 Josh Wilson - DBNov. 20 - 3:48 pm et
The Seahawks are expected to be without CB Josh Wilson (concussion) in Week 11 against the Vikings.
It looks like Marcus Trufant will play through his concussion, but Wilson's will keep him out. Wilson had been starting at right corner, where Ken Lucas will now fill in. This is a favorable matchup for the Minnesota passing game.

 John Carlson - TENov. 20 - 11:21 am et
Seahawks coach Jim Mora confirmed that TE John Carlson's role in the passing game is declining.
Carlson has been kept in to block more of late, the Seahawks are starting to use four-wide sets, and they've leaned heavily on the screen game. Carlson will need to pitch in against pass rusher Jared Allen Sunday, so he remains a poor bet as a TE1.

 Matt Hasselbeck - QBNov. 19 - 9:52 am et
Matt Hasselbeck (ribs, shoulder) practiced fully on a Wednesday for the first time since Week 8.
It's a good sign that Hasselbeck is getting healthier as the season goes on. He's thrown for over 300 yards in two straight games as the Seahawks have gone pass heavy. Considering they are facing a tough Vikings' front seven without Julius Jones this week, expect another 35-40 attempts. New starting running back Justin Forsett excels in all facets of the passing game as well.

 Julius Jones - RBNov. 18 - 3:00 pm et
Seahawks coach Jim Mora has ruled out Julius Jones (ribs, lung) for Week 11 at Minnesota.
"He won't be available Sunday," Mora said. "We'll see how he progresses. Hopefully (he'll be back) next week. We have to be careful." Jones is averaging just 3.7 yards per carry and Minnesota ranks sixth in run defense, so he wasn't going to be productive anyway. Justin Forsett will be pulled off returns, but start the game at tailback and try to make a case for a more significant role going forward. Seattle plays the Rams in Week 12.

 Xavier Omon - RBNov. 18 - 12:17 pm et
Seahawks signed RB Xavier Omon to their practice squad.
Omon, the Bills' sixth-round pick in 2007, will be Seattle's No. 3 tailback until Julius Jones (ribs, lung) returns to the lineup. Omon's addition may be an admission from the Seahawks that Jones will miss multiple games.
 Justin Forsett - RBNov. 17 - 12:42 pm et
When asked if Justin Forsett has a carry limit, Seahawks coach Jim Mora said, "Good question. We're going to find out, because he's going to be carrying the ball a lot this week."
Forsett and Louis Rankin will be the primary ball carriers this week, but expect Forsett to get the majority of the work. His 5'8 frame is a concern but he's shifty enough to avoid big hits. He's a flex option even in a tough matchup against the Vikings. Julius Jones (rib, lung) will not play.

 Julius Jones - RBNov. 16 - 5:55 pm et
Updating a previous item, Seahawks coach Jim Mora admitted that Julius Jones (rib, lung) is unlikely to play in Week 11.
"At this point, I’d say it’s unlikely that he’d be cleared to play Sunday," Mora said. Justin Forsett will start at Minnesota, and possibly in Week 12 at St. Louis. Mora also confirmed that Julius has a bruised lung and a potentially cracked rib. Forsett should rank high on waiver add lists this week.

 Julius Jones - RBNov. 16 - 3:38 pm et
Coach Jim Mora said Monday that Julius Jones does not have a broken rib, as initially feared, and the Seahawks expect him to recovery "quickly."
Mora, always overly optimistic about injuries, again put on rose-colored glasses when assessing Jones' status. "It's a bruise causing bleeding in his lungs," he said. "It doesn't appear...real serious. It's serious obviously or he wouldn't be in a hospital, but it's something he'll recover from quickly." Jones is questionable at best for Week 11, and we'd bet against him playing.

 Justin Forsett - RBNov. 16 - 9:07 am et
Seahawks coach Jim Mora said he was "impressed" with what Justin Forsett did in the Week 10 loss to the Cardinals.
Forsett ran for 123 yards after Julius Jones left with a broken rib. "That's what we expect out of him. He's a good little player and he’s got a big heart. He'll give you everything he’s got every time he’s in there," Mora said. There's no official timetable yet on how long Jones will be out, but we're expecting it to be at least a couple games. Add Forsett in all formats.

 Julius Jones - RBNov. 15 - 10:04 pm et
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Julius Jones experienced bleeding in his lung after being hospitalized Sunday.
Jones stayed in the hospital overnight while the rest of the Seahawks traveled back to Seattle. He appears to have suffered a severe injury that will almost certainly keep him out of multiple games. Jones also has a broken rib. Fantasy owners figure to get at least two starts (@ MIN, @ STL) out of Justin Forsett. Change of pace back Louis Rankin will also be involved.

