 Robert Marve - QBFeb. 8 - 11:00 pm et
ESPN's Adam Rittenberg believes Miami transfer Robert Marve is the front-runner to claim the open quarterback job at Purdue.
We certainly aren't going to disagree. Beyond Marve, Purdue looks awfully thin at quarterback.  As we've stated previously, our money is on this former Cane to win the starting job.

 Shawnbrey McNeal - RBFeb. 8 - 8:30 pm et
With the early departure of Shawnbrey McNeal to the NFL draft, SMU coach June Jones says running back recruits Darryl Fields and Kevin Pope are expected to contribute right away.
Fields is the higher rated recruit according to Rivals.com. However, it would be a mistake to assume any of the Mustang running backs can match McNeal's 1188 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.

 Graig Cooper - RBJan. 27 - 3:15 pm et
Miami running back Graig Cooper (torn ACL) could return for the season opener against Florida A&M on Sept. 4.
You can bet Cooper, who was said to have been heavily considering leaving early for the NFL Draft, will try to return this season instead of sitting out a year and redshirting.

 Shawnbrey McNeal - RBJan. 16 - 9:45 am et
SMU running back Shawnbrey McNeal has decided to forgo his senior year and enter the 2010 NFL Draft.
McNeal's decision comes as no surprise as he previously stated that he wanted to do what is best for his ailing mother.

 Jacory Harris - QBJan. 6 - 1:45 pm et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris is expected to have thumb surgery on his right (throwing) hand.
Harris will likely miss most of spring practice, but should be ready for fall camp.

 Graig Cooper - RBDec. 30 - 5:00 pm et
The Associated Press is reporting that Miami running back Graig Cooper's knee injury sustained in last night's Champs Sports Bowl  is "very bad" and he could miss the 2010 season.
This is horrific news for Cooper who was highly considering entering the 2010 NFL Draft.  Obviously those plans are out the window.

 Leonard Hankerson - WRDec. 30 - 11:00 am et
After last night's bowl loss to Wisconsin, Miami wide receiver Leonard Hankerson announced he would return to the Hurricanes for his senior season.
Somewhat surprising given Hankerson's recent quotes, and the fact that he has two children.  He'll lead a deep and talented group of Hurricane receivers.  Unfortunately, that depth means limited fantasy stardom.

 Leonard Hankerson - WRDec. 27 - 4:00 pm et
Miami wide receiver Leonard Hankerson said he is "80 percent" sure on whether or not he will return for his senior season or enter the NFL Draft, though he's going to keep us all in suspense until the days following this week's bowl game.
I'm 80 percent sure that the wide receiver will be declaring for the draft. Hankerson received some brilliant advice from former Miami Dolphin Mark Duper, who told the his protege, "Whatever you do, just make sure you make the right choice." And advice like this is priceless.

 Graig Cooper - RBDec. 24 - 9:00 pm et
"I don't want to talk about the NFL right now," Miami running back Graig Cooper said. "I'm not worried about that right now. I'm worried about this bowl game."
This quote is a standard response for those highly considering entering the NFL draft and is usually followed by an announcement that they are leaving early shortly after their bowl game.

 Jacory Harris - QBDec. 22 - 11:00 pm et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris is still bothered by a thumb injury on his right (throwing) hand.
Harris has been playing through the pain late in the season, so we don't expect anything different against Wisconsin in the Champs Bowl.

 Shawnbrey McNeal - RBDec. 18 - 10:15 am et
SMU running back Shawnbrey McNeal says he will explore his NFL options and needs to do what is best for his family.  "I want my mom to have a better life than the one she has been living all these years," said McNeal. "Every junior wants to look into the possibility of going pro after three years. I just want to see what gives my mom a better chance at a better life."  Shawnbrey's mother suffers from diabetes.
Those don't sound like words of a man that is going to return to school.  And if he can get an NFL paycheck, we wouldn't blame him.

 Graig Cooper - RBDec. 8 - 10:00 am et
Susan Miller Degnan of the Miami Herald lists Miami Hurricane running back Graig Cooper, offensive lineman Orlando Franklin, wide receiver Leonard Hankerson  and linebacker Colin McCarthy as potential early entrants to the 2010 NFL Draft.
Cooper was one of our potential candidates as well.   You can find all of the early entrants that have declared on our main page.

 Shawnbrey McNeal - RBNov. 29 - 10:00 am et
SMU running back Shawnbrey McNeal had 147 yards and two touchdowns on 26 carries in their 26-21 win over Tulane on Saturday.
This marks McNeal's fourth 100-yard game in his junior season and the first time the Mustangs will be bowl-bound since 1984.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 23 - 9:45 am et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris left Saturday's win over Duke with his arm in a sling, and today coach Randy Shannon this was simply for comedic effect, having said earlier in the week that his quarterback "was fine."
Harris has had an injured thumb of late, and at last check an injured thumb requires no arm sling.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 21 - 11:15 pm et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris came into this week's game against Duke with an ailing and heavily-taped right thumb, and he added to his injury woes by being placed in a post-game sling. Hurting or not, Harris managed to throw for 348 yards and two touchdowns to end Duke's bowl game hopes.
There is no word yet on what brought about the post-game sling for Harris, but it sounds like it could add to an already tough match up against South Florida next week if he is a go.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 18 - 5:15 pm et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris says he is playing Saturday against Duke despite a banged up left ring finger.
We'll take Harris at his word.  Odds are, however, if you've made it this far, you have less risky options to play this week.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 17 - 10:15 am et
The Miami Herald, citing a source close to the Miami Hurricane football program, reports that Jacory Harris (finger) is wearing a cast on his throwing hand.
Harris is still expected to play against Duke on Saturday, though this finger injury should cause some concern for fantasy owners.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 16 - 7:30 am et
Despite a four interception performance against North Carolina on Saturday, Miami coach Randy Shannon says he and the team continue to "have confidence in" their sophomore quarterback Jacory Harris.
It's easy to lose sight of the youth of many quarterbacks leading the nation's top teams; Harris will only get better with more experience.

 Jacory Harris - QBNov. 15 - 8:00 am et
Miami quarterback Jacory Harris threw a career-high four interceptions that contributed greatly to the Hurricanes upset loss to North Carolina. Harris finished the game with 319 yards passing, a touchdown, and four those four picks.
Harris now has a 19:16 touchdown to interception ratio and has been sacked 25 times.

 Javarris James - RBNov. 12 - 11:15 am et
Miami coach Randy Shannon told The Miami Herald that running back Javarris James "should be ready to go fully this week" against Wake Forest.
James only saw one carry last week, and Shannon's comments notwithstanding, he shouldn't receive start consideration this week.
