In three Bud Shootouts, the Target car has never placed outside the top-20; this will mark Juan Pablo Montoya’s first appearance in the Bud Shootout.
In his 11 Superspeedway starts, Montoya has never finished outside the top-20 with two top-fives, five top-10s, and eight top-15s. The Target Chevy last appeared in the Bud Shootout in 2008 driven by Reed Sorenson when he drove to a fifth place finish. The Target team will run a reverse Target paint scheme for their appearance in the Bud Shootout. The white car will be decaled with red logo’s to add additional flare to Montoya’s first appearance in the show.

Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced today that it has partnered with Dinan-BMW as the new manufacturer of its 2010 Daytona Prototype and its longtime partner TELMEX will once again return as the primary sponsor of the No.01 with co-drivers Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas.
In addition, CGRFS will again run a two-car effort for the Rolex 24 At Daytona, featuring eight drivers. Pruett and Rojas will unite with IZOD IndyCar driver Justin Wilson and American Le Mans Series driver Marino Franchitti to form the lineup in the No. 01 TELMEX/Target Dinan-BMW Riley, while Team Target IndyCar pilots Scott Dixon and Dario Franchitti will join Team Target NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Juan Pablo Montoya and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates teammate Jamie McMurray in the No. 02 Target/TELMEX Dinan-BMW Riley.

Earnhardt Ganassi Racing's Juan Pablo Montoya has been awarded the Mobil 1 Command Performance Award.
The award is given to the winner of each race or the next highest finishing eligible competitor. Montoya received the award in Las Vegas yesterday evening, as part of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Championship Awards Ceremony being held in Las Vegas for the first time. He was presented with a trophy and check for $100,000.

Juan Pablo Montoya was winless and had brushes with winning races in the 2009 pre-Chase season.
But Montoya still earned a tremendous amount of respect with his seven top-fives, 18 top-10s and appearance in the Chase. Much more will be expected from Montoya in 2010 -- and 2009 was no fluke. -NASCAR PR

Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS start at Phoenix International Raceway this weekend.
Montoya has an average starting position of 22.2 and an average finishing position of 21.4. He has completed 99.7% of the laps run at the one-mile track. His best finish at Phoenix came in the spring 2008 race where he finished 16th. -Earnhardt Ganassi Racing

Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS start at Texas Motor Speedway this weekend where he has an average starting position of 14.4 and an average finishing position of 20.4.
His best finish at Texas came in the spring race earlier this year where he finished 7th. Montoya will drive the same chassis he drove at Indy where he led 116 laps and had a win in sight until a late race penalty eliminated his chances (11th). -Earnhardt Ganassi Racing

Juan Pablo Montoya makes his sixth NSCS start at Talladega Superspeedway this weekend.
He has an average start of 17.2 and an average finish of 18.6. He has completed 97.7% of the laps and has led 17 laps. His best finish at Talladega came in the spring 2008 race where he finished in the runner-up position and garnered his only top-five finish at the superspeedway. Talladega also marks the first place Montoya won a pole in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series which occurred in the spring. -Earnhardt Ganassi Racing

Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS start at Martinsville Speedway this weekend.
He has an average starting position of 23.4 and an average finishing position of 12th. He has completed 100% of the laps and has led nine laps. His best finish at Martinsville came in the fall 2007 race where he finished eighth. Montoya has never finished worse than 16th at the half-mile facility.

Juan Pablo Montoya takes the biggest hit in the 2009 Chase standings after the October 17th Sprint Cup NASCAR Banking 500 at Lowe’s Motor Speedway.
Montoya started the No. 42 Lysol Chevrolet 18th in the lineup for Saturday night’s race. He was running near the front for most of the first 160 laps but suffered some damage on a restart. He then spun a few laps later and had to repair the damaged rear quarter panel. His race ended with a 35th place finish, 4 laps down to the leaders. He dropped 3 spots to 6th in the 12-driver Chase standings.

Juan Pablo Montoya will be making his sixth NSCS start at Lowe’s Motor Speedway this weekend.
This marks the fifth race of the Chase. Montoya has an average starting position of 26.2 and an average finishing position of 27.4 in his five prior NSCS starts. Juan Pablo Montoya wins the Mobil 1 Command Performance Driver of the Race award in Fontana.
The award ($5,000) is given to the winner of the race or the next-highest finishing driver displaying the Mobil 1 decal. Montoya earned the award for his 3rd place finish in the Sprint Cup Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway. The driver of the No. 42 Target Chevrolet is currently 3rd in the 2009 Sprint Cup point standings after this race.

Juan Pablo Montoya leads the first practice for the October 11th Sprint Cup Pepsi 500 at Auto Club Speedway.
Montoya’s lap of 183.556 mph in the No. 42 Target Chevrolet was the quickest of the 45 cars out on the track for the first practice leading to Sunday’s race. No. 48 Jimmie Johnson, No. 5 Mark Martin, No. 6 David Ragan and No. 12 David Stremme were the rest of the top 5 on the speed chart. No. 64 Mike Wallace, at 176.250 mph, was the slowest.

The $5,900 award is presented to the crew chief of the driver who demonstrates the best qualifying and race effort as determined by averaging the sum of their qualifying and race finish for each event. Montoya qualified 2nd and finished 4th. He moved up 1 spot to 3rd in the 2009 Sprint Cup point standings after this race.

The No. 42 Target Chevrolet driver started on the pole, led the most laps (105 of 300) to earn the WIX "Lap Leader" award. Montoya finished 3rd. He move up 7 spots to 4th in the 2009 Sprint Cup point standings after this race.

Juan Pablo Montoya wins the Coors Light Pole Award for the Sylvania 300 with a lap of 28.545 seconds, 133.431 mph setting a new track record.
This is the No. 42 Target Chevrolet driver's second pole in 100 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. It is his 11th top-10 start in 2009. This is Montoya's first pole in six races at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