 Julius Jones - RBNov. 15 - 8:42 pm et
Julius Jones suffered a broken rib in Seattle's Week 10 loss to Arizona.
The Seahawks initially said the injury was to Jones' "chest," but beat reporter Danny O'Neil has the exact location. Players can sometimes play through broken ribs with flak jackets, but it would be a stretch to think a running back like Jones could do so a week after the injury. Justin Forsett is a strong bet to start at Minnesota in Week 11, with Louis Rankin spelling him off the bench.

 Louis Rankin - RBNov. 15 - 8:23 pm et
Louis Rankin rushed three times or 24 yards and added three receptions for 24 yards against the Cardinals in Week 10.
Ranking acted as the change-of-pace back for Justin Forsett, showing nifty moves and flashing nice speed on a couple of swing passes. Expect him to play in the same role next week at Minnesota, with Julius Jones (rib) likely to remain sidelined.
 Justin Forsett - RBNov. 15 - 8:20 pm et
Justin Forsett rushed 17 times for 123 yards and one touchdown and added five receptions for 26 yards against the Cardinals in Week 10.
Forsett carried the load after Julius Jones left early with a broken rib. His 11-yard touchdown run capped off a 99-yard drive in the first quarter. Forsett showed an elusiveness previously missing in the Seahawks' backfield, as he made defenders miss all afternoon. While he'll be in the mix for the top waiver grab this week, keep in mind that he has a tough matchup against the Vikings next week.
 John Carlson - TENov. 15 - 8:17 pm et
John Carlson caught one pass for a 31-yard touchdown against the Cardinals in Week 10.
With Deion Branch healthy and rookie Deon Butler playing more in four-wide sets, Carlson was almost an afterthought. He was targeted just one other time after the early score. With just two games over 50 yards this season, Carlson can't be considered a weekly starter.
 Nate Burleson - WRNov. 15 - 8:14 pm et
Nate Burleson was held without a catch against the Cardinals in Week 10.
Chalk one up for Cardinals corner Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie who drew Burleson in coverage. The Seahawks No. 1 receiver was targeted on just five of Matt Hasselbeck's 52 attempts. His best chance for a score came on a short fade route in the end zone, but DRC knocked the ball out of his hands. Burleson will look to bounce back at Minnesota next week.
 T.J. Houshmandzadeh - WRNov. 15 - 8:11 pm et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh caught nine passes for 165 yards against the Cardinals in Week 10.
While Nate Burleson was getting shut out, Housh enjoyed his best game as a Seahawk. Housh made up for his subpar speed with terrific hands and an incredible 17 targets. Not typically a big-play threat, he came through with gains of 53 and 34 yards against Arizona. He'll have a tougher time against the Vikings next week.
 Matt Hasselbeck - QBNov. 15 - 8:07 pm et
Matt Hasselbeck completed 26-of-52 for 315 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions against the Cardinals in Week 10.
Seattle went pass-heavy for a second straight week, and Hasselbeck staked the team to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter. It was a different story in the second half, though, as Hasselbeck was harassed and largely shut down. After a second straight 300-yard performance, he's a borderline QB1 at Minnesota next week.
 Julius Jones - RBNov. 15 - 4:43 pm et
Julius Jones left Sunday's game against the Cardinals with a chest injury in the first quarter.
Jones has missed two straight series after gaining 10 yards on two carries early on. His return is being called "questionable," and Justin Forsett has come on to replace him.
 Mike Teel - QBNov. 15 - 3:13 pm et
Seahawks declared QB Mike Teel, FB Owen Schmitt, S Jamar Adams, OG Mike Gibson, OG Mansfield Wrotto, DT Red Bryant, TE Cameron Morrah, and DE Derek Walker inactive for Week 10 against the Cardinals.
The Seahawks have lost several key players for the season, but it's been a relatively injury-free week in Seattle.
 David Hawthorne - LBNov. 14 - 2:26 pm et
Seahawks general manager Tim Ruskell said the team will think about switching to a 3-4 next season so LB David Hawthorne can stay on the field.
Hawthorne has impressed while filling in for Lofa Tatupu (torn pectorals). The second-year undrafted free agent out of TCU has 22 tackles, three sacks and two forced fumbles in his last three games. Ruskell said that the team will at least put in some 3-4 packages involving Hawthorne.
