 Arrelious Benn - WRDec. 16 - 1:45 pm et
ESPN is reporting that Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn will enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
Benn was billed as one of the top players in the 2007 recruiting class.  Benn will leave Champaign with 2221 yards career receiving yards, but only 10 touchdowns (three rushing).

 Arrelious Benn - WRDec. 15 - 10:45 pm et
ESPN.com's Chris Low reports that former Arkansas offensive coordinator Paul Petrino will make $475,000 calling plays for Illinois.
Petrino must feel like he's hit the lottery: he sees a huge bump in pay and gets to draw plays up in the sand with the Zooker. And he no longer will receive daily noogies from his older brother, Hog coach Bobby Petrino.

 Arrelious Benn - WRDec. 11 - 8:15 pm et
Illinois head coach Ron Zook has dismissed offensive coordinator Mike Schultz, quarterbacks coach Kurt Beathard, wide receivers coach Jim Pry and special teams coordinator Mike Woodford.
No replacements have been named.

 Arrelious Benn - WRDec. 3 - 8:30 pm et
The News Gazette reports that the mother of Illinois junior wide receiver Arrelious Benn wants her son to stay in school for his senior season.
Benn's departure seems to be a forgone conclusion, and hopefully Benn's bonus check will allow mother to get over her disappointment.

 Arrelious Benn - WRNov. 28 - 11:00 am et
Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn caught three passes for 59 yards in the loss to Cincinnati and once again failed to reach the end zone.
Benn only has two touchdowns (one rushing) on the season, and only one game left against Fresno State to add to that total.   Then again, it's not like Benn is an end zone machine.  In three years, his grand total is nine (three on the ground).

 Juice Williams - QBNov. 28 - 10:45 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams threw for 282 yards and three touchdowns while rushing for 67 and a score in the loss to Cincinnati.
Unfortunately, there probably isn't one playoff fantasy team out there that started Williams today.  For that matter, he probably wasn't even owned.

 Juice Williams - QBNov. 24 - 10:00 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams (ankle) is expected to start Saturday against Cincinnati.  Juice sat out the Nov. 14 game against Northwestern and the Illini were on a bye last weekend.
Williams is not a good fantasy start on the road against a team with National Championship aspirations.

 Jacob Charest - QBNov. 14 - 10:30 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams (ankle) will not play as expected today, and Jacob Charest will start in his place against Northwestern.
Not a big surprise, but at least it's something a little more official.

 Juice Williams - QBNov. 9 - 2:15 pm et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams' ankle is not as bad as initially feared, but he is still questionable this week against Northwestern.
If Williams is unable to go, Jacob Charest will get the start.

 Arrelious Benn - WRNov. 8 - 12:15 am et
Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn caught three passes for 41 yards and a touchdown in a win over Minnesota on Saturday.
Not exactly a break out game for Williams, but if you are hoping for late season magic in a bottle, maybe there's more touchdowns in there somewhere.   Williams plays Northwestern next week.

 Juice Williams - QBNov. 8 - 12:15 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams left the game against Minnesota in the first quarter and appeared to be favoring his left leg.
Williams finally breaks through last week against Michigan, so of course he had to get hurt, right?  No word on the severity of the injury at this time.

 Arrelious Benn - WRNov. 1 - 12:15 am et
Illinois wide receiver Arrelious Benn had one reception for 11 yards against Michigan on Saturday.
Benn did manage to score his first touchdown of the year on a three yard rush, but this has got to be one of the bigger college fantasy football busts of the year to date. He has just 298 yards receiving on the season with no touchdowns.

 Mikel LeShoure - RBNov. 1 - 12:15 am et
Illinois running back Mikel LeShoure ran 21 times for 150 yards and a touchdown against Michigan.
His day was highlighted by a 70 yard touchdown run in the third quarter. If you followed our player updates earlier this week, we mentioned that LeShoure was likely the new starting running back for the Illini and could get 20 carries and 100 yards.  Kudos if you grabbed him then.

 Juice Williams - QBNov. 1 - 12:15 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams had 220 total yards and two touchdowns in the Illini's blowout win over Michigan.
By now, you have probably cut Juice loose.  He's been a disappointment this year, right there with Arrelious Benn.  So much for the two quarterback system Ron Zook alluded to earlier this week.

 Mikel LeShoure - RBOct. 28 - 11:00 am et
According to Ron Zook, Illinois running back Mikel LeShoure is separating himself from the rest of the pack for the lead role in the Illini backfield.
Not exactly a fantasy juggernaut at this point, but this late in the year it may not be easy to find a potential 20 carry, 100-yard guy.  If you have space, take a shot on him.

 Juice Williams - QBOct. 27 - 6:45 pm et
Illinois will continue to use both Juice Williams and Jacob Charest at quarterback this week against Michigan.  "Is that ideal?" coach Ron Zook said. "Probably not. But I've seen it work."
Really?  Let's face it, no coach in America would trade having a clear #1 at the helm for a two-quarterback system.  Obviously this is Zook's last attempt to try to salvage an abysmal season.

 Jacob Charest - QBOct. 25 - 12:30 am et
Illinois quarterback Juice Williams was benched once again; this time in favor of freshman Jacob Charest in Illinois' loss to Purdue.
Williams completed just just 9 of 18 passes and ran 14 times for 38 yards.  Williams actually returned in the second half and did rush for a touchdown.  No word on the mental health of Ron Zook at this time.

 Jacob Charest - QBOct. 23 - 8:15 am et
Illinois quarterback Jacob Charest took reps with the first team this week in practice. "We're going to keep pushing buttons and keep making changes and moves until we get this thing where it has to be," coach Ron Zook said.
Juice Williams, who has struggled with turnovers, will likely start.  But it is becoming more evident that Charest will see some time under center.

 Juice Williams - QBOct. 21 - 7:30 pm et
Illinois coach Ron Zook isn't saying who will start at quarterback when the Illini travel to Purdue this Saturday, but he hasn't ruled out playing Jacob Charest.
This would typically be a good spot to play Juice Williams, but the recent revolving door and overall offensive ineptitude is a concern.

 Eddie McGee - QBOct. 12 - 2:45 pm et
After the offensive struggles in the loss to Michigan State, Illinois coach Ron Zook isn't sure if Eddie McGee or Juice Williams will start in this Saturday's epic clash with Indiana.
Eddie McGee struggled to do anything against the Spartans, though Juice came in and at least moved the ball. Regardless of who starts it's difficult to recommend anyone on the Illini offense.
