 Ricky Dobbs - QBDec. 31 - 1:45 am et
Navy starting center Eric Douglass will miss the Texas Bowl against Missouri due to academic issues. Brady DeMell will take his place.
DeMell has a good deal of experience so while this news isn't great for the Navy attack it's not the end of the world either. Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo appears confident that Douglass will be back for spring ball.

Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo told The Baltimore Sun that quarterback Ricky Dobbs (knee) "looked great" in practice and he's ready to tackle the Fighting Irish.
Dobbs is an intriguing option this week, though coming off an injury he may be a little too risky for fantasy owners this late in the season.

 Ricky Dobbs - QBNov. 3 - 5:30 pm et
ESPN.com's Graham Watson reports that Navy quarterback Ricky Dobbs is expected to start on Saturday against Notre Dame.
Dobbs, who has missed the last two weeks, is an interesting option against an Irish defense that has allowed its share of points this season. However, as he's not in game shape, we'd recommend going with another option at quarterback.

 Ricky Dobbs - QBAug. 16 - 10:00 am et
Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo is going to look to throw more thanks to quarterback Ricky Dobbs' nice arm, and this was evident in their first scrimmage, as Navy threw on four of its first six plays.
Navy will still be a run-first and run-second too, but very much like Georgia Tech, the Midshipmen are going to look to display a little more balance.

 Ricky Dobbs - QBMar. 18 - 10:00 pm et
Navy coach Ken Niumatalolo said of the starting quarterback job: "It's Ricky's job to lose because we've seen what Ricky can do and he's been in real games. He's performed well under pressure."
No surprise here. Kriss Proctor and Mike Stukel are listed as the backups. Dobbs, like any starting Navy quarterback, is an interesting starting option when matchups appear right, though the position's inconsistent production makes a longterm investment a little risky.

A starter for Saturday's game has yet to be announced. Both Kaipo-Noa and Ricky Dobbs will likely see time under center making the Navy quarterback position one to avoid from a fantasy perspective.

 Ricky Dobbs - QBNov. 17 - 5:15 pm et
Based on recent performances in relief duty, Ricky Dobbs may be close to making his first start at quarterback for Navy.
Head coach Ken Niumatalolo has been hesitant to turn over the keys to the sophomore because he is still raw and makes mistakes in practice. However, the Midshipmen seem to respond whenever Dobbs is inserted into the lineup. Dobbs is one to keep an eye on for next year.
