 Kenny Britt - WRFeb. 4 - 7:40 pm et
Coach Jeff Fisher is not concerned about Kenny Britt's off-field activities the past few weeks.
Shortly after being arrested for outstanding traffic warrants, Britt posted a $165,000 bail for a friend convicted twice on gun charges. Fisher said Britt didn't realize "the implications of his willingness to help," so the team will "try to educate him" about his off-field decisions.

 Chris Johnson - RBFeb. 4 - 6:47 pm et
Coach Jeff Fisher said Thursday that it's "way too premature" to expect a new contract for Chris Johnson.
"Everybody wants more money, and he's not the first person to want more money. He just came out and said it," Fisher said. "And we can all understand why he wants more money." The Titans usually wait until the year before a player's contract is up to renegotiate, though they'll likely have to address the issue again next offseason.

 Kerry Collins - QBFeb. 2 - 5:26 pm et
The Titans are expected to approach Kerry Collins about "potentially working out some arrangement for him to stay on."
Collins won't be back unless he agrees to take a pay-cut from his $5.5M salary. He likes the area, though, so he's expected to be amenable to a restructured deal. The Nashville City Paper expects the Titans to pursue Chad Pennington if Collins doesn't stay.

 Chris Johnson - RBFeb. 1 - 6:07 pm et
Chris Johnson says he wants the Titans to make him at least the highest paid running back in the league.
"I deserve to be the highest paid running back in the league, or even the highest paid offensive player besides the quarterback," he said. C.J. insists that he won't use the media to his advantage in potential contract talks. He is signed through 2012, so the Titans don't need to be in a hurry.

 Kevin Mawae - CFeb. 1 - 10:46 am et
Titans C Kevin Mawae is set to become an unrestricted free agent.
Mawae, now 39 is defying age as he played in all 16 games and went to the Pro Bowl. He said the Titans haven't reached out to him yet but he wants to play next season. Look for the Titans to work out a one-year deal with Mawae after the CBA situation is finalized.

Kyle Vanden Bosch - DLJan. 29 - 5:50 pm et
Impending free agent Kyle Vanden Bosch said Friday that he doesn't expect to re-sign with the Titans this offseason.
"The Titans have given me no indication that they would like to re-sign me," said Vanden Bosch, "so mentally and physically I have been preparing like I am going to free agency." The 31-year-old is in obvious decline, coming off a three-sack season after an injury-filled 2008.

Kyle Vanden Bosch - DLJan. 25 - 11:06 am et
Titans RE Kyle Vanden Bosch and C Kevin Mawae are going to the Pro Bowl in place of Colts DE Dwight Freeney and C Jeff Saturday.
Vanden Bosch had just three sacks this season, his lowest total since becoming a Titan in 2005. He'll gladly take the honor as an unrestricted free agent looking for a contract. Mawae, heading into his 17th NFL season in 2010, continues to be one of the better centers and offensive line leaders in the league.

Details have not been provided, though the impending free agent is expected to be healthy in time for minicamp this spring.

 Kevin Kaesviharn - DBJan. 23 - 12:38 pm et
Free agent S Kevin Kaesviharn underwent post-season shoulder surgery.
The Titans called on the 33-year-old to provide depth late in the season, but he won't be back in 2010. He's expected to be fully recovered by OTAs, but he'll struggle to find a job once again.

 Nick Harper - DBJan. 23 - 12:36 pm et
Free agent CB Nick Harper underwent shoulder surgery after the season.
The 36-year-old is expected to be recovered by OTAs, but he's a longshot to return to Tennessee this year. Harper struggled mightily in coverage in 2009 and will have a hard time landing a job in free agency.

 Michael Griffin - DBJan. 23 - 12:33 pm et
Titans FS Michael Griffin recently underwent shoulder surgery.
Griffin played through the injury for the much of his disappointing 2009 season. He's expected to be fully recovered in time for OTAs this spring.

