 Brandon Banks - WRNov. 1 - 8:00 pm et
Kansas State wide receiver Brandon Banks caught nine passes for 156 yards and returned six kicks for 195 yards, including a 98-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
Banks' kickoff return for a touchdown marks his fourth of this season and the fifth of his career. This garners him Big 12 records for season and career kickoff return scoring.

 Brandon Banks - WROct. 23 - 8:15 am et
After having a problem holding onto the ball early in the year, wide receiver Brandon Banks has regained his role as Kansas State's punt returner.
Banks has seen a sharp drop off in touchdowns this season.  Banks had nine touchdown receptions in 2008, but only one so far in 2009.  Maybe he can find paydirt returning kicks.

 Brandon Banks - WRSep. 27 - 8:15 am et
Kansas State wide receiver Brandon Banks caught three passes for 90 yards in Saturday's game.
The impressive - and even record-tying - mark of Banks' day came as he returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, just the 12th man in NCAA history to achieve this feat.  This gave him over 300 all-purpose yards on the day.

 Deon Murphy - WRJul. 15 - 6:15 am et
Former Kansas State wide receiver Deon Murphy will enter the NFL supplemental draft next week.
Murphy left the team in March.

 Carson Coffman - QBMay. 4 - 11:15 am et
Over the past few weeks we've read several reports about Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder stressing the team's lack of consistency this spring. "Good football teams develop consistency, and we are not there yet by any stretch of the imagination," Snyder said.
This includes quarterback Carson Coffman, who despite a strong spring game, still has a ways to go. Use caution when drafting players from Manhattan, Kansas.

 Keithen Valentine - RBMay. 3 - 9:00 am et
Working with the first team offense Kansas State running back Keithen Valentine rushed for 90 yards and two scores on 20 carries in Saturday's spring game.
Valentine will exit spring as the starting running back. With the Wildcats' renewed focus on the run game, he could turn into a decent fantasy option.

 Carson Coffman - QBMay. 3 - 9:00 am et
Working with the first team offense Kansas State quarterback Carson Coffman completed 25-of-36 passes for 334 yards and three touchdowns in Saturday's spring game.
After the game Coffman was named a captain along with tight end Jeron Mastrud, linebacker Alex Hrebec, and offensive lineman Nick Stringer. I think it is safe to say Coffman will be the starter this fall.

 Logan Dold - RBApr. 29 - 3:00 pm et
Kansas State running back Logan Dold has primarily been used as a safety this srping.
With Lamark Brown moving to wide receiver, it leaves Keithen Valentine as the only logical starter at running back.

 Carson Coffman - QBApr. 29 - 3:00 pm et
Kansas State head coach Bill Snyder says that quarterback Carson Coffman "has made a big jump in his performance" the last few days.
We have Coffman penciled in as the Wildcats' starter. However, Collin Klein and Joseph Kassanavoid are also still in the running.

 Brandon Banks - WRApr. 29 - 3:00 pm et
In an interview with ESPN's Tim Griffin, Kansas State wide receiver Brandon Banks says his role may change. "Hopefully, I'll be a big part of the offense, but truthfully, I really don't know what I will be doing," Banks said. "I know I'll touch the ball more than last year."
With a larger emphasis put on the run game under returning head coach Bill Snyder, look for Banks to be used more in the run game with direct snaps or end-arounds.

 Lamark Brown - WRApr. 26 - 6:00 pm et
After a stint at running back last fall, Kansas State's Lamark Brown is back at wide receiver this spring.
Besides receiver Brandon Banks, we'll take a wait and see approach on Kansas State players this fall.

 Deon Murphy - WRMar. 27 - 3:45 pm et
Wide receiver Deon Murphy has left the Kansas State football team. While no reason has been given, it appears he and coach Bill Snyder weren't playing nice.
Murphy's departure means the Wildcats will likely lean more heavily on Brandon Banks in 2009.

 Josh Freeman - QBJan. 2 - 6:15 pm et
Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman has decided it is time to move on, and will enter the NFL draft in April. Feeman cited a change in the coaching staff and a high second round grade by the advisory commitee.
Freeman's announcement does not come as a surprise. He has all the physical tools of an NFL quarterback, and his stock probaly won't be any higher than it is right now.
 Josh Freeman - QBDec. 17 - 10:00 pm et
Neither Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman nor his family knows whether the junior quarterback will return for his senior season.
Josh Freeman's father, Ron Freeman, expects a decision to be made by the end of this month or early January. Signs point to Freeman departing K-State, though the return of Coach Bill Snyder to the sidelines may sway the quarterback to return.

 Josh Freeman - QBNov. 24 - 1:04 pm et
Kansas State introduced Bill Snyder as its "new" head coach on Monday.
Snyder, Kansas State's all-time leader in coaching victories, will return to the Manhattan sidelines for the first time since his retirement in November of 2005. The coach built many of his teams through the junior college route, and it'll be interesting to see if this philosophy will produce the same results that it did during his first tenure.

 Brandon Banks - WRNov. 23 - 12:00 am et
With seven catches going for 116 yards and a touchdown today against the Iowa State Cyclones, the Kansas State's Brandon Banks now becomes only the sixth wideout in school history with 1000 yards or better receiving in a single season.
It's the second straight year that KSU has seen a 1000 yard receiver, with Jordy Nelson last year grabbing 1606 yards on 122 catches.
 Josh Freeman - QBNov. 22 - 11:00 pm et
Junior quarterback Josh Freeman for the Kansas State Wildcats threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns today versus Iowa State, thereby sending departing head coach Ron Prince out a victor in his final game with KSU.
NFL scouts were at today's game yet again, evaluating the junior's overall talents with bright eyes. With Prince now departing Kansas State, it's hard to imagine that Freeman will return for a senior year with the Wildcats.
 Josh Freeman - QBNov. 17 - 5:15 pm et
Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman suffered a mild concussion in last Saturday's loss to Nebraska.
After a strong start to the season, Freeman has struggled the last three weeks. Freeman has only thrown two touchdowns passes in that span, and he is suddenly a risky fantasy start against Iowa State.

 Josh Freeman - QBNov. 15 - 10:00 pm et
Josh Freeman, the nation's 13th ranked passer at 292 yards per game, was sacked five times today against Nebraska and held to 7-of-18 passing for 114 yards on the day.
Freeman was eventually replaced by sophomore Carson Coffman midway through the third quarter.

 Josh Freeman - QBNov. 13 - 8:15 pm et
According to a recent Jeffrey Martin blog (Wichita Eagle and The Kansas City Star), Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman may be considering early entry into the NFL draft this spring.
Freeman, a junior, has a strong arm and NFL size, making him a prime candidate to leave early. We'll have more potential early entry candidates in the coming weeks.
