 Taiwan Easterling - WRJan. 20 - 12:15 am et
Florida State wide receiver Taiwan Easterling is working out with the Seminole baseball team, and he, along with DT Jacob McDowell, could be lacing up the cleats this spring.
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Easterling was quite the high school ballplayer, though his fun on the diamond could cut into his football workouts this off-season.

 E.J. Manuel - QBJan. 3 - 11:00 am et
Florida State redshirt freshman E.J. Manuel was impressive in the team's Gator Bowl win, as he completed 17 of 24 passes for 189 yards. He also ran for 69 yards and a score.
Manuel and Christian Ponder will battle this off-season to win the starting job for Jimbo Fisher.

 Richard Goodman - WRDec. 28 - 3:30 pm et
Florida State wide receiver Richard Goodman's groin is about "80 and 85 percent" healthy, but he is still questionable for the Gator Bowl against West Virginia.
Goodman has missed the last seven games and even if he is cleared, he's going to be rusty.  He's not a good fantasy option.

 E.J. Manuel - QBDec. 21 - 7:15 pm et
Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel welcomed the time off between the end of the season and the start of bowl practices as it gave him time to rest his fatigued shoulder.   "I was throwing the ball a lot more," Manuel said of his increased workload.  " Maybe 100 times a day."
Manuel started the last three games in relief of the injured Christian Ponder (knee).   He's shown some spurts, but also his youth.  Manuel is loaded with talent, and it will be interesting to see how he performs against West Virginia in the Gator Bowl with extra time to prepare and heal.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 30 - 3:30 pm et
An announcement regarding the future of Florida State coach Bobby Bowden is set to come on Tuesday.  Bowden met with President T.K. Wetherell and athletic director Randy Spetman, but no indication has been given on how the meeting went
Bowden said earlier that he wishes to remain as the coach for the 2010 season.  After finishing the regular season 6-6, that may not be in the cards.  Offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher has already been picked as Bowden's eventual successor.

 Richard Goodman - WRNov. 30 - 8:45 am et
The Orlando Sentinel reports that Florida State expects to get wide receiver Richard Goodman (groin) back for the bowl game, wherever and whenever it may be.
Goodman hasn't played in a long time, so it's hard to envision any fantasy impact from the Noles wide receiver.

 E.J. Manuel - QBNov. 21 - 11:15 pm et
After last week's impressive freshman debut, Florida State quarterback E.J. Manuel was brought back down to Earth against Maryland, throwing for 206 yards and three interceptions.
To offer some encouragement Manuel also rushed six times for 49 yards, and looks as if he will be a solid dual-threat quarterback once he gets the jitters out going into 2010.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 20 - 5:30 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder underwent "successful surgery" on his shoulder, and he's expected to see limited action in spring practice.

 Jermaine Thomas - RBNov. 15 - 8:00 am et
Florida State running back Jermaine Thomas has been on  fire as of late, racking up his third consecutive 100-yard plus performance. Thomas ran for 149 yards and a score against Wake Forest.
Thomas has tallied 454 yards and four touchdowns in the last three games, and gets Maryland's 68th ranked rushing defense next.

 E.J. Manuel - QBNov. 15 - 8:00 am et
Filling in for the injured Christian Ponder, Florida State's redshirt freshman phenom quarterback E.J. Manuel was rather impressive in his season debut. Manuel completed 15-of-20 passes for 220 yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Manuel also added 45 yards rushing and a score.
This was an impressive coming out party for E.J. Manuel, who could possibly be given some thought in keeper leagues.

 E.J. Manuel - QBNov. 13 - 7:45 pm et
"As we started doing things more and more, and he got more reps and things, I think he did [become more confident]," Florida State offensive coordinator Jimbo Fisher said of his new starting quarterback E.J. Manuel.
Fisher said there will be little change in the FSU offense with Manuel at the helm.  Manuel was a highly touted recruit in 2008 and we are excited to see what the young kid can do this week against Wake Forest.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 9 - 9:15 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder will miss the rest of the season due to a shoulder injury suffered against Clemson.
Redshirt freshman E.J. Manuel will take over for Ponder, and he'll have some big shoes to fill. Ponder had posted 16 touchdowns on the season, and the junior will now have to ponder whether he'll return to Tallahassee or test the NFL waters.

 E.J. Manuel - QBNov. 8 - 10:00 pm et
Florida State will start redshirt freshman E.J. Manuel at quarterback on Saturday against Wake Forest. He'll replace Christian Ponder, who'll miss this game and maybe more due to a separated shoulder.
The loss of Ponder is a big blow for the Noles; while Manuel brings a great deal of potential, he is an inexperienced signal caller.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 8 - 1:45 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder separated his right (throwing) shoulder trying to make a tackle on Clemson safety DeAndre McDaniel following an interception.
It is unknown how long Ponder will be out, but there is a possibility that Ponder could be miss the Seminoles' remaining three regular season games.  E.J. Manuel will take over at quarterback if Ponder is unable to play.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 6 - 9:15 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder says he will take a look at his NFL options at the end of the season.  "Obviously after the season, I’ll take an evaluation (from the NFL) and see what happens and make a decision after that,’’ Ponder said. “I see myself playing here (Florida State) next year, but we’ll see what they say and what happens. There’s a chance of either way.’’
Ponder has had a great year and if can parlay that into a high NFL draft grade, all the power to him.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 5 - 2:00 am et
While redshirt freshman E.J. Manuel has taken snaps in practice this week, Tampa Bay Online reports Florida State coach Bobby Bowden is confident that Christian Ponder (bruised ribs) will start against Clemson.
Provided the news remains relatively positive over the next couple of days it does appear safe to start Ponder.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 2 - 7:00 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder said on Sunday that his bruised ribs from Saturday's win over North Carolina State were already feeling better.
Good news, and it appears like Ponder will be a likely go against Clemson on Saturday.

 Christian Ponder - QBNov. 1 - 8:15 pm et
Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder could miss next week's game with Clemson because of sore ribs. Ponder took a shot early in the shootout win over North Carolina State, but he remained in the contest.
Ponder has been a feast or famine fantasy producer for much of the season, though his absence would be a huge blow to the Noles' attack.

 Rod Owens - WROct. 23 - 8:15 am et
Coming into the Thursday night game against North Carolina, senior Florida State receiver Rod Owens had only totaled 20 receptions for 199 yards and a touchdown on the season. Against the Tar Heels, however, he caught nine balls for 199 yards which included a 98-yard touchdown.
Christian Ponder's pass attempts per game continue to rise, so if "Hot" Rod Owens is going to be the first place Ponder looks when he drops back, then he may be worth a look.

 Christian Ponder - QBOct. 23 - 8:15 am et
A late fourth quarter touchdown to tight end Beau Reliford topped off a career night for Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder. Ponder completed 33-of-40 passes for 395 yards and three touchdowns against the #1 ranked passing defense in the nation, the North Carolina Tar Heels.
This is Ponder's third consecutive game passing for more than 300 yards, and he has slung the rock for 754 yards and eight touchdowns in just the last two. With NC State, Maryland and Wake Forest on the schedule to end the season, Ponder could be worth an add to help you down the stretch.
