 Toby Gerhart - RBJan. 19 - 8:00 pm et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart is not listed on the NFL's official early entry list.
Before fantasy owners get too excited, Gerhart says he is off to the NFL.  However, despite having a year of eligibility remaining, the NFL must be classifying him as a senior.

 Andrew Luck - QBJan. 19 - 9:00 am et
Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh has reportedly turned down the head coaching job for the Buffalo Bills.
While this is good news for Cardinal fans, you have to wonder just how long he will keep turning down jobs if he continues to win.

 Toby Gerhart - RBJan. 16 - 12:15 am et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart has decided to declare for the 2010 NFL Draft.
At some point one can do no more where he's at and it's time to move on. This is one such instance. Stanford has a gaping hole at the running back spot.

 Tavita Pritchard - QBJan. 1 - 12:15 pm et
Starting for the injured Andrew Luck, Stanford quarterback Tavita Pritchard completed just 8 of 19 passes for 117 yards and was intercepted twice.
A tough way to wrap up a career and the Cardinal will welcome back a healthy Luck with open arms next season.

 Toby Gerhart - RBJan. 1 - 12:00 pm et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart scored twice and had 135 yards in a Sun Bowl loss to Oklahoma.
Gerhart has one year of eligibility left, but has already slipped when discussing his plans for next year.  He finishes the year with an amazing 28 touchdowns and 1,871 yards.  Best of luck on Sunday's Mr. Gerhart.

 Andrew Luck - QBDec. 30 - 5:00 pm et
Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck did not practice on Tuesday, a day after having the pins removed in the index finger of his right (throwing) hand.
As we stated before, we don't see coach Jim Harbaugh risking Luck's future against Oklahoma.  We fully expect Tavita Pritchard to start.

 Andrew Luck - QBDec. 29 - 11:30 pm et
Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck had the pins removed from his finger on Monday.
While he is being considered a game-time decision, we don't see coach Jim Harbaugh jeopardizing Luck's future with only two days to prepare.  Tavita Pritchard will likely get the start.

 Tavita Pritchard - QBDec. 29 - 1:00 pm et
Tavita Pritchard will start at quarterback for Stanford when they take on Oklahoma in the Sun Bowl on Dec. 31.
There was an outside chance Andrew Luck (finger surgery) could return, but that won't happen. Pritchard is no stranger to the starting role, having started 19 games for the Cardinal before giving way to Luck this season.

 Andrew Luck - QBDec. 14 - 10:15 am et
Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck could return to practice just before the Cardinal bowl game against Oklahoma on Dec. 31.  "We'll figure out if there is a role he could play in the game," Harbaugh said. "He's not been ruled out, but we're not counting on it."
Despite Harbaugh's optimism, we would not recommend playing Luck this bowl season.

 Andrew Luck - QBDec. 12 - 4:00 pm et
"Though the rumor mill has been running full gear, my resolve and future proudly remains as head coach at Stanford University,"  Jim Harbaugh  said.
Harbaugh has been recently rumored to be a candidate for the open Kansas job.  Even though running back Toby Gerhart graduates, quarterback Andrew Luck returns and Harbaugh is no dummy.  Luck gives the Cardinal the chance to continue to improve.

 Toby Gerhart - RBDec. 10 - 8:00 pm et
Stanford's Toby Gerhart won the Doak Walker Award given to nation's top collegiate running back.
Gerhart beat out finalists Mark Ingram from Alabama and C.J. Spiller from Clemson. Gerhart leads the FBS in rushing yards with 1736 and rushing touchdowns with 26.

 Toby Gerhart - RBDec. 10 - 8:00 am et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart accidentally tipped his hadn regarding the 2010 NFL Draft in an interview on Comcast's Chronicle Live.  “I’m going to start training here shortly, get ready for the combine,"  Gerhart said.  There is only one combine coming up and that is the NFL Draft Combine in February.
I don't think anyone would disagree that Gerhart is physically ready for the NFL.  He reminds me of former NFL fullback/running back Mike Alstott.

 Toby Gerhart - RBDec. 8 - 8:15 am et
Five footballers have been named finalists for the Heisman Trophy to be presented on Dec. 12 at 8 p.m. EST.  Stanford running back Toby Gerhart, Alabama running back Mark Ingram, Texas quarterback Colt McCoy, Nebraska defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and Florida quarterback Tim Tebow will travel to New York for a chance to become the 75th recipient of the prestigious award.
Ingram may have locked up the award with his three touchdown performance against Florida on national television Saturday night.  However, my vote would go to Stanford running back Toby Gerhart.  Gerhart leads the FBS in both rushing yards with 1736 and rushing touchdowns with 26.

 Andrew Luck - QBDec. 7 - 8:15 pm et
Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck had surgery on his right (throwing) hand.  Luck injured the hand in the season finale against Notre Dame.  He will miss two to three week and is highly doubtful for the Sun Bowl against Oklahoma.
This is a tough blow for the Cardinal. If Luck can't play, Tavita Pritchard is expected to take over as the starter.  But they will need to lean even more heavily on running back Toby Gerhart now.

 Toby Gerhart - RBNov. 29 - 10:00 am et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart was up to his old tricks Saturday against Notre Dame, rushing for 205 yards and three touchdowns. Gerhart also threw for a score to receiver Ryan Whalen in the second half.
That makes 26 rushing touchdowns on the season for Gerhart, with 13 coming in his last four games. He's as consistent as they come.

 Toby Gerhart - RBNov. 22 - 2:45 pm et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart had 136 yards and four touchdowns in a loss to Cal.
Gerhart was a one-man wrecking crew, as quarterback Andrew Luck struggled to a 10-for-30, 157 yard evening.  Touchdown Toby is now up to 23 scores on the year heading in to next week's finale against Notre Dame.

 Toby Gerhart - RBNov. 15 - 8:15 am et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart continued his run through the Pac-10, gaining 178 yards and scoring three times in an upset win over Southern Cal.
Wow.  Gerhart is now up to 19 touchdowns on the year, as the Cardinal have beaten USC and Oregon in back-to-back weekends.  With Cal and Notre Dame remaining, Gerhart could threaten 25 rushing scores.

 Toby Gerhart - RBNov. 7 - 10:15 pm et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart carried 38 times for 223 yards and three touchdowns in an upset win over Oregon
Wow.  All of the above numbers are season highs, and this guy is a stud.  Gerhart has failed to score just once this season, so it will be interesting to see what results await him next week at Southern Cal.

 Toby Gerhart - RBOct. 25 - 10:45 am et
Stanford running back Toby Gerhart ran 27 times for 125 yards and a touchdown against Arizona State.
Gerhart's heavy workload proves his ankle was just fine.  But just in case, Stanford has next week's bye to make sure Gerhart is 100% heading in to November 7th's matchup against Oregon.

 Toby Gerhart - RBOct. 20 - 8:45 pm et
ESPN.com reports that Stanford running back Toby Gerhart (ankle) practiced on Monday, and coach Jim Harbaugh said he "looked like Toby."
As Ted Miller reports, ankle injuries are tough to gauge. It's looking like Gerhart will play against ASU, though owners will want to wait for further reports.
