 Chris Polk - RBFeb. 8 - 11:00 pm et
ESPN's Ted Miller likes Washington incoming running back Deontae Cooper's chances of seeing early playing time. Especially since Cooper is on campus, and starter Chris Polk (shoulder surgery) will sit out spring.
One of Cooper's biggest attributes is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.  And backs that can do more than run will see the field early.

 Willie Griffin - RBJan. 21 - 11:00 am et
Washington running back Willie Griffin has decided to transfer.
Griffin was stuck behind Chris Polk and a host of other backs.

 Ronnie Fouch - QBJan. 19 - 9:00 am et
Washington backup quarterback Ronnie Fouch is transferring to Indiana State.
With Fouch out of the picture, we are sure to hear plenty about incoming recruit Nick Montana (son of NFL great Joe Montana) and the possibility of him leading the Huskies in 2011.

 Jake Locker - QBJan. 10 - 10:30 pm et
The Los Angeles Daily News reports that USC contacted Washington coach (and former Trojan assistant) Steve Sarkisian to see if he'd be interested in their coaching job should Pete Carroll do what everyone expects and take over the Seattle Seahawks.
No surprise that USC contacted Sarkisian, and no surprise that Sarkisian isn't interested in leaving Seattle after just one season.

 Chris Polk - RBJan. 9 - 10:45 am et
Washington running back Chris Polk will miss spring ball after having shoulder surgery.
Polk became a star in 2009 with nearly 1300 yards from scrimmage and five scores, and his healthy return will be pivotal as Washington looks to improve upon their resurgence of last season.

 Jake Locker - QBDec. 15 - 11:00 am et
Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports that Washington quarterback Jake Locker told his coaching staff that he's staying in school.
Great news for Husky fans and Locker fantasy owners. Pop the champagne-type news for Steve Sarkisian and the rest of the UW coaching staff.

 Jake Locker - QBDec. 8 - 7:15 pm et
Washington junior quarterback Jake Locker submitted paperwork yesterday to the NFL Draft Advisory Board to have his draft stock evaluated.  Coach Steve Sarkisian says he is "very optimistic" that Locker will return.
Many think that Locker would be the top quarterback in the draft if he comes out early.  There are also those that think Locker could benefit from another year in college where he can continue to work on cutting down on mistakes.

 Jake Locker - QBDec. 6 - 5:00 pm et
Washington quarterback Jake Locker was outstanding against Cal, completing 19 or 23 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns, while adding 77 yards rushing and two more scores on 17 carries.
So this is what Locker is capable of.  Sadly for college owners, this performance may very well have been Locker's last in Seattle, as I think it will catapult him into the NFL Draft.  The watch is officially on for the Huskies, and the fate of all UW players is in the hands of their inconsistently wonderful signal called.

 Jake Locker - QBDec. 3 - 7:15 pm et
Washington quarterback Jake Locker is not talking about whether he will return for his senior year or enter the NFL draft, not even with his dad.  "I know about as much as you do for which way he's leaning," Scott Locker said. "Whenever the conversation has come up, Jake has just said, 'Let's just hang on, let me get through the year and we'll deal with talking about that then.' "
Locker has had an up and down career.  There is no questioning he has the size and tools to be a top quarterback.  And despite his 5:4 touchdown to interception ratio, he is projected as a first round draft pick by most.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 29 - 10:00 am et
Washington quarterback Jake Locker threw for 198 yards, a touchdown and an interception in a win over Washington State.  He also rushed for 94 yards and another score.
Not a bad dual evening for the inconsistent QB, as this was the most rushing yards Locker had all season.  Locker has as much potential as any signal caller in the nation, but never seems to put it together on a regular (fantasy) basis.  We'll see if this was his last time putting on a Husky uniform.

 Chris Polk - RBNov. 28 - 11:30 am et
Washington running back Chris Polk has been battling a shoulder injury all season, but now he is also suffering from migraines.  The migraines have limited him in practice late in the week.
We've seen Polk listed anywhere from doubtful to definitely going to play, so owners are going to have to determine if they want to take the risk.  Polk could have a huge day against a porous Washington State rush defense, or he could be on the bench.

 Chris Polk - RBNov. 26 - 8:15 am et
"It's real painful," Washington Chris Polk said of his ailing right shoulder. "Especially like with blocking. But you really don't feel it running during the game because of all the testosterone. It's after the play that you really feel it. But it's not going to stop me."
Polk and the Huskies are taking on Washington State, who has the worst rushing defense in the BCS.  Despite not being 100 percent, Polk is a solid play this week.

 Chris Polk - RBNov. 25 - 4:30 pm et
Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times writes of Chris Polk and his goal of rushing for 1000 yards this season. 111 yards against Washington State this weekend will make this happen.
We mention this as one would expect the young Husky to maybe run with a little more fire, and against a horrific Cougar defense he's a solid play for those looking for running back help.

 Chris Polk - RBNov. 24 - 9:45 am et
Washington running back Chris Polk wore a red non-contact jersey in practice on Monday due to a sore shoulder, but is expected to start according Bob Condotta of the Seattle Times.
Polk is coming off three straight 100-yard rushing games and has Washington State next.  As long as his shoulder holds up, odds are he'll make it four in a row.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 15 - 8:15 am et
Washington QB Jake Locker threw for three touchdowns and 156 yards in a loss to Oregon State.
Locker has been the ultimate tease this season, showcasing unbelievable talent mixed with questionable decision making.  He'll drive you mad, but is a lot of fun to own when things are going well.  The Huskies aren't going bowling, so if you own Locker, start him just to say you did down the stretch, it may be your last chance.

 Chris Polk - RBNov. 15 - 8:15 am et
Washington running back Chris Polk rushed for 116 yards on 19 carries in a loss to Oregon State.
Polk failed to score, which has been the norm this season.  Still, in an inconsistent offensive season for the Huskies, Polk has been steady.  If next week's bye doesn't matter, consider Polk a great start in the Apple Cup against Washington State.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 6 - 12:45 pm et
Washington quarterback Jake Locker (thigh bruise) will start on Saturday against UCLA.
Locker's touchdown production (15 total TDs) has been solid, but not spectacular this season, making him a fantasy start only if your main starters are on a bye or injured.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 4 - 6:45 pm et
Washington coach Steve Sarkisian is "optimistic" that quarterback Jake Locker will be able to play this weekend against UCLA.
Locker is a solid starting option nationally, but a much better start in Pac-10 leagues.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 3 - 5:30 pm et
Bob Condotta of The Seattle Times reports that Washington quarterback Jake Locker may now be a "game-time decision" for this week's contest with UCLA.
For many players "game-time" decision means a 50-50 proposition. For someone like Jake Locker it seems to mean he'll find a way to play the game, no matter what.

 Jake Locker - QBNov. 3 - 3:15 am et
Washington quarterback Jake Locker (thigh bruise) told The Seattle Times that he "should be ready to go" for Saturday's game against UCLA.
Expect Locker to be out there leading the Huskies, and he's a good start for those in leagues that feature the Pac-10.
