 Kyle McMahon - QBNov. 1 - 12:15 am et
Eastern Michigan quarterback Kyle McMahon completed eight of 15 passes for 186 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Arkansas.
It's been a dismal year for the Eagles in the MAC, but any QB that can complete eight passes for three touchdowns is worth watching in a conference that isn't big on tackling.

 Andy Schmitt - QBSep. 28 - 11:15 am et
Eastern Michigan quarterback Andy Schmitt is out for the year with a torn ACL in his right knee.
The most likely replacement is Kyle McMahon.  Ultimately this should signal more carries for Dwayne Priest, Terrence Blevins and the surprising EMU ground game.

 Andy Schmitt - QBSep. 19 - 5:00 pm et
Senior quarterback for the Eastern Michigan Eagles, Andy Schmitt, appears to have injured his right knee in today's 45-17  road loss to Michigan, leaving the game in the fourth quarter.
Prior to exiting the contest, Schmitt had gone 13 of 22 passing for 97 yards and an interception, while also taking five carries for 27 yards and a score.  Look for the Eagles to turn to true freshman Alex Gillett under center depending on the seriousness of Schmitt's injury.

 Dwayne Priest - RBSep. 19 - 4:45 pm et
Junior running back for the Eastern Michigan Eagles, Dwayne Priest, had a solid outing Saturday against Michigan, taking 27 carries for 91 yards and a touchdown in a 45-17 loss to Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Priest only averaged 3.4 yards a carry against the Wolverines, but did well overall considering he was facing a far superior BCS conference defense on the road.

 Dwayne Priest - RBSep. 12 - 7:15 pm et
Dwayne Priest, junior tailback for the Eastern Michigan Eagles, carried the ball 17 times for 127 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's close loss on the road to the Northwestern Wildcats.
Priest was the only running back with more than two carries against Army in Week One, and, following his performance against Northwestern Saturday, now appears firmly entrenched as a starter in the EMU backfield.  Watch for the junior to become a solid play at tailback as conference games approach, but be cautious with the Eagles traveling to Michigan in  week three.

 Andy Schmitt - QBApr. 21 - 12:45 pm et
New Eastern Michigan head coach Ron English didn't single out any players at the conclusion of spring practice in Ypsilanti, but he did say that he feels the offensive line will be the team's strength.
This is good news for owners of quarterback Andy Schmitt, a rising senior who has posted some monster games in the past. English is an old-school coach but he may be forced to let Schmitt wing it a bunch in order to compete this season. And a solid offensive line could see Schmitt really improve on his 20 scores of a season ago.

 Andy Schmitt - QBDec. 23 - 11:00 am et
Reports are emerging that Eastern Michigan has hired Louisville defensive coordinator Ron English as head coach.
English will become the fifth African-American head coach in major college football. He'll have a familiarity with the area as he served for five years on Lloyd Carr's staff while a defensive coach at Michigan.

 Andy Schmitt - QBNov. 28 - 7:00 pm et
Eastern Michigan quarterback Andy Schmitt was tremendous, throwing for 516 yards and five scores, while running in another score for good measure.
Schmitt's six scores led to Eastern's upset over in-state rival Central Michigan. Schmitt threw an amazing 80 passes on the day, completing a robust 58.
 Andy Schmitt - QBNov. 24 - 3:41 pm et
Eastern Michigan has fired coach Jeff Genyk after Genyk could only muster a 15-42 record in five seasons at the helm.
Former Michigan coach Lloyd Carr will aid the Eagles in their search for a replacement. Eastern Michigan has not had many fantasy worthy players of late, and rebuilding with a new head coach will likely see this trend continue.

 Andy Schmitt - QBOct. 30 - 2:45 pm et
Eastern Michigan quarterback Andy Schmitt is still dealing with knee and shoulder injures. Schmitt will start this week against Western Michigan.
Schmitt is an interesting fantasy prospect when healthy and the matchup is right. That is not the case this week.

 Andy Schmitt - QBSep. 25 - 12:00 pm et
Eastern Michigan starting quarterback Andy Schmitt is expected to miss his second straight game against Northern Illinois.
Kyle McMahon will get his second straight start. McMahon had a solid outing against a BCS foe in Maryland last week. McMahon was 25-of-37 for 278 yards, two picks and two scores. Maybe not a bad little option against Northern Illinois this Saturday.

 Andy Schmitt - QBJul. 1 - 9:00 pm et
Eastern Michigan's Andy Schmitt is our 76th rated fantasy quarterback for the 2008 season.
Schmitt cranked out four touchdown games on four separate occasions in 2007. If you can find the magic formula to catch this lightning in a bottle, you might have yourself a fine back-up. You can start by eliminating tilts against Michigan State and Maryland and focus in on the MAC schedule and possibly even Indiana State.
 Pierre Walker - RBNov. 10 - 7:13 pm et
Pierre Walker rushed 31 times for 155 yards and score against Bowling Green on Friday night.
Walker has been on a mini-terror with four scores in the last two weeks. Walker and EMU have Central Michigan up next. As mentioned earlier in the week, Walker appears to be an excellent sleeper running back.
 Pierre Walker - RBNov. 3 - 11:21 pm et
Pierre Walker rushed for 93 yards and three scores in the 28-52 loss to Toledo.
Walker's three touchdowns doubles his season total and six on the year.
 Eric Deslauriers - WRAug. 31 - 11:39 pm et
Eric Deslauriers made 10 catches for 129 yards and a touchdown in Thursday's loss to Ball State.
Deslauriers, who was a first round pick in the CFL draft this year, is a stud! We recommend him in all fantasy leagues.
 Tyler Jones - QBAug. 31 - 11:36 pm et
Quarterback Tyler Jones carried the ball 22 times for 163 yards and a touchdown in EMU's loss to Ball State on Thursday.
Jones also threw for 148 yards and a touchdown in the game. We doubt that Jones will carry the ball 22 times a game ever again in his career, but this is a fantastic game for the sophomore QB.
