 Shane Hnidy - DFeb. 9 - 3:57 pm et
Shane Hnidy should be considered questionable for Wednesday's contest due to an illness.
He was absent from practice on Tuesday and coach Todd Richards is unsure of his status for Wednesday's game versus the Coyotes.

 Andrew Brunette - WFeb. 9 - 3:54 pm et
Andrew Brunette has not practiced the past two days for the Wild because of a sore knee/ankle.
However, he is expected to play in Wednesday's game against Phoenix according to coach Todd Richards. Keep him active if you normally would.

 Chuck Kobasew - WFeb. 8 - 3:28 pm et
Chuck Kobasew (knee) could take part in Minnesota's Wednesday morning skate.
Kobasew has been sidelined since December 26th due to an ACL and PCL sprain. He skated on his own following the conclusion of Monday's practice.

 Niklas Backstrom - GFeb. 8 - 3:26 pm et
Niklas Backstrom (flu/back) was on the ice for two hours on Monday.
Backstrom thinks he's ready to return to the Wild's lineup, but when asked directly if he would be playing on Wednesday, he simply grinned and said, "You'll have to ask the coaches." Consider him probable for Wednesday's game.

 Wade Dubielewicz - GFeb. 8 - 10:50 am et
Minnesota has sent Wade Dubielewicz to the minors.
Dubielewicz had a 4.13 GAA and .778 save percentage in one start with the Wild. At the age of 31, Dubielewicz is a depth goaltender who will only serve on an NHL roster when one of a team's top two netminders are injured.

 Pierre-Marc Bouchard - WFeb. 8 - 10:46 am et
Pierre-Marc Bouchard (concussion) has spent the last two weeks in Montreal to try ulterior treatment plans.
Bouchard hasn't played since October 3rd and he's still experiencing concussion-like symptoms. "The [neuropsychologist] -- the head doctor -- did a bunch of tests and I should have the results pretty soon, but overall there doesn't look like I have brain damage, which is a good thing," Bouchard said. "At least my memory and reaction time and reflexes look good. Now it's just a question of still getting rid of my symptoms -- the pressure in my head that I still have." Bouchard also sought out an osteopath to help ease the pain in his neck. He would still like to play this season, but he admitted that it's going to be hard. We'll keep you posted.

 Niklas Backstrom - GFeb. 7 - 8:28 am et
Niklas Backstrom (flu/back) is hoping to be back between the pipes for Minnesota on Wednesday against the Coyotes.
The Wild number one netminder said he plans to work out Sunday and be at practice on Monday and Tuesday. He had been suffering from headaches and a back problem, but the procedure done on Thursday appears to have alleviated those concerns. "They found out the reason and I got [a procedure] done Thursday," Backstrom said. "[Friday] was good and [Saturday] I feel great. It was scary and you start to worry about it. But I was relieved once they found out what it was. It was an easy thing to fix." He was back on the ice on Saturday and we will keep you posted on his recovery.

 Derek Boogaard - WFeb. 7 - 2:23 am et
Derek Boogaard (hamstring) returned to the Wild lineup on Saturday.
The Minnesota tough guy played 4:13 of ice time against the Flyers, but he did nothing to impact the stat sheet. Boogaard had not skated in a game since Jan. 30.
 Owen Nolan - WFeb. 7 - 2:06 am et
Owen Nolan potted the eventual game-winner midway through the second period as the Wild downed the Flyers 2-1 on Saturday night.
Nolan potted his 14th of the season in tonight's victory. The soon-to-be 38-year old is on his last legs in the NHL, but seems to be chugging along just fine. He still averages 2:31 on the power-play each contest, which does show that he still has some fantasy value left in him. He should probably only be owned in the deepest of fantasy pools. Cal Clutterbuck also tallied for the Wild in tonight's victory.

