 Brad McGuire - QBOct. 29 - 2:00 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Brad McGuire (foot) and  tight end Ladarius Green (neck) did not practice on Tuesday.  Both are considered questionable this week against Florida International.
While they have yet to find the end zone, the Cajuns like to throw to the tight ends.  Luke Aubrey is an option if you are desperate.

 Chris Masson - QBSep. 29 - 12:45 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette coach Rickey Bustle plans to stick with Chris Masson at quarterback.
Masson, who injured his knee last week against Nebraska, has a week to rest before playing North Texas on Oct. 10.

 Brad McGuire - QBJul. 6 - 5:00 pm et
The starting quarterback position is still up for grabs at Louisiana-Monroe. Brad McGuire and Chris Mason are the two contenders to replace Michael Desormeaux.
We've got McGuire penciled in as the starter, but the eraser is standing by.

 Brad McGuire - QBApr. 13 - 12:30 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette head coach Rickey Bustle told Joshua Parrott of The Advertiser that sophomore quarterback Brad McGuire would start over Chris Masson if the season started today.
Of course wise fantasy owners know that sadly, the season does not start today. McGuire and Masson are nearly neck and neck in this competition, one that will certainly carry over into the fall.

 Brad McGuire - QBApr. 11 - 9:15 am et
Louisiana Lafayette quarterback Brad McGuire is expected to have surgery to repair a sport hernia in the next two weeks.
McGuire is projected to be the Cajuns starting quarterback this fall. However, sports hernias are tricky business and we'll need to watch this closely.

 Brad McGuire - QBMar. 19 - 11:00 am et
Rising Louisiana-Lafayette sophomore quarterback Brad McGuire, the anticipated heir apparent to Michael Desormeaux, will likely operate in an offense that features fewer quarterback runs and more vertical passes.
McGuire doesn't have the wheels of Desormeaux, but he is a more accurate passer with a stronger arm. Though the Cajuns will still be a team that likes to run the ball often, look for the running backs to do the great majority of the grunt work. McGuire will eventually be an intriguing fantasy prospect, though 2009 may be a bit too soon.

 Brad McGuire - QBMar. 12 - 12:00 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette head coach Rickey Bustle said that rising sophomore quarterback Brad McGuire has an early edge in the race to replace Michael Desormeaux, though Chris Masson will certainly be a factor.
McGuire did a nice job in limited duty during the 2008 season, and he may eventually become a decent fantasy option, though we'll take a wait and see approach to the 2009 season.

 Lance Kelley - WRMar. 12 - 8:15 am et
Louisiana-Lafayette wide receiver Lance Kelley is being moved to free safety this spring.
Lance Kelley caught two balls for five yards in 2008, so fantasy owners will need to look elsewhere for their wide receiver production.

 Brad McGuire - QBMar. 2 - 2:15 pm et
It appears that Brad McGuire and Chris Masson are the prime candidates to emerge as the starting quarterback for the Rajin' Cajuns this spring.
McGuire and Masson will look to replace Michael Desormeaux. However neither should garner much attention on draft day. Wait until a starter is named, and then spend a free agent pick if the performance warrants such a move.

 Julian Shankle - RBMar. 2 - 1:45 pm et
As Louisiana-Lafayette kicks off spring ball it's clear that the race to try and replace the departed Tyrell Fenroy is wide open.
It appears from comments by running backs coach Brian Jenkins that the team is looking for one guy to seize the role. Sophomore Julian Shankle appears to have a head start, but he'll be joined in the competition by Undrea Sails, Matt Dupre, Draylon Booker, Yobes Walker and Ian Roberts.

 Michael Desormeaux - QBDec. 4 - 3:00 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette Michael Desormeaux and Tyrell Fenroy became the first quarterback and running back duo to rush for over 1000 yards each in back-to-back seasons. The pair accomplished the feat after Desormeaux rushed for 42 yards in the win over Middle Tennessee State Tuesday night. Desormeaux finishes the season with 1035 yards rushing and Fenroy finishes with 1376 yards rushing.
With the win, ULL finishes with a 6-6 record, making them bowl eligible. However, the Sun Belt has only one guaranteed bowl tie with the New Orleans bowl. ULL will need help from the other conferences' inability to fill their bowl slots to receive a bowl bid.
 Tyrell Fenroy - RBDec. 3 - 4:45 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette's Tyrell Fenroy and Mike Desormeaux can set an NCAA record by becoming the first running back and quarterback tandem to each have back-to-back seasons with 1000 yards rushing. Desormeaux needs just 7 yards rushing tonight against Middle Tennessee State to see this feat accomplished.
Both Fenroy (shoulder) and Desormeaux (knee) have been banged up recently. There have been no updates on their injury status or reports that suggest they won't play tonight. They are coming of a bye week, which should have helped the duo rest their ailments.
 Tyrell Fenroy - RBNov. 24 - 2:15 pm et
Running back Tyrell Fenroy suffered a shoulder injury in Louisiana-Lafayette's loss to Troy last Saturday. Fenroy only managed 23 yards on 10 carries.
Fenroy has been nursing a sore shoulder for the past few weeks. No word on his status for Louisiana-Lafayette's season finale against Middle Tennessee State on Dec. 3rd.

 Michael Desormeaux - QBNov. 16 - 7:15 pm et
Down 33-7 midway through the third quarter to Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Michael Desormeaux was given the rest of the night off to rest his ailing knee.
Desormeaux's rushing ability has been hampered due to a sore knee for the last three weeks. Desormeaux is probably not a good start this week against Troy.

 Tyrell Fenroy - RBNov. 14 - 3:45 pm et
Running back Tyrell Fenroy has been nursing a shoulder bruise. Fenroy sat out Louisiana-Lafayette's practice on Sunday, but did practice later in the week.
The injury is a minor concern, but not enough to keep the Doak Walker Award semifinalist out of your fantasy lineup this week against Florida Atlantic.

 Jason Chery - WRNov. 14 - 3:45 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette wide receiver Jason Chery is looking to get more involved in the Ragin' Cajuns' offense Saturday against Florida Atlantic. "We've put some new things in to get me more involved," Chery said. "I don't want for them to be able to key so much on Mike (Desormeaux) or (Tyrell) Fenroy."
Chery's numbers have cooled off as of late, but he is still worth a fantasy start as a WR2/3 this week.

 Michael Desormeaux - QBNov. 14 - 3:45 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Michael Desormeaux is still still not 100% after sustaining a knee injury against North Texas in week seven.
The injury limits Desormeaux's running game, an area he usually excels at. With Desormeaux still hobbled, redshirt freshman Brad McGuire may see a few snaps at quarterback this week against Florida Atlantic.

 Michael Desormeaux - QBOct. 28 - 4:00 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Michael Desormeaux (sprained right knee) should be a go this weekend against Florida International.
Desormeaux and wide receiver Jason Chery should be top 25 fantasy options this week.

 Michael Desormeaux - QBOct. 14 - 3:00 pm et
Louisiana-Lafayette quarterback Michael Desormeaux suffered a sprained knee last week against North Texas and is questionable this week against Arkansas State.
Desormeaux is one of the top dual threat quarterbacks from the mid-major conferences. If he can't go it will be tough break for the Cajuns as they take on the Indians in a battle for the top spot in the Sun Belt conference.

 Jason Chery - WROct. 12 - 1:00 pm et
Wide receiver Jason Chery was a perfect with three catches, all for touchdowns against North Texas. Chery also added one on the ground.
Chery has scored at least once in the last four games. If he's still available, he's definitely worth a pickup in your fantasy league.
