 Laveranues Coles - WRNov. 20 - 3:56 pm et
Laveranues Coles (head, probable) practiced in full Friday.
Coles will face the Raiders, but isn't a recommended fantasy play.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 20 - 3:54 pm et
Cedric Benson (hip) is officially listed as doubtful for Week 11.
Benson missed his third straight practice Friday and will be among the Bengals' inactives at Oakland. Rookie Bernard Scott will draw the start.

 Keith Rivers - LBNov. 20 - 12:05 pm et
Bengals WLB Keith Rivers (calf) is not expected to play in Week 11.
Rivers was unable to practice all week, so his status for Week 12 is also up in the air. Brandon Johnson will start on the weak side at the Raiders. The Bengals' No. 2 overall run defense has not fallen off with Rivers out. They held Rashard Mendenhall to 36 rushing yards on 13 carries last Sunday.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 20 - 12:03 pm et
Cedric Benson (hip) missed Bengals practice again on Friday.
This is a near-certain sign that Benson won't be active at Oakland, and he may not even make the trip. Bernard Scott will start in the favorable matchup.

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 20 - 11:34 am et
Larry Johnson admitted Friday that he won't see much playing time against the Raiders even if Cedric Benson (hip) sits out.
"They have Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard," said Johnson. "It will be moved around a little bit. I wouldn’t expect me to get a heavy load." We expect Scott to see the most touches, making him a viable RB2/flex against a poor Raiders run defense.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 20 - 10:24 am et
Cedric Benson (hip) said Friday morning that he remains a game-day decision for this Sunday.
Benson has yet to practice this week, and signs are pointing toward the Bengals holding their workhorse out in a game that should come easily with Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard holding down the fort. Larry Johnson says he's playing Sunday but doesn't know how much. We expect it to be very little. Check back Friday afternoon for an official update on Benson's status.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 19 - 4:29 pm et
According to NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora, Cedric Benson (hip) is unlikely to play against the Raiders this week after missing a second straight practice Thursday.
Benson's teammates have also said they would be surprised if he plays. LaCanfora's source says Larry Johnson has received plenty of practice reps and could see a "significant role" at Oakland. We remain skeptical that LJ will have much of an impact and believe that Bernard Scott is the back to start in fantasy leagues as a RB2/flex this week.

 Laveranues Coles - WRNov. 19 - 4:04 pm et
Laveranues Coles was added to the Bengals injury report Thursday as limited with a head injury.
Coles is banged up, but he's not expected to miss this week's game at Oakland. While he does have 11 catches in his last two games, Coles is a weak WR3 option on Sunday.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 19 - 1:21 pm et
Cedric Benson (hip) was not dressed for practice Thursday.
Bengals players that don't practice on Wednesday and Thursday usually don't play on Sunday, but an exception could be made for Benson. Still, at this point it tentatively looks like Bernard Scott will start against the Raiders, Brian Leonard will spell him and Larry Johnson will be active only in case of emergency. Be sure to check the final injury report Friday.

 Bernard Scott - RBNov. 19 - 10:58 am et
Bengals offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski said that he will give Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard more carries even when Cedric Benson (hip) gets back in the lineup.
"It's obvious the wear and tear had a little effect on him (Benson), so we will spell him with Brian and Bernard," Bratkowski said. Maybe the Bengals should have thought of that before they gave him 24.7 carries per game over the first eight games.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 19 - 10:53 am et
Cedric Benson did not sound thrilled Wednesday when asked about the Bengals' acquisition of Larry Johnson.
"I didn't know I was supposed to be jumping out of my seat or anything. I really have no feelings about it," Benson said. This kind of stuff got Benson in trouble in Chicago, where he could never co-exist with Thomas Jones. Still, Benson is the clear starter in this case and Johnson will likely be inactive as long as CedBen is healthy.

 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 18 - 1:42 pm et
Cedric Benson (hip) was held out of Bengals practice Wednesday.
However, coach Marvin Lewis stressed that Benson is "healing fast," and that he isn't ruled out for the team's Week 11 matchup at Oakland. If Benson can't play, Bernard Scott will start with Brian Leonard as the "change of pace."

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 17 - 8:25 pm et
Larry Johnson says his goal is to play in the Bengals' Week 16 game, when they take on his former team, the Chiefs.
"I'd be lying if I said I ain't looking at that game as a game I want to definitely play in," Johnson said. "It'd be the best Christmas gift I can get." L.J. admitted that he'd prefer to be active "right now," but he probably won't get a carry in Week 11 at the Raiders even if Cedric Benson (hip) sits out.

 Chase Coffman - TENov. 17 - 8:21 pm et
Bengals rookie TE Chase Coffman has yet to be active for a single game in his first season.
Starter John Paul Foschi has just 13 catches for 120 yards and a TD on the season, but Coffman can't even dress on game days. He's essentially the No. 4 tight end behind Foschi, Dan Coats, and long snapper Clark Harris.

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 17 - 6:03 pm et
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis said Tuesday that Larry Johnson could suit up this week if Cedric Benson's hip injury keeps him out of the lineup.
"I'm not saying that it can't happen, I'm not saying that it will happen, but stay tuned," Lewis said. Even if Johnson is active, he's not likely to have an impact. The Bengals prefer Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard, and they've made it clear that LJ is nothing more than fourth-string injury insurance.

 Joey Galloway - WRNov. 17 - 5:25 pm et
The Bengals worked out free agent WR Joey Galloway, DT Ed Johnson, and S Mike Doss on Tuesday.
If signed, Galloway would ostensibly fill Chris Henry's role on offense. Unfortunately, he no longer has Henry's talent. Johnson was effective in September, but the Colts cut him when he fell out of shape by mid-season.

 Antonio Chatman - WRNov. 17 - 4:06 pm et
Bengals released WR Antonio Chatman.
Chatman had been on injured reserve with a leg injury. He's had trouble staying healthy for the past couple of years and will struggle to find another opportunity going forward.
 Ben Utecht - TENov. 17 - 4:04 pm et
Bengals released TE Ben Utecht.
Utecht is out for the season after suffering a series of concussions during training camp. He has a long history of concussions and may never play football again.
 Cedric Benson - RBNov. 17 - 3:51 pm et
Cedric Benson (hip) admits he might miss this week's game at Oakland, but he says there's no doubt he'll be able to play the week after against the Browns.
"It's not a major thing," Benson said. "It may take one week to get ready, but not two. Hopefully I'll be ready this Sunday." Benson also predicted that he's "running all the way to Miami and the Super Bowl" once the abductor strain finally heals. He added that he doesn't see Larry Johnson as any type of threat and welcomes the signing, as it will only make him work harder.

 Orien Harris - DLNov. 17 - 1:23 pm et
Bengals released DT Orien Harris.
Larry Johnson has already upset one man in the Bengals locker room -- Harris. Expect the underachieving defensive tackle to pop up somewhere else before the season is done.
