 Jacoby Jones - WRNov. 20 - 2:23 pm et
Texans WR/KR Jacoby Jones (calf) was limited to special teams work in Friday's practice and is questionable for Week 11.
Jones will likely only return kicks and punts if he's active on Monday Night Football. Andre' Davis and David Anderson would then fill in at third receiver.

 James Casey - TENov. 19 - 5:11 pm et
Texans TE James Casey (knee surgery) has resumed practicing in full.
"He didn't miss anything today," coach Gary Kubiak said. "There have been no setbacks. He’s done a heckuva job to get back that fast." We expect Casey to take over as the primary pass-catching tight end, but it's advisable to hold off on starting him in fantasy leagues until he proves worthy.

 Jacoby Jones - WRNov. 19 - 2:05 pm et
Jacoby Jones (calf) was "very limited" in Thursday's practice.
Coach Gary Kubiak deemed Jones day-to-day and said Glenn Martinez would fill in on punt returns if necessary. Jones has an extra day to get ready with the Texans playing on Monday night.

 Jesse Nading - DLNov. 17 - 7:35 pm et
Texans waived DE Jesse Nading.
Nading will head back to the practice squad once he clears waivers.
 Arian Foster - RBNov. 17 - 7:33 pm et
Texans activated RB Arian Foster from the practice squad.
This is a situation worth watching. Foster may initially see time on special teams, but coach Gary Kubiak made it clear that he wants to see more of the rookie on offense. Foster was considered an early-round prospect before an injury-plagued senior season at Tennessee. If the current trio can't improve their fumbling issues and 3.4 YPC, Foster could get a shot later on.

 Jacoby Jones - WRNov. 17 - 7:19 pm et
Jacoby Jones (calf) missed practice again Tuesday.
The injury comes at a bad time for Jones, who was starting to see more action on offense. He has an extra day to get ready for the Monday night game, so he could return to practice later this week.

 Steve Slaton - RBNov. 17 - 5:14 pm et
Steve Slaton has begun watching tapes of former Giants RB Tiki Barber in hopes of solving his fumbling problems.
Slaton has fumbled the ball an NFL-high eight times this season, though coach Gary Kubiak has lauded him for his work ethic. "For us to play well in the next seven weeks, Steve will have to be a big part of that," said Kubiak. Slaton will have to prove that he can hold onto the football before he gets his starting job back.

 Arian Foster - RBNov. 17 - 5:11 pm et
Rookie practice squad RB Arian Foster saw an increase in practice reps Tuesday, and the Texans are considering activating him this week.
"We got him a look," said coach Gary Kubiak. "We had some questions there of possibly making a move with him and getting him involved." If Steve Slaton, Ryan Moats, and Chris Brown continue to struggle, Foster could get a look down the stretch. He's worth a stash in deep Dynasty leagues.

 Jacoby Jones - WRNov. 17 - 10:41 am et
Jacoby Jones missed Monday's practice due to swelling in his calf.
Jones' calf was sore coming out of Week 9, but it wasn't a concern as the Texans headed into their bye. The calf worsened during Jones' time off, so he's getting it checked out now. We'd be surprised if it kept him out of Monday night's game against the Titans, but check the injury reports this week.

 James Casey - TENov. 17 - 10:33 am et
Texans coach Gary Kubiak said TE James Casey will "become a big part of what we're doing over the next seven games."
Casey is expected to return from knee surgery for Monday night's game against the Titans. The rookie will come off the bench behind Joel Dreessen, but is worth monitoring as a deep sleeper down the stretch. We all know about the role that Owen Daniels had in this offense before he went down.

 James Casey - TENov. 16 - 12:08 pm et
Texans TE James Casey (knee) returned to practice Monday on a limited basis.
The fifth-round rookie will have a chance to see significant action with Owen Daniels (torn ACL) out for the season. Casey has more upside as a receiver than Joel Dreessen, but isn't worth an add in shallow leagues yet.

