 Albert Haynesworth - DLNov. 20 - 2:08 pm et
ESPN reports that Redskins DT Albert Haynesworth (ankle) is unlikely to play Sunday against the Cowboys.
The loss takes a massive chunk out of Washington's already sagging run defense, which has fallen to 24th in the NFL. Haynesworth (6'6/350) will be replaced by Kedric Golston (6'4/300). Overlook Marion Barber's eight-touch Week 10 and use him against the Skins. Dallas' coaching staff has made it clear this week that they'll refocus on the ground game going forward.
 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 20 - 1:02 pm et
Clinton Portis will see another specialist about his concussion on Friday.
Portis, who's been ruled out for Week 11, is still in the process of getting medical clearance to resume practicing. We'd give thought to dropping him in 10-team leagues. He was playing poorly behind Washington's injury-ruined offensive line before the concussion, and would likely only return as a carry sharer with Ladell Betts down the stretch. Don't bet him playing in Week 12.

 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 19 - 3:27 pm et
Clinton Portis (concussion) has been ruled out for Sunday's game at Dallas.
This was expected. Portis has yet to practice this week and is still experiencing the aftereffects from his concussion two weeks after the fact. We're not counting on him to return next week either. Ladell Betts is healthier this week than last and will carry the load against the Cowboys' strong run defense.

 Carlos Rogers - DBNov. 19 - 9:28 am et
Redskins LCB Carlos Rogers is expected to get his starting job back for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
Rogers was benched last week after getting burned by Brandon Marshall on a double move for a 40-yard TD. Despite the embarrassment, Rogers is a much better option than Fred Smoot or Justin Tryon. Smoot is in obvious decline, and the diminutive Tryon's upside is as a slot corner. He's too small to play outside.

 Albert Haynesworth - DLNov. 19 - 9:24 am et
Albert Haynesworth (ankle) is expected to be a game-time decision for Sunday's game against the Cowboys.
The Redskins' $100 million man was in a walking boot Wednesday and will probably stay off the ankle all week. It will be a significant upgrade for the Cowboys' running game if Haynesworth sits and Kedric Golston starts.

 Ladell Betts - RBNov. 18 - 6:33 pm et
Ladell Betts (foot) has resumed practicing without limitations.
Betts will start against the Cowboys, and makes for a decent flex to low-level RB2 play. Despite reports of a foot sprain entering Week 10, Betts racked up 120 total yards and a touchdown on 27 touches against the Broncos.
 Chris Cooley - TENov. 18 - 4:11 pm et
Chris Cooley will see another doctor about his surgically repaired ankle next Monday.
Cooley wasn't at the Redskins' practice facility Wednesday, and the team still hasn't given a time frame for him to return. Consider him out for Week 11 against Dallas and a big long shot to face the Eagles the following Sunday.

 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 18 - 4:08 pm et
Redskins coach Jim Zorn deemed Clinton Portis (concussion) "very doubtful" for Week 11 against Dallas.
Zorn isn't ruling Portis out yet, but he isn't going to play. Portis is still experiencing blurriness, and Zorn admits he'll be "very cautious" with his $51 million running back even when Portis receives medical clearance.

 Devin Thomas - WRNov. 18 - 12:07 pm et
Devin Thomas is averaging 45 snaps per game since taking over as a starter in Week 6.
Thomas is getting the snaps, but not the numbers as he has just five catches in those four games. He showed some ability after the catch last week, but he's nothing more than waiver wire fodder in this offense.

 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 17 - 4:20 pm et
Clinton Portis referred to his concussion Tuesday as a "major situation" and said there's no need for him to "rush back" as long as Ladell Betts is playing well.
It's a smart stance by Portis, who is still dealing with the aftereffects of his Week 9 concussion. After seeing Brian Westbrook compound his initial concussion, Portis will treat his condition with extreme caution. There's no timetable for his return to practice, much less game action.

