 Jordan Jefferson - QBNov. 19 - 12:45 pm et
Unless there is a setback, LSU coach Les Miles says quarterback Jordan Jefferson (ankle) will start against Ole Miss on Saturday.
Jefferson is only an option if you are still alive in the playoffs in an SEC-only league.

 Keiland Williams - RBNov. 17 - 10:15 am et
"I couldn't give him the ball enough," LSU coach Les Miles said after running back Keiland Williams rushed for 116 yards and two scores last week against Louisiana Tech.
Looks like Williams is ready to step in as the lead back with Charles Scott (collarbone) out the rest of the season.

LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson returned to practice for the Tigers on Monday.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBNov. 14 - 1:30 pm et
ESPN's Joe Schad is reporting that sources are telling him that Jarrett Lee will start Saturday against Louisiana Tech.  Starter Jordan Jefferson (ankle) will play if needed.
This doesn't come as a shock and changes little from a fantasy perspective.  If you planned on playing Brandon LaFell, Terrance Toliver or taking a flier on Russell Shepard, you're still playing them.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBNov. 12 - 2:00 pm et
LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson (ankle) returned to practice on Wednesday, but his status for Saturday's game against Louisiana Tech remains questionable.   “Jefferson took snaps, took throws,” LSU coach Les Miles said. “He was a little gimped, but getting better. We’ll kind of know more as we go forward. To be honest with you, I do feel good about him.”
Given this is a non-conference tilt, there is a high probability that Jefferson sits this one out and Jarrett Lee gets the start.

 Richard Dickson - TENov. 10 - 8:30 pm et
LSU tight end Richard Dickson (knee) could return to action this week against Louisiana Tech.
Dickson has been limited the better part of three weeks due to the injury.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBNov. 10 - 2:15 pm et
"(Quarterback) Jordan Jefferson (ankle) it appears is going to be fine," LSU coach Les Miles said. "We expect him with us this week."
Jefferson will likely start against Louisiana Tech on Saturday but is not widely considered a fantasy option.

 Charles Scott - RBNov. 8 - 10:00 pm et
The collarbone injury suffered by LSU running back Charles Scott will cause him to miss the rest of the regular season.
This is a big blow for the Tigers and fantasy owners. Look for LSU to fill the void with a by-committee approach.

 Charles Scott - RBNov. 8 - 10:45 am et
The Times Picayune reports that LSU running back Charles Scott suffered a broken collarbone in Saturday's loss to Alabama.
The rugged back left the field following a 34-yard romp and didn't return. The loss of Scott will certainly hurt LSU and the senior's fantasy owners.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBNov. 8 - 10:30 am et
LSU's 24-15 loss to Alabama may have hurt the Tigers season beyond handing them their second SEC loss and virtually no shot at the SEC Championship game. The Tigers lost quarterback Jordan Jefferson and running back Charles Scott in the first half. Jefferson suffered an ankle injury while evading a sack attempt, and Charles Scott an apparent shoulder injury (or collarbone) after ripping off a 34 yard run.
In addition to these two injuries to LSU's offensive playmakers the Tigers momentarily lost offensive line leader Ciron Black, senior defensive tackle Al Woods, and cornerback superstar Patrick Peterson, but they will get to "rest up" playing Louisiana Tech next week.

 Brandon LaFell - WRNov. 1 - 7:30 pm et
With an 85 yard, two touchdown performance, LSU wide receiver Brandon LaFell now sits just four receiving touchdowns behind school career leader Dwayne Bowe. LaFell's 22 career touchdown receptions are second on the LSU career list.
A tough matchup awaits LaFell and the Tigers next week when they travel to Tuscaloosa. The Tide have only given up five passing touchdowns on the season, but LaFell having a big game will be key to any chance LSU has at winning this one.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBOct. 25 - 11:00 am et
Although he's been blamed for many of LSU's offensive struggles, quarterback Jordan Jefferson is having a respectable fantasy season. He displayed this once again against Auburn, passing for 242 yards and two touchdowns, and adding 26 yards rushing and a score.
Until Jefferson becomes more comfortable in the passing game he's still just a spot starter, but next week's game against Tulane should be one of those sneaky spot start opportunities.

 Charles Scott - RBOct. 23 - 5:45 pm et
“We’re trying to get Scott’s numbers up,” LSU coach Les Miles said of running back Charles Scott. “There’s a concerted effort to want to run the football more...We want to spread the ball around more but we want to get Charles Scott lathered up and let him have a game or two as we move forward.”
Scott spent the first half of the season doing more blocking than running and has yet to crack 20 carries in a single game.  Based on Miles' comments, that is likely to change.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBOct. 20 - 11:30 pm et
When asked about the possibility for Jarrett Lee to see more time at quarterback, LSU coach Les Miles backed starter Jordan Jefferson.  Though he did leave the door open for Lee to play at some point.
Jefferson is completing 62.8 percent of his passes this season.  Apparently Tiger fans get a little antsy after a loss and a week off to think about it.

 Charles Scott - RBOct. 10 - 12:00 am et
LSU tailback Charles Scott was thrilled to wake up sore following his workmanlike effort against Georgia, and it sounds like offensive line coach Greg Studrawa is ready to feed his big back Saturday against the Gators.
Scott eats up yards while eating up clock, and this means he's likely to see a whole bunch of carries against the talented Gator defense. We'll see what he does with these carries Saturday night, but anytime you have a back that can handle such carries he should be a serious start consideration, regardless of the opponent.

 Charles Scott - RBOct. 3 - 10:15 pm et
LSU running back Charles Scott, the leading scorer at his position in 2008, burst back onto the scene for the Tigers at the most opportune time, giving them a late fourth quarter score for the win. Scott finished with 19 carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns.
Maybe Charles Scott has decided he doesn't like being the "fullback" for Keiland Williams after all...It's good to have you back big fella.

 Jordan Jefferson - QBSep. 27 - 8:15 am et
LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson posted 233 yards passing and two touchdowns against Mississippi State this week, and he appears to be getting more comfortable in his new role as the Tiger signal caller as each game passes.
At 6'5" and 220 pounds you would think it is hard to miss the LSU, but Jefferson is not a name frequently brought up in fantasy quarterback conversations. Looking at Jefferson's body of work for the season he's completed 61% of his passes (62-of-101) for 708 yards for seven touchdowns and only one interception.

 DeAngelo Benton - WRSep. 17 - 12:00 am et
Auburn receivers coach Trooper Taylor told The Birmingham News that freshmen wide receivers DeAngelo Benton and Emory Blake "will be involved when they earn it."
Clearly the young talents out wide aren't doing all the things they're supposed to do, though in all fairness Blake did miss time with a death in the family. At this point it's safe to look at both wide receivers as long-term prospects only.

 Charles Scott - RBSep. 16 - 1:45 pm et
LSU running back Charles Scott doesn't mind playing fullback and blocking for running back Keiland Williams.  In fact Scott has recommended that Williams start at tailback instead of him.  "Well, he's a team guy," coach Les Miles said. "He has always been. I enjoy it."
We respect Scott's team first attitude and it is probably a good idea if he wants to pursue an NFL career.  But fantasy owners don't score points for blocking.  It is probably time to cut bait on Scott.

 Richard Murphy - RBSep. 13 - 7:45 pm et
Sources close to the program say that LSU running back Richard Murphy will require knee surgery and is likely done for the year.
Murphy only has two carries on the season.
