 Paul McCall - QBNov. 19 - 12:45 pm et
FIU coach Mario Cristobal says that both Paul McCall and Wayne Younger could play at quarterback this week against Florida.
Regardless of who plays quarterback, this is a great spot to play the Gators defense.

 Paul McCall - QBNov. 12 - 11:15 am et
Florida International quarterback Paul McCall (elbow) returned to practice this week, though from coach Mario Cristobal's comments, it sounds like both McCall and Wayne Younger could see snaps against Louisiana-Lafayette.
The likelihood of split snaps should signal a situation for fantasy owners to avoid.

 Paul McCall - QBNov. 10 - 8:15 pm et
Wayne Younger could get the start at quarterback for FIU as starter Paul McCall (elbow) is questionable to play.
With a messy quarterback position, you could see the Panthers lean more on emerging running back Kendall Berry.  Berry rushed for 103 yards and three scores on 19 carries last week and took some direct snaps.

 Paul McCall - QBNov. 8 - 10:00 pm et
Florida International quarterback Paul McCall missed Saturday's game with a hyper-extended elbow suffered in week nine against Middle Tennessee. He's deemed "day-to-day" by coach Mario Cristobal.
Wayne Younger will start again if McCall cannot go. Neither is much of a fantasy option.

 Greg Ellingson - WRNov. 5 - 9:30 pm et
The Miami Herald reports that Florida International wide receiver Greg Ellingson is doing some extra running in hopes of earning back his starting spot.
Ellingson did catch a touchdown last week, and he did go for 5-132-1 a few weeks back against Western Kentucky. He's worth a shot in very deep leagues.

 Kendall Berry - WROct. 29 - 2:00 pm et
Florida International running back Kendall Berry is expected to see more carries this week against Louisiana-Lafayette.
When you're filling out your fantasy lineup, you don't think of FIU tailbacks.  Hold off for now.

 Greg Ellingson - WROct. 21 - 7:30 pm et
Florida International wide receiver Greg Ellingson did some jogging at practice on Tuesday but did not participate in contact drills.
Ellingson, who suffered a bone bruise in his right leg last week against Troy, is the team's second leading receiver (behind T.Y. Hilton) with 23 catches for 369 yards and three scores.

 Paul McCall - QBSep. 22 - 11:30 am et
Florida International coach Mario Cristobal says that starting quarterback Paul McCall is just fine.  McCall missed two series in the second quarter last week against Rutgers, but finished the game.
McCall is not much of a fantasy option.  But his health will directly impact the production of  wide receiver T.Y. Hilton.

 Eric Kirchenberg - TESep. 3 - 10:45 am et
Florida International starting tight end Eric Kirchenberg missed practice on Wednesday, but is expected back on Thursday.
Kirchenberg is not much of a fantasy threat, unless you are in a State of Florida players-only league.

 Dustin Rivest - KAug. 25 - 11:15 am et
Florida International coach Mario Cristobal told The Miami Herald that kicker Dustin Rivest "is slightly leading in the field goals, but not by much" as Rivest battles freshman Jack Griffin for the starting job.
It sounds like Griffin may emerge as the kickoff specialist while Rivest pounds them through the uprights.

 Greg Ellingson - WRAug. 11 - 12:30 pm et
Florida International starting wide receiver Greg Ellingson is expected to practice today after missing the first couple of days awaiting clearance that coach Mario Cristobal said was not related to academics.
Sounds like some kind of red tape issue, and Ellingson should be good to go.

 Paul McCall - QBAug. 10 - 9:15 pm et
The Miami Herald reports that Florida International has significantly improved its team speed, thus quarterback Paul McCall will have more than just T.Y. Hilton to throw to in 2009.
McCall looks to have many more targets at his disposal in addition to more plays, and more options in the playbook can only help the FIU signal caller meet expectations in 2009.

 Colt Anderson - QBAug. 10 - 10:00 am et
Florida International has moved some players around, specifically receiver Kendall Berry has moved to running back, and quarterback Colt Anderson has been moved to tight end.
We don't have huge fantasy seasons in mind for either player, but one never knows.

 Paul McCall - QBMar. 13 - 3:00 pm et
FIU coach Mario Cristobal wants to see quarterback Paul McCall boost his completion to "60 to 66 percent". Cristobal's and the Golden Panthers' focus this spring will be on improving the passing game.
McCall was a blip on the fantasy radar in 2008. There are a couple of interesting nuggets for one to note: McCall did have two games where he threw for four TDs. He had five games with over 30 pass attempts. He also has the talented T.Y. Hilton to throw to in 2009. With a year under his belt he could become a good situational backup for fantasy owners.

 Trenard Turner - RBMar. 4 - 12:15 pm et
Florida International running back Trenard Turner will miss time this spring as he deals with a knee injury.
Turner is hoping to see significant carries this season, though he may have to wait until fall camp to truly show what he can do.

 Daunte Owens - RBMar. 4 - 12:15 pm et
Florida International running back Daunte Owens will be limited in spring practice due to a foot injury.
Owens will be vying for carries in 2009 following a 29-130-1 season.

 Julian Reams - RBNov. 28 - 12:00 pm et
Florida International's leading rusher Julian Reams is expected to play this Saturday against Florida Atlantic despite a mild shoulder strain.
Reams should see a fairly steady workload against the Owls, but he is not a great fantasy start unless you are desperate for options.
