambers missed practice on Tuesday due to the flu.
With Chambers and McKay Jacobson (hamstring) not 100 percent, this doesn't bode well for quarterback Max Hall.

 McKay Jacobson - WROct. 21 - 7:30 pm et
BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall said he will decide on Thursday whether or not wide receiver McKay Jacobson (hamstring) will play against TCU this week.  "McKay is still possible, is what I would say," Mendenhall said. "Possible to doubtful."
Given the injury and the opponent, you should avoid Jacobson this week.

BYU quarterback Max Hall threw for 346 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 47 yards and a score in Saturday's win over San Diego State. His running touchdown came as time expired in the first half and has been mentioned as the play of the game.
