Jerrod Johnson

Feb. 8 - 10:15 pm et
The Sporting News' Tom Dienhart reports that former Louisville head coach Steve Kragthorpe is expected to interview with Texas A&M regarding an offensive assistant job.
Things certainly didn't go well for Kragthorpe during his three-year stint at Louisville, however he built a solid reputation prior to his time at Papa John's, and he's be a nice addition to Mike Sherman's staff.

Jan. 16 - 12:15 am et
Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller was arrested over the holidays for "consumption of alcohol by a minor." He posted bond and the Aggie powers-that-be have begun "looking into it."
Fuller is expected to be one of the nation's top wide receivers heading into 2010, though he'll need to make some better decisions moving forward.

Dec. 7 - 11:00 am et
Texas A&M will play Georgia in the Advocare V100 Independence Bowl on Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.
Georgia's offense has struggled at times, but wide receiver A.J. Green, assuming he returns from a shoulder injury, has a solid matchup against the Aggie pass defense that ranks 111th in the country. Quarterback Jerrod Johnson and wide receiver Jeff Fuller are also good fantasy options is this game.

Nov. 27 - 10:30 am et
Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson had 342 yards and four touchdowns on 26-of-33 passing and rushed for 97 yards on 14 carries in their 49-39 loss to rival Texas on Thursday.
Johnson distributed the ball to nine different receivers, with Jeff Fuller acting as his primary target. Fuller ended the night with six receptions for 132 yards and three touchdowns. Don't be surprised to see Fuller at the top of our wide receiver rankings for 2010.

Nov. 1 - 7:45 pm et
Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson threw for 234 yards and three touchdowns on an impressive 23-of-28 passing in Saturday's win over Iowa State. Johnson also ran for 33 yards and another score in the game.
Johnson's passing game was complimented with another solid rush attack. Cyrus Gray had 21 carries for 119 yards, and Christine Michael added 63 yards and a touchdown on 10 touches. The Aggies ended the day with 501 yards of total offense.

Oct. 30 - 5:30 pm et
Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller is listed as a starter in Texas A&M's depth chart this week.
Fuller played a few snaps last week against Texas Tech and registered one catch. He is still not back to 100 percent though, so you may want to see how much his workload increases this week before inserting him into your fantasy roster. This is an encouraging sign, however.

Oct. 29 - 12:45 pm et
Texas A&M Jeff Fuller was back on the field last week in a limited capacity. Fuller caught one pass for 12 yards.
Fuller is not yet back up to full speed, but watch him closely as he is one of the top wide receivers in college football.

Oct. 25 - 1:15 am et
Texas A&M running backs Cyrus Gray and Christine Michael combined for five rushing touchdowns in Saturdays road-victory over Texas Tech, 52-30. Gray had three touchdowns and 131 yards on 25 carries and four receptions for 41 yards and a score in the game.
To compliment Gray's four total touchdowns, Christine Michael ended the night with 121 yards and two touchdowns on 25 carries.

Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman said that wide receiver Jeff Fuller (broken fibula) might play Saturday against Texas Tech.
Even if Fuller does come back, you can't expect him to be at full speed. However, it will be a good sign for future weeks if Fuller can get a few reps in this week.

Wide receiver Jeff Fuller is not listed on Texas A&M's depth chart for Saturday's game against Texas Tech.
Fuller has been back practicing with the team in a limited capacity the last two weeks. All eyes will be on Fuller when he does return from a broken fibula suffered in week three against Utah State.

Oct. 21 - 2:00 pm et
Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller (broken fibula) has been practicing the last two weeks and could play this week against Texas Tech.
There seems to be a plan to get Fuller ready for this big divisional matchup. We would hold off on playing Fuller this week in fantasy leagues, but this is a good sign for the future.

Oct. 13 - 5:15 pm et
Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller (broken leg) has been cleared for practice. "He's going to practice with us this week so we'll have to wait and see," coach Mike Sherman said about his status this Saturday against Kansas State. "Even with practice, Jeff has always been a guy that like his reps in practice; it may take a little while to get him going."
Regardless of whether or not he plays this week, this is big news for the Aggies. There is no telling what kind of numbers he would be posting the way quarterback Jerod Johnson has been playing. Fuller is a stud and if for some reason he is available on the waiver wire, you should pick up him.

Oct. 10 - 11:00 pm et
Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson continued his streak of consecutive passes without an interception to 228, a Big 12 record. Johnson was 22 of 42 for 273 yards and three touchdowns against Oklahoma State.
Johnson's target of choice was freshman wide receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu, who ended the afternoon with eight receptions for 141 yards and a touchdown.

Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson amassed 345 yards and two touchdowns on 30 of 58 passing in Saturday's 47-19 loss to Arkansas, their first of the season.
Wide receiver Brandal Jackson ended up with four receptions for 118 yards and a touchdown and Ryan Tannehill also caught a scoring strike and gained 66 yards. Johnson threw to eight different receivers in the game.

Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson threw for three touchdowns and 290 yards on 23 of 29 passing against UAB. He also added 61 yards and scored three more times on the ground in the game.
This six touchdown effort tied a Texas A&M quarterback record. The Aggies leading receiver was Ryan Tannehill, who had 101 yards and a touchdown on three receptions. One might remember that Tannehill was Johnson's quarterback competition going into the fall.

Sep. 22 - 11:15 am et
Texas A&M coach Mike Sherman still talks of Ryan Tannehill as his backup quarterback. "You have to really appreciate and see Ryan practice to realize he is a quarterback," Sherman said. "He keeps making plays at receiver, from the outside looking in and even from my standpoint, and he's equally adept at both."
It is difficult for us to imagine Sherman not giving Tannehill, who has 8 receptions on the year, more reps at wide receiver now that Jeff Fuller is out. But, we've been befuddled by this situation from the get-go. In an earlier interview Sherman said Terrence McCoy, Brandal Jackson and Kenric McNeal will need to step up in Fuller's absence. We assume Uzoma Nwachukwu is heavily in the mix as well.

Texas A&M quarterback Jerrod Johnson was 21 of 41 for 322 yards and four touchdowns in Saturday's 38-30 victory over Utah State.

Texas A&M wide receiver Jeff Fuller suffered a suffered a cracked fibula in his right leg and is out indefinitely.
Freshman receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu stepped up in Fuller's absence, catching three touchdowns and running for an additional score. With UAB on tap in week four, Nwachukwu looks to be a good fantasy start.

Ryan Tannehill
- QB
Sep. 17 - 11:45 pm et
Because of his status as the number two quarterback for Texas A&M, Ryan Tannehill is seeing his reps at wide receiver cut down. And coach Mike Sherman tells the Houston Chronicle that he's not sure how much Tannehill will play at wide receiver this week against Utah State.
Sherman is trying to play his top receiver and keep his #2 quarterback healthy. And because the same person plays these roles, Tannehill is one to avoid from a fantasy perspective.

Sep. 6 - 1:15 pm et
Quarterback Jerrod Johnson passed for 349 yards and two touchdowns, also adding another rushing score in Texas A&M's 41-6 victory over New Mexico.
After the fall's quarterback competition with Ryan Tannehill, it appears that coach Mike Sherman tapped the right man for the job. Johnson directed the offense efficiently and the Aggies gained over 600 yards of offense in the game. Another highlight for A&M came in the form of freshman Chrisine Michael, who added 93 rushing yards and a score against New Mexico.