 Anton Khudobin - GFeb. 7 - 1:53 am et
Anton Khudobin notched his 2nd victory of the season as the Wild downed the Flyers 2-1 on Saturday night.
Tonight's win was actually Khudobin's first "full-game" victory, as he picked up a cheap win while playing just nine minutes of last night's contest against the Oilers. Either way he's stopped 47 of the possible 48 shots that he's faced in the NHL, which is certainly a great accomplishment on it's own. Khudobin had a 2.42 GAA along with a .904 save percentage for Houston of the AHL, but seems to have upped his game when playing for the big club. With his solid play, it should buy some time for Josh Harding to rest his ailing hip for a few more days.
 Niklas Backstrom - GFeb. 5 - 5:58 pm et
Niklas Backstrom (flu/back) had a procedure done on Thursday.
No report as to what the procedure was but Backstrom could be back in net as early as Wednesday. The Wild thought that he could work out on Friday and be on the ice Saturday. Backstrom has not played in two weeks. He is the undisputed number one goalie in Minnesota when healthy and top-15 in the NHL this season.

 Josh Harding - GFeb. 5 - 5:49 pm et
Josh Harding (hip) received a cortisone shot on Friday and will be out of action for at least the next three days.
Anton Khudobin will get the start on Saturday. Harding may not be able to return until after the Olympic break. Stay tuned.

 Anton Khudobin - GFeb. 5 - 1:24 pm et
It looks like Anton Khudobin will get the start in goal for Minnesota on Saturday.
Both Niklas Backstrom and Josh Harding are out of action, so it's either Khudobin or Wade Dubielewicz. Go with Khudobin.

 Petr Sykora - WFeb. 5 - 9:16 am et
Petr Sykora had season-ending abdominal surgery.
Sykora was released by the Wild on Jan. 28 and while he did have a couple of offers to play, he also had two large tears in his stomach according to his agent. His NHL career could be over.

 Josh Harding - GFeb. 5 - 9:08 am et
Josh Harding re-injured his hip on Thursday and did not return.
Harding made what could be the save of the year on the Oilers Jean-Francois Jacques, but hurt his hip in the process. He looks like he will be out at least until after the Olympic break and with Niklas Backstrom currently out with back problems, Anton Khudobin and Wade Dubielewicz will have to hold down the fort. Harding will meet with doctors today. Stay tuned.

 Martin Havlat - WFeb. 4 - 11:32 pm et
Martin Havlat scored two goals in Minnesota's 4-2 win over Edmonton Thursday night.
Havlat now has 13 goals and 39 points in 51 games this season. Guillaume Latendresse registered a goal and an assist in the win.
 Anton Khudobin - GFeb. 4 - 11:28 pm et
Anton Khudobin stopped all nine Oilers' shots he faced in Minnesota's 4-2 win Thursday night.
Anton Khudobin earned his first career NHL win in relief of Josh Harding, when Harding left the game after aggravating a nagging hip injury. Khudobin was called on to serve as the Minnesota backup while Niklas Backstrom is out with a back injury.
 Derek Boogaard - WFeb. 4 - 2:29 pm et
Derek Boogaard didn't practice with Minnesota on Thursday due to a hamstring injury.
That means Boogaard will almost certainly miss Thursday's game. Boogaard has missed three of Minnesota's last four games due to the ailment.

 Niklas Backstrom - GFeb. 4 - 2:26 pm et
Niklas Backstrom has been placed on the injury reserve list due to an illness.
Backstrom hasn't played since January 23rd so he's eligible to be activated at any time. However, he will not serve as Minnesota's starting goaltender or backup on Thursday. Consider him day-to-day for now.

 Josh Harding - GFeb. 4 - 2:05 pm et
Coach Todd Richards plans to have Josh Harding (hip) start in Thursday's game against Edmonton.
Harding missed Tuesday's game after aggravating his hip injury. However, he was able to participate in Thursday's practice and he was the first goaltender off the ice. "The good news is Josh will start the game," Richards said after the morning skate was over.