 Ladell Betts - RBNov. 17 - 12:46 pm et
Redskins coach Jim Zorn said that Ladell Betts will get the ball on some second downs and get some series to himself even when Clinton Portis (concussion) gets back in the lineup.
It's a bad job by Zorn that it took an injury to Portis to realize that Betts needs to be on the field. Portis will start when he returns, but Betts should at least get half the carries. Before Portis went down, Betts had 11 carries in seven games. That will change.

 Brian Orakpo - LBNov. 16 - 2:21 pm et
Redskins OLB/DE Brian Orakpo broke the franchise's rookie sack record by posting 1.5 more in Sunday's win over Denver.
Orakpo, the No. 13 overall pick, also made six tackles, bringing his season total to 32 (22 solo). The former Texas Longhorn has seven sacks on the year. Orakpo is certain to be on the all-rookie first team at season's end.
 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 16 - 1:04 pm et
Redskins coach Jim Zorn confirmed Monday that Clinton Portis is still not fully healed from his Week 9 concussion.
"There's still a bit of blurriness," Zorn said. "I think the headaches are now gone. I think the ringing is gone. We'll have to wait properly." Portis doesn't figure to be medically cleared in time for Week 11 against Dallas. Zorn said Portis definitely won't play if he can't practice this week.

 Albert Haynesworth - DLNov. 16 - 12:35 pm et
Redskins coach Jim Zorn said that Albert Haynesworth's ankle will be looked at Wednesday.
Haynesworth was injured the fourth quarter of the Week 10 win over the Broncos and did not return. Consider him questionable for Sunday until we know more.

 Chris Cooley - TENov. 16 - 12:32 pm et
Redskins coach Jim Zorn said we're still a week away from any news on Chris Cooley (ankle).
Cooley has been a targeting a Week 12 return, but that seems like a best-case scenario at this point. Zorn didn't say Cooley is out of his walking boot, so we're assuming he's still in it. Fred Davis has six catches for 76 yards in two starts since Cooley went down.

 Carlos Rogers - DBNov. 16 - 9:31 am et
Redskins CB Carlos Rogers confirmed that he was benched after falling for a double move by Brandon Marshall in the first quarter of Sunday's win.
Rogers was replaced by Fred Smoot and Justin Tryon stepped in as the third corner. Rogers didn't sniff the field after that and said after the game he doesn't know if he'll get his job back. It's bad timing for Rogers to get embarrassed as he'll be a restricted free agent after the season.

 Clinton Portis - RBNov. 16 - 9:18 am et
When asked after Sunday's win if he'll consider starting Ladell Betts over Clinton Portis when Portis (concussion) returns, coach Jim Zorn simply said, "No."
This could be a moot point if Portis ends up sitting out the rest of the season. You can be sure the Redskins will be extra careful with Portis after seeing what happened to Brian Westbrook on Sunday. Still, after seeing the game film Zorn should realize that Betts deserves a bigger role, if not the starting job, when both backs are healthy.

 Devin Thomas - WRNov. 15 - 4:32 pm et
Devin Thomas managed just two catches for 37 yards in Week 10.
Thomas busted three tackles on a 27-yard gain in the fourth quarter to set up Ladell Betts' touchdown. The talent is there, but Thomas' effort still seems to be inconsistent week to week. He went catch-less in Week 9.
Antwaan Randle El - WRNov. 15 - 4:31 pm et
Antwaan Randle El caught three balls for 45 yards in Week 10.
ARE showed quickness on a 26-yard reception, but this was his best fantasy effort since the Skins' opener. He's waiver wire fodder in most leagues.
 Santana Moss - WRNov. 15 - 4:29 pm et
Santana Moss caught just two passes for eight yards in Week 10.
The Skins protected Jason Campbell surprisingly well -- he took just three sacks and often had a clean pocket -- but focused on a shortened passing game and aren't taking risks downfield. Consider Moss a WR4 until he picks it up.
