 Ross Jenkins - QBFeb. 8 - 7:45 pm et
Louisiana Tech starting  quarterback Ross Jenkins was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over by Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries officers Sunday morning at 1:40am. “I am deeply disappointed that this has happened," Tech head coach Sonny Dykes said in a released statement. "This will be handled by the judicial system and we will discipline Ross internally within our program.”
Yes you read that correctly, Jenkins was pulled over by wildlife and fisheries agents. Needless to say, things got a little weird in the State of Louisiana last night.

 Daniel Porter - RBDec. 5 - 9:30 pm et
Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter ran 28 times for 199 yards and three touchdowns in a win over San Jose State.
At 4-8, this wraps up a career for Porter.  An up and down year for the senior ends with 11 touchdowns.  Porter failed to live up to his preseason potential, but was a solid college RB.  Best wishes.

 Dennis Morris - TENov. 22 - 2:45 pm et
Louisiana Tech tight end Dennis Morris had seven catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns against Fresno State.
In a tough year for tight ends, Morris has flown under the radar for most of the year.  He is now up to 11 touchdowns on the season, and has scored in each of his last six contests.

 Ross Jenkins - QBNov. 22 - 2:45 pm et
Louisiana Tech quarterback Ross Jenkins threw for 206 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to Fresno State.
It's doubtful Jenkins was in your lineup last night, but if he was, congrats!  Its been an up and down year for Jenkins yardage wise, so enjoy the touchdowns and don't expect a repeat performance.

 Daniel Porter - RBNov. 18 - 7:15 pm et
Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter and wide receiver Phillip Livas were "banged up" in last Saturday's game against LSU, according to The News-Star.
Porter has been on and off the injury list much of the year.  At this point he's not worth the risk.

 Daniel Porter - RBNov. 13 - 7:45 pm et
The Advocate has nice piece on Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter being a gym rat and how it has paid off for him this season.
After a slow start, Porter is right on pace to crack 1000 yards and double digit scores.  He and the Bulldogs will have an uphill battle against a much bigger and physical LSU team this week, however.

 Daniel Porter - RBNov. 3 - 3:15 am et
Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter (concussion) and wide receiver Phillip Livas (ankle) both left Saturday's game early, and the Idaho Statesman quotes coach Derek Dooley as saying both players will be game-time decisions this week.
Couple these injuries with the fact that the Bulldogs welcome Boise State to town, and fantasy owners should avoid both Porter and Livas like the swine flu.

 Ross Jenkins - QBNov. 1 - 7:30 pm et
Louisiana Tech quarterback Ross Jenkins passed for 220 yards and three touchdowns in a loss to Idaho.
After a quiet start to the season, Jenkins now has eight touchdown passes in his last three games.  Unfortunately, Boise State and LSU are up next for the Bulldogs, so this hot streak is unlikely to continue.

 Daniel Porter - RBOct. 18 - 8:30 am et
Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter ran 19 times for 132 yards against New Mexico State.
Questionable to play at the beginning of the day, Porter led the way for the Bulldogs.  He looks like a solid play next week at Utah State.

 Daniel Porter - RBOct. 13 - 10:45 pm et
"Hopefully he'll be fine," Louisiana Tech coach Derek Dooley said about running back Daniel Porter (hamstring).
Porter is still listed as the starter on the depth chart but there seems to be a high probability he won't play, and even if he does he won't be 100 percent.

 Daniel Porter - RBOct. 12 - 8:30 pm et
There have been no status updates on Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter, who appeared to tweak his hamstring in the third quarter Friday night against Nevada.  Porter did not play in the fourth quarter.
"Daniel pulled his hamstring and you risk losing him for the season if you put him back in there," coach Derek Dooley said.  There have been no further status updates on Porter's status for this Saturday against New Mexico State.

 Daniel Porter - RBOct. 9 - 1:15 pm et
Lousiana Tech running back Daniel Porter blames his slow start on having "a whole bunch of clutter in (his) mind."  Porter went on to say, "it’s not how you start, it’s how you finish."
After last week's 25 carry, 160 yard and two touchdown performance against Hawaii, Porter appears to be on the right track.  With Nevada up next, Porter should have another strong day.  Although 25 carries might be a tad high for Porter, we expect him more in the 20 carries a game range.

 Daniel Porter - RBOct. 1 - 8:15 am et
Louisiana Tech running back Daniel Porter got it cranked up Wednesday, rushing for 160 yards and two scores on 25 carries against Hawaii.
With Nevada, New Mexico State and Utah State on tap, look for Porter to put together a string of solid performances.

 Ross Jenkins - QBSep. 20 - 10:45 am et
Louisiana Tech quarterback Ross Jenkins finally had an opportunity to shine in a 48-13 win over Nichols State on Saturday, completing 21 of 30 passing for 357 yards and two touchdowns.
Take into consideration the level of competition Louisiana Tech faced Saturday and you have a better understanding of how Jenkins was able to finally put together a solid performance through the air for the Bulldogs.

 Ross Jenkins - QBSep. 6 - 10:45 am et
Ross Jenkins started off strong for Louisiana Tech Saturday evening against the Auburn Tigers - he completed his first ten pass attempts - but finished 18 of 33 for 149 yards, one touchdown and one interception, while also finishing second on the team in rushing with 10 carries for 36 yards.
Looks like Louisiana Tech's offensive woes continue.  No doubt this team has talent - Daniel Porter at tailback, Phillip Livas at wide receiver - but until a stabilizing presence is identified under center, don't expect the Bulldogs to put up much in the way of yardage or stats, especially against BCS conference foes like Auburn.

 Daniel Porter - RBNov. 15 - 9:45 pm et
Junior tailback for the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs, Daniel Porter, continued to establish himself as a go-to ball carrier today versus Utah State, taking 24 carries for 114 yards and a touchdown in a 45-38 win over the Aggies.
The Bulldogs have gone away from Patrick Jackson and moved toward getting Porter increased carries over the last three to four weeks; the junior has done nothing but respond, now putting up his third consecutive 100-yard day on the ground versus the Aggies Saturday.

 Daniel Porter - RBNov. 2 - 1:30 am et
When speaking of Louisiana Tech, fans and fantasy owners have become accustomed to hearing Patrick Jackson's name mentioned when it came to player with the greatest star potential out of the Bulldogs' backfield; yet today, as has been the case over the past few weeks, it was junior teammate, Daniel Porter, that outran Jackson and the opposing Fresno State defense as Louisiana Tech won an important conference match up, 38-35. For the day, Porter acquired 189 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries.
Last three games comparison between Jackson and Porter: Jackson - nine carries for 62 yards; six carries for 20; 10 carries for 59 yards, all with just one touchdown; Porter - 23 attempts for 145 yards; 20 attempts for 73 yards; and 20 attempts for 189 yards; total of four touchdowns rushing.

 Patrick Jackson - RBJul. 17 - 8:34 pm et
Louisiana Tech's Patrick Jackson is our 64th rated fantasy running back for the 2008 season.
Another in a long line of 1000 & 10 non-BCS fantasy backs.
 Zac Champion - QBOct. 14 - 9:25 am et
Louisiana Tech quarterback Zac Champion accounted for 269 total yards and two touchdowns against New Mexico State.
Champion is a solid fantasy quarterback when match-ups are right.