 Matt Schaub - QBNov. 11 - 10:24 am et
Matt Schaub leads the NFL in passing attempts with 326.
Schaub will get passed in that category by a few guys as the Texans finally have their bye this week, but balance is certainly an issue for the Texans. Coach Gary Kubiak said he doesn't like Schaub throwing so much, but "it's given us the best chance to move the ball." That shouldn't change, so don't expect Schaub's pace to fall off. He's the No. 2 fantasy quarterback right now.

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 10 - 10:27 pm et
Texans GM Rick Smith confirmed Tuesday that the team will not pursue free agent Larry Johnson.
"We took all the factors into consideration — football, off-the-field issues, and we determined that it wasn't a good fit for us at this time," Smith said. "We've got confidence in our backs." It's a bad sign when a team with the No. 27 rushing offense passes on such a big-name running back. The Steelers and Bears also are believed to have bowed out of the L.J. "sweepstakes."

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 10 - 9:22 pm et
ESPN's Adam Schefter is standing by his report that free agent Larry Johnson will not be a Houston Texan.
"Larry Johnson has as much chance of playing for the Texans as I do," he said in an email to Gregg Rosenthal. Schefter and NFL Network's Jason La Canfora have made conflicting reports, with La Canfora saying Houston is seriously pursuing L.J.

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 10 - 7:38 pm et
The Bears and Steelers have decided against pursuing free agent Larry Johnson, according to NFL Network's Jason La Canfora.
The Bears have been without a reliable backup ever since Kevin Jones was lost for the season. Despite an earlier report to the contrary, La Canfora says the Texans "appear to be Johnson's most likely landing spot." Houston owner Bob McNair said earlier in the day that he didn't want to add a player who "might be a disruptive force in our locker room."

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 10 - 5:44 pm et
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Texans have been eliminated as a potential landing spot for free agent Larry Johnson.
Coach Gary Kubiak is sticking with Steve Slaton, Ryan Moats, and Chris Brown. Houston was one of the few potential destinations that would have granted LJ fantasy relevance for the rest of the season. We'll likely see reports in the coming days indicating that the Patriots, Redskins, Seahawks, Eagles and Steelers are also uninterested in adding the troubled back.

 Steve Slaton - RBNov. 10 - 4:52 pm et
Texans coach Gary Kubiak called his backfield situation "a day-to-day deal" Tuesday, reiterating that he'll need all three backs.
"I want to see how Steve responds and comes back from this break. I want to see how Ryan responds and Chris being as fresh as he can be," said Kubiak. For now, we're expecting the Texans to ride the hot hand if one emerges. If not, Moats will work on early downs with Slaton coming on in passing situations.

 Larry Johnson - RBNov. 9 - 4:42 pm et
Coach Gary Kubiak indicated at his Monday press conference that the Texans plan to do their due diligence on waived RB Larry Johnson.
Texans fans are pulling for the team to pursue L.J. "We'll go back and take a look at him just like any other player," Kubiak said. Johnson has a 2.7 YPC average for the year, but has lost just one fumble on 132 carries. The Texans continue to be concerned with their running backs' ball security after Ryan Moats lost a fumble at the goal line in Houston's Week 9 loss.

 Jacoby Jones - WRNov. 8 - 5:01 pm et
Jacoby Jones caught four passes for 67 yards in Week 9.
Jones racked up 45 yards on a single play in the third quarter, plucking a perfect strike out of the air delivered by QB Matt Schaub. He also gained five yards on an end-around. The Texans may begin featuring him regularly opposite Andre Johnson, which would obviously provide a fantasy boost.
 Kevin Walter - WRNov. 8 - 4:53 pm et
Kevin Walter caught five passes for 67 yards in Week 9.
As predicted, Walter became a bigger part of the offense in the absence of Owen Daniels, who's out for the season with a knee injury. He snagged a six-week high five receptions despite going catchless through the whole first half. Houston has a bye in Week 10.