 Tony Brown - DLJan. 23 - 12:25 pm et
Titans DT Tony Brown recently underwent surgery on his right knee.
The Titans haven't announced a timetable for his recovery, though their best defensive tackle wasn't known to be seriously injured. He had been delaying the surgery in case he was named as a Pro Bowl alternate, so it appears to be a minor procedure.

 Kenny Britt - WRJan. 21 - 12:12 pm et
Kenny Britt posted a bail of close to $160,000 for childhood friend and rapper Albert "Albee Al" Robinson.
Robinson has been convicted twice on gun charges and has three outstanding indictments on other charges, including hindering the prosecution. The Titans have no reason to be concerned about Britt's character, but the incident is raising questions about the company he keeps. Britt insists he's only helping a childhood friend and "in no way condoning any of [Robinson's] past actions."

 Vince Young - QBJan. 20 - 6:38 pm et
Vince Young has been added to the AFC's Pro Bowl roster, replacing Philip Rivers (wife having baby).
It's his second Pro Bowl in four seasons. He also finished third in Comeback Player of the Year voting behind Tom Brady and runner-up Cadillac Williams while improving his career win-loss record to 26-13. The AFC didn't have better options and V.Y. played well, so there's not much here to argue with.

 Kenny Britt - WRJan. 20 - 11:45 am et
Beat writer Jim Wyatt projects Kenny Britt as the Titans' No. 1 receiver next season.
Wyatt thinks that Nate Washington will be No. 2 and Justin Gage will be No. 3. Chances are strong that all will see significant action, but the title of No. 1 receiver would make Britt a hot sleeper in 2010 fantasy drafts. In the five weeks Gage missed last season, Britt caught three TD passes and had a 100-yard game. It's worth noting that Gage and Washington were the starters to close out 2009. Britt will have to earn a first-team job this offseason.

 Kenny Britt - WRJan. 18 - 2:36 pm et
Kenny Britt was arrested in New Jersey on Friday evening for a traffic violation and three outstanding traffic warrants.
This is hardly a big deal, but Britt might want to start paying his tickets. Officers pulled over the former Rutgers star after seeing him stopped in the middle of the road. The outstanding warrants, totaling $865, were discovered after the stop. The arrest won't affect Britt's status for the 2010 season.

 Jared Cook - TEJan. 17 - 11:16 am et
Titans tight ends coach John Zernheldt said injuries were a big reason why Jared Cook wasn't used more this season.
Cook flashed in a big way during the preseason, but dealt with a high ankle sprain and concussion and finished his rookie campaign with just nine catches. Alge Crumpler is an unrestricted free agent and Bo Scaife will likely be a restricted free agent. Cook is expected to have a bigger role in 2010, but he's still a project right now.

 LenDale White - RBJan. 15 - 10:07 am et
Beat writer Jim Wyatt suggests the Seahawks could show interest in LenDale White now that his former college coach Pete Carroll is running the team.
The fit makes sense, with Seattle needing an early-down upgrade at tailback. White is expected to be a restricted free agent, which means the Titans would have a chance to match a potential Seahawks' offer. The two sides could instead agree on compensation, such as a mid-to-late round pick.

 Chris Johnson - RBJan. 14 - 12:55 pm et
Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt expects the team to limit Chris Johnson's carries and increase his receptions going forward.
Coach Jeff Fisher ran Eddie George into the ground, cutting his career short seven years ago. The Titans don't want a repeat of that with Johnson, who led the league in carries (358) and touches (408) in 2009. The coaching staff will continue to explore ways to get Johnson the ball in space, where he's most effective. He'll enter next season as the consensus No. 1 fantasy pick regardless.

 Chris Johnson - RBJan. 14 - 10:28 am et
Chris Johnson was the only player unanimously voted to The Associated Press 2009 NFL All-Pro team.
49ers ILB Patrick Willis came closest to matching Johnson, with 49 out of 50 votes. Charles Woodson and Darrelle Revis each garnered 48 out of 50 votes at corner back. Adrian Peterson nailed the second running back spot while MVP Peyton Manning was voted in at quarterback.
