 James Cleveland - WRJan. 27 - 3:15 pm et

 Jewel Hampton - RBJan. 21 - 11:00 am et
Iowa running back Josh Brown and defensive back David Cato have decided to transfer.
After being dangerously thin at running back last year the Hawkeyes will have a logjam in 2010 with the return of Jewel Hampton (knee) and Jeff Brinson (ankle).

 Jewel Hampton - RBJan. 19 - 9:00 am et
After losing Jewel Hampton (knee surgery) and Jeff Brinson (ankle surgery), the Hawkeyes began the season dangerously thin at running back.  Hampton and Brinson will look to compete with Adam Robinson and Brandon Wegher for carries this fall.
How this rotation is going to shake is anyone's guess at this point.  Hopefully spring practice will go a long way to answering this question.

 Ricky Stanzi - QBJan. 5 - 9:45 am et
Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi (ankle) says he is "pretty much 100 percent at this point."
This is good news for Hawkeye fans, although he will have to shake off the rust of not having taken a live snap since Nov. 7.

 James Cleveland - WRDec. 6 - 7:15 pm et
Houston wide receiver James Cleveland returned from an undisclosed leg injury to tie a school record with 19 receptions against East Carolina.  Cleveland posted 241 yards receiving and three touchdowns.

 Ricky Stanzi - QBDec. 3 - 1:30 pm et
Iowa running back Adam Robinson (ankle) and quarterback Ricky Stanzi (ankle) will likely return to practice this weekend as they prepare for an upcoming bowl game.
It sounds like both will be full speed, or close to it, for the bowl game. This is good news for the Hawkeyes.

 James Cleveland - WRDec. 3 - 10:45 am et
There have been official updates on Houston wide receiver James Cleveland (ankle/leg).
Like the last few weeks, we have to assume he is questionable for Saturday's C-USA Championship game against East Carolina.

 James Cleveland - WRNov. 20 - 4:00 pm et
Houston wide receiver James Cleveland (unknown) is listed as questionable on several independent injury reports.
While there has been no official word from Houston (as expected), Cleveland is looking like a risky start this weekend.  Whether or not to take the risk depends on who else you can plug in in his place.

 James Cleveland - WRNov. 19 - 12:45 pm et
Thanks to a tip from a reader and some deep investigation work we've learned James Cleveland hurt his left ankle or knee in last week's game against UCF.
The only information we've been able to uncover comes from the Houston Chronicle's gameday blog.  Cleveland took a hard hit, was injured, but did return.  Don't expect any information to come from the Houston camp regarding Cleveland's status.  We will continue to look, but they are the tightest-lipped staff in the country when it comes to injury information.  If he does play, there is a good chance he will be less than 100 percent.  Depending on who you have on your roster, you may want to consider other options.

 Ricky Stanzi - QBNov. 10 - 8:30 pm et
Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi had surgery on his right ankle and will likely miss the rest of the regular season.
Stanzi could return for a bowl game, but Stanzi's absence will greatly hinder Iowa's chances at a Big Ten title and BCS bowl bid.

 James Cleveland - WRNov. 8 - 10:45 am et
Houston wide receiver James Cleveland pulled down 12 passes for 167 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's last-second 46-45 victory over Tulsa.
Cleveland is heating up as the season progresses, totaling 357 yards and five touchdowns in his last two games. Up next for the Cougars is a matchup with UCF and another potential big day for Cleveland.

 Ricky Stanzi - QBNov. 7 - 6:45 pm et
Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi suffered an ankle injury in the second quarter during Iowa's loss to Northwestern and did not return.
Stazi's x-rays were negative and he was diagnosed with a high ankle sprain.  Early word is that he will miss 1-2 weeks. Freshman James Vandenberg completed just nine of 27 passes in his absence.

 James Cleveland - WRNov. 5 - 2:00 am et
Houston wide receiver James Cleveland leads the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns, and as The Houston Chronicle reports, his dismissal at Iowa is well in the rear-view mirror.
Cleveland has emerged as one of the top pass catchers in college fantasy football, and both he and quarterback Case Keenum show no signs of slowing down.

 James Cleveland - WRNov. 1 - 12:00 am et
Houston wide receiver James Cleveland had a career high 190 receiving yards on 12 catches against Southern Miss on Saturday. Two of Cleveland's catches went for touchdowns.
A lot of fantasy owners questioned the value of Cleveland after he didn't find the end zone against SMU, but Cleveland answered those questions today with his third multi-score day of the year.

 Ricky Stanzi - QBOct. 31 - 4:30 pm et
Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi threw a career high five interceptions, but it didn't matter as Iowa rallied once again to remain undefeated.
Cardiac Hawks?  Stanzi threw touchdown passes of 92 and 66 yards in the fourth quarter as Iowa overcame deficits of 21-7 and 24-14.  He finished with 337 yards, hopefully giving you points to make up for the interceptions.

 Tony Moeaki - TEOct. 11 - 8:30 am et
Iowa tight end Tony Moeaki caught six passes for 105 yards and two touchdowns in Iowa's win over Michigan.
His 42 yard touchdown catch early in the fourth quarter gave Iowa a pivotal nine point lead as they held on to stay undefeated.

 Tony Moeaki - TEOct. 6 - 8:30 pm et
ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg reported that Iowa tight end Tony Moeaki (ankle) was going to give it a go in practice today.
Moeaki's injury history makes him one to avoid this week, and likely for the remainder of the season.

 Tony Moeaki - TESep. 21 - 6:30 pm et
Tight end Tony Moeaki (ankle), wide receiver Derrell Johnson-Koulianos (hamstring) and left tackle Bryan Bulaga (undisclosed) are not listed on the depth chart this week against Penn State.  Coach Kirk Frentz says the all three could play.
Moeaki is no stranger to the injury list and, despite his talent, can't be relied upon from a fantasy perspective.

 Jeff Brinson - RBSep. 8 - 11:30 am et
Running backs Jeff Brinson (ankle) and Brandon Wegher were not on Iowa's depth chart released on Monday.  Coach Kirk Ferentz said both could play at some point this fall but have missed practice time.
Adam Robinson is listed as the starter.  Robinson led the Hawkeyes' ground game with 63 yards and a score on 15 carries.  Robinson might be worth a pickup for this week's game against Iowa State if you need help.

 Jewel Hampton - RBSep. 1 - 5:00 pm et
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz today confirmed that running back Jewel Hampton will miss the 2009 season with a knee injury.
Big blow for the Hawkeyes, who are now left with Paki O'Meara and Adam Robinson as 1-2 on the depth chart. We also like young Jeff Brinson (ankle) to eventually make a move.
