 Jamie Hampton - QBJan. 19 - 9:00 am et
Despite losing offensive coordinator Neal Brown, Troy head coach Larry Blakeney still feels good about his offense.  “Having the quarterback back is a key thing,” Blakeney said. “And then we have some guys who have played a little bit, which should make the situation a little easier.”
After sitting out the 2009 season to let his surgically repaired knee heal, Jamie Hampton will return to his role as the Trojans' starting quarterback.  With receiver Jerrell Jernigan and running backs Shawn Southward and DuJuan Harris also returning, Blakeney can breathe a little easier.

 Levi Brown - QBNov. 22 - 2:45 pm et
Troy quarterback Levi Brown nearly hit the 500 mark for passing yards, completing 27-of-36 passes for a school-record 477 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception.
Brown has seven games of more than 300 yards passing, three of those being north of 400 yards, and over 3,500 yards passing for the season.

 Levi Brown - QBNov. 1 - 7:45 pm et
Troy quarterback Levi Brown posted his third consecutive 350 yard plus passing game against Louisiana-Monroe this week, torching them for 378 yards and four touchdowns.
Coming into this week's game against Louisiana-Monroe, Troy quarterback Levi Brown was only 30% owned.  His totals for the past three games stand at 1,238 yards and eight touchdowns, and he has topped the 300-yard passing mark in five of eight games this season. With Western Kentucky's 120th ranked defense on the schedule for next week, Levi Brown should make for an amazing spot start.

 Levi Brown - QBNov. 1 - 1:45 am et
Troy quarterback Levi Brown threw for 378 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Louisiana-Monroe.
Brown has recovered from a relatively slow start to the 2009 campaign, and he now has thrown seven touchdowns in his last two outings with nary an interception to be found. All the men just call him sir.

 Levi Brown - QBOct. 18 - 2:15 pm et
In his third game passing with more than 300 yards, Troy quarterback Levi Brown lit up the Florida International secondary to the tune of 391 yards and three touchdowns.
Brown has tallied 937 yards, six touchdowns, and zero interceptions in his last three games, and gets to feast on the North Texas defense allowing 211 yards per game and 10 passing touchdown on the season next.

 DuJuan Harris - RBSep. 19 - 8:15 pm et
Troy running back DuJuan Harris limped off the field late in the fourth quarter in Saturday's win over UAB.
Harris, who rushed for 61 yards and a score, appeared to hurt his knee.

 Jamie Hampton - QBMay. 1 - 4:15 pm et
Troy quarterback Jamie Hampton will redshirt the 2009 season in order to rest his surgically repaired knee.
The move has allowed Levi Brown, who filled in for Hampton after he was injured against Florida Atlantic, to concentrate on being the starter come this fall. Don't forget about Hampton when you're filling out your 2010 draft board.

 Levi Brown - QBMar. 20 - 11:00 am et
While speaking of the quarterback job Troy head coach Larry Blakeney said, "The quarterback job is Levi?s to lose and he has gotten off to a good start in the spring."
Levi Brown took over after Jamie Hampton went down with an injury. Brown was impressive when afforded the chance, throwing 15 touchdowns in his seven starts. With the dynamic Jerrel Jernigan and others returning, Mr. Brown could push towards 30 touchdowns in 2009.

 Jerrel Jernigan - WRNov. 14 - 12:00 pm et
There is speculation that Troy wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan (knee) could be held out of Saturday's game against LSU in order to rest up for conference foe Louisiana-Lafayette the following week. Jernigan (and coaches), however, all suggest that he will play against the SEC foe.
We'll likely see the talented Jernigan play this week, but probably only as a wide receiver and not taking hand offs or direct snaps at quarterback.

 Jerrel Jernigan - WRNov. 9 - 6:45 pm et
Earlier we had reports that Troy wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan's recovery from from a knee injury was ahead of schedule and could return to the lineup soon. Jernigan returned last week against Western Kentucky and caught six passes for 88 yards.
Jernigan's return is significant as many owners may have given up on him after he was injured. If he is available, he is good waiver wire pickup.
 Jerrel Jernigan - WRNov. 3 - 9:30 pm et
Troy wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan (knee surgery) could return to the lineup earlier than we previously thought. When asked about Jerrel's status in the Sun Belt's weekly press conference, head coach Larry Blakeney said, "He's getting closer and I don't predict him being out there right away, but I think we will get him back and hopefully at a full speed, healthy status."
We would still consider Jernigan highly questionable this week against Western Kentucky. But he would be a big boost to fantasy owners if he makes it back for a week 13 game against Louisiana-Lafayette.

 Jerrel Jernigan - WROct. 31 - 2:00 pm et
Troy wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan had knee surgery on Tuesday, and the talented play maker will be out indefinitely.
Jernigan's 578 receiving yards and five scores will be hard for Troy and fantasy owners to replace.

 Jerrel Jernigan - WROct. 26 - 8:00 pm et
Troy wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan could miss two weeks with a sprained knee suffered Saturday against North Texas. An MRI is scheduled for Monday.
Jernigan has been a steady fantasy performer this year and would be a blow to fantasy owners. The loss also impacts quarterback Levi Brown's fantasy potential.

 Tanner Jones - QBOct. 26 - 7:45 pm et
Troy backup quarterback Tanner Jones could be lost for the year with a knee injury. A MRI is scheduled for Monday.
The loss would leave Troy thin at quarterback with Jamie Hampton already out for the year. Levi Brown is the Trojans starter.

 Jamie Hampton - QBOct. 8 - 5:00 pm et
Troy starting quarterback Jamie Hampton will miss the rest of the season with a what appears to be a torn ACL in his left knee. Hampton suffered the injury in the third quarter last night in the win over Florida Atlantic. Hampton will have surgery in about 10 days.
This is a tough break for Hampton and Troy as he was starting to emerge as a legitimate threat. The injury could also impact wide receiver Jerrel Jernigan, who was Hampton's favorite target.

 Jamie Hampton - QBJul. 3 - 8:51 pm et
Troy's Jamie Hampton is our 61st rated fantasy quarterback for the 2008 season.
Hampton has the difficult task of replacing Omar Haugabook who accounted for 30 total touchdowns in 2007. Hampton seems poised to led Troy through the air throwing for 327 yards and four scores in the spring game. Like his predecessor, Hampton can also move in the pocket and beat you with his legs. Hampton is certainly a leap of faith selection. One that could payoff huge dividends.
 Omar Haugabook - QBNov. 23 - 9:11 am et
Troy quarterback Omar Haugabook ran for two scores and threw for another while totaling 258 yards.
Troy had little difficulty with Middle Tennessee and now Haugabook has 31 scores on the season.

 Omar Haugabook - QBNov. 1 - 4:53 am et
Omar Haugabook (hamstring) is questionable this week against Georgia.
Omar has been one of the most consistent quarterbacks in 2007. Given his injury status and his opponent (Georgia) we would sit Omar this week.

 Omar Haugabook - QBOct. 20 - 9:04 pm et
Troy quarterback Omar Haugabook threw for 287 yards and three scores, but he also threw four picks.
Fortunately for Troy the seven turnovers didn't cost them against a bad North Texas squad. Haugabook will continue to put up good numbers all season.
