 Thaddeus Lewis - QBOct. 25 - 8:30 am et
For the third consecutive game Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis has thrown the ball more than 40 times and for the third consecutive game he's thrown for more than 300 yards. Thaddeus Lewis led the Blue Devils to an upset win over Maryland, completing 30-of-43 for 371 yards and two touchdowns.
Lewis' three game total since entering ACC play is 1189 yards passing with nine touchdowns.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBOct. 11 - 11:00 am et
Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis was a one man wrecking crew as the Blue Devils pulled a surprise 49-28 win over NC State. Lewis completed 40 of his 50 passes for 459 yards and five touchdowns while also adding eight yards rushing and another touchdown.
It's been difficult to know what to expect from the senior Lewis with poor outings in games he should blow up in like North Carolina Central, and Sean Renfree stealing snaps at times. However, a fantasy outing such as this is tough to ignore.

The good news is Duke threw the ball 50 times against Kansas and completed 30 of those passes for 299 yards and a touchdown. The bad news is these were not all Thaddeus Lewis thrown balls and it appears the dreaded quarterback rotation is in effect. Thaddeus Lewis finished the game with 184 yards and two interceptions, while Sean Renfree tallied 115 yards and a touchdown.
It appeared in the preseason that things may change for the Duke offense this season, but we would advise avoiding any of the Blue Devils as a fantasy option.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBSep. 13 - 7:45 pm et
Duke head coach David Cutcliffe said Thaddeus Lewis will start at quarterback against Kansas next Saturday.
Lewis was replaced by Sean Renfree in last week's win over Army.  Renfree could see playing time again next week.

In an embarrassing loss to Richmond, where Duke only managed 19 yards rushing as a team, senior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis managed to shine. Lewis threw the ball a whopping 55 times, completing 33 of those passes for 350 yards and two touchdowns.
It does not appear that Duke will have much of a ground game, but Lewis owners have to be excited about Cutcliffe giving him the "fire at will" command.

 Re'quan Boyette - RBSep. 2 - 9:45 pm et
Second time senior Re'quan Boyette has returned and assumed the starting running back role for the Blue Devils after missing the 2008 season with a knee injury. Boyette beat out 2008 starter Jay Hollingsworth.
Although Duke players are not typically looked to for consistent fantasy production one can't help but wonder if second year head coach David Cutcliffe can improve on Duke's four wins in 2008, and improve the offensive production in the process. Keep an eye on highly touted freshman running back Desmond Scott in the backfield.

 Zack Asack - QBMay. 30 - 3:00 pm et
Duke coach David Cutcliffe has kicked Zack Asack off the football team for an undisclosed violation of team policy.
Asack, a former quarterback, had recently been moved to safety.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBApr. 19 - 11:45 am et
Most everyone at Duke's Saturday spring game left talking about the premiere of redshirt freshman Sean Renfree at quarterback, but senior Thaddeus Lewis was statistically as impressive, finishing the day 17-of-23 for 257 yards. He also ended up with a touchdown on a one yard run early in the first period.
Those who assume that the highly-regarded Renfree has a lock on the starting quarterback role would be quick to remember that Lewis put together an impressive sophomore season (2430 yards passing, 21 touchdowns, 10 interceptions) before coming in last year and playing solidly in all but two games in which he was injured.

 Sean Renfree - QBApr. 19 - 11:30 am et
Duke redshirt freshman quarterback Sean Renfree looked fantastic in Saturday's spring game, throwing for 210 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-17 win for his White Team.
One of the most celebrated recruits out of David Cutcliffe's first recruiting class in 2008, the buzz surrounding the former Parade All-American appears to be real. Having used his redshirt year to learn Cutcliffe's system, Renfree is definitely one to watch out of the ACC and could be to Duke in 2010 what Russell Wilson was to NC State last season.

 Re'quan Boyette - RBApr. 17 - 12:15 pm et
After a 2008 season lost to knee surgery, Duke senior running back Re'quan Boyette has impressed all during spring practice.
It looks like Boyette will share duties with young Jay Hollingsworth, who stepped in during Boyette's absence last season. While split carries should be expected in 2009 each back appears to have blowup potential on a weekly basis.

 Zack Asack - QBMar. 17 - 11:45 pm et
Duke's Zach Asack will move to safety for his final year.
Asack has had his ups and downs while at Duke. He started at quarterback his freshman year but was later suspended for plagiarism.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBDec. 23 - 11:00 am et
Duke coach David Cutcliffe has been given a contract extension through 2015.
The Duke offense may become a place for fantasy owners to look. Those in keeper leagues will want to keep an eye on quarterbacks that decide to head to Durham as the head coach will likely have them producing fantasy-worthy numbers.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBNov. 25 - 9:00 pm et
Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis (sprained foot) will play against North Carolina this weekend.
Though Lewis will play, there is no guarantee he'll start or play the whole game. Lewis missed last week's tough loss to Virginia Tech, and he'll not take full practice reps this week. Last week's starter, Zack Asack, will take controls should Lewis' foot continue to cause problems.

 Clifford Harris - RBNov. 17 - 5:15 pm et
Duke's leading rusher, Clifford Harris, broke his arm against Clemson on Saturday.
With Harris out and quarterback Thaddeus Lewis questionable, the Virginia Tech defense is looking like a good fantasy start this Saturday.

Duke quarterback Thaddeus Lewis does not have any broken bones in his left foot. Lewis limped off the field in the second quarter last week against Clemson and did not return.
Lewis will be evaluated later in the week and should be considered questionable against Virginia Tech. Zack Asack will start if Lewis is unable to play.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBNov. 15 - 7:30 pm et
Perhaps the surprise of the conference thus far this season has been junior quarterback Thaddeus Lewis, who is leading the ACC in passing yards per game coming into today's contest against Clemson. However, Lewis lasted only two offensive series in the game before leaving the game hobbling, and he did not return.
There has been no word released yet on the extent of Thaddeus Lewis' injury.

 Re'quan Boyette - RBOct. 30 - 12:30 am et
Duke running back Re'quan Boyette (knee surgery) has been officially ruled out for the 2008 season. Boyette has not played since injuring himself in practice in August.

 Eron Riley - WROct. 2 - 5:45 pm et
Duke wide receiver Eron Riley (injured hand) is questionable for this Saturday's game with Georgia Tech.
This is a huge game for the Blue Devils, and if I had to venture a guess then I'd say Riley plays.

 Thaddeus Lewis - QBSep. 13 - 4:45 pm et
HC David Cuttcliffe shows his offensive genius once again turning a stagnant Duke offense into a potential contender. It helps to have a talent like Thaddeus Lewis under center. Lewis had a monster day against the Navy defense throwing for 317 yards and three scores while also doing his best impression of a Navy QB and running 12 times for 43 yards.
As a side note, all five of Lewis' passing TD's have gone to wide reciever Eron Riley who is also having a great year. Riley has 232 yards and five scores on the season.
