 Anquan Boldin-WR- CardinalsFeb. 5 - 11:33 am et
Beat writer Armando Salguero expects the Dolphins to "absolutely discuss" trading for Anquan Boldin.
Brandon Marshall isn't a Bill Parcells/Tony Sparano kind of player, but Salguero believes the Dolphins appreciate Boldin because "he's tough, he's big, and he is not a diva." Though the Cardinals are expected to ask for a second-rounder, it's believed that Boldin could ultimately be had for a third.

 Chad Pennington-QB- DolphinsFeb. 4 - 7:22 pm et
Free agent Chad Pennington (shoulder surgery) indicated Thursday that he would be open to "all comers" if the Dolphins elect not to re-sign him.
Penny will visit Dr. James Andrews on Feb. 15 to get clearance for throwing. With no damage to the rotator cuff, he's expected to make a full recovery. The Dolphins already have Tyler Thigpen and Pat White behind Chad Henne, so they may opt to pass. Arizona would be an ideal fit for player and team.

 Chad Pennington-QB- DolphinsFeb. 4 - 9:26 am et
Free agent Chad Pennington (shoulder surgery) "has decided to make it his priority to stay with the Dolphins," according to the Miami Herald's Jeff Darlington.
Pennington is willing to back up Chad Henne, and the Dolphins will "entertain the possibility" only after they see him throw -- specifically a 15-yard out route. His shoulder was discovered to have only damage to the labrum and the shoulder capsule, leading to expectations of a full recovery. If Miami opts against re-signing him (Pat White and Tyler Thigpen are under contract), the Cardinals are believed to have interest in Pennington as veteran insurance behind Matt Leinart.

 Joey Porter-LB- DolphinsFeb. 2 - 4:45 pm et
Dolphins OLB Joey Porter revealed that he and Tony Sparano never spoke a word to each other after his mid-November suspension.
"I'm a captain, but I'm not going to the captain meetings," said Porter. "He's not meeting with me anymore. How do you come back?" The Dolphins weren't likely to bring him back regardless, and Porter's recent comments have cemented his exit from Miami. He lists the Chargers, 49ers, and Cardinals as teams he'd like to play for in 2010.

 Bills Offense-TM- BillsJan. 16 - 1:20 pm et
The Buffalo News doesn't believe Cardinals offensive line coach Russ Grimm is a serious candidate for the Bills head coaching job.
The Bills have permission to speak to him about the position, but Grimm is in no hurry to sit down for an interview. "It has to be the right situation," explained Grimm last month. "I know there are only 32 of those jobs, but I'm not going to jump on the first one if it doesn't fit."

 Bills Offense-TM- BillsJan. 12 - 4:53 pm et
The Cardinals have granted offensive line coach Russ Grimm permission to talk to the Bills about their head coaching vacancy.
No interviewed has been scheduled, however, and Grimm doesn't seem to be eager to leave Arizona. It looks like Grimm will hold off for as long as the Cardinals remain alive in the playoffs.

According to ESPN, Cardinals OL coach Russ Grimm is expected to turn down the opportunity to interview for the Bills' head coaching job.
Grimm will probably get his shot eventually, but he's not been any rush to get a head coaching job of late. His team is also still alive in the playoffs.

The Bills have requested permission to interview Cardinals OL coach Russ Grimm for their head coaching vacancy.

 Aaron Rodgers-QB- PackersDec. 30 - 5:10 pm et
Packers coach Mike McCarthy said Wednesday that he plans to play his starters and attempt to win Sunday's game against Arizona.
Meanwhile, Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said leaving his starters in will come down to a game-time decision. The Packers and Cardinals are probable to meet in the first round of the playoffs, so neither team is likely to use its front-line players for four quarters. If Kurt Warner is in the game, the Packers are going to dial up heavy pressure to knock him out.

 Brett Favre-QB- VikingsNov. 24 - 2:12 pm et
The NFL announced that the Week 13 game between the Vikings and Cardinals will be moved to Sunday night with the Patriots-Dolphins switching to a 1:00 ET start.
The Pats-Dolphins game isn't bad, but it doesn't hold a candle to the NFC North leaders meeting the NFC West leaders. A game featuring a 40-year-old MVP candidate in Brett Favre against a 38-year-old Kurt Warner is sure to drive up the ratings as well.
 Monty Beisel-LB- CardinalsOct. 1 - 11:31 am et
The Cardinals have shown interest in re-signing LB Monty Beisel, who was cut by the Chiefs on Tuesday.
Beisel played for the Cardinals for three seasons before signing with the Chiefs in March. He's a special teamer and backup inside linebacker.

The Cardinals worked out free agent LB Angelo Craig after practice Tuesday.
The Cards are in the market for a linebacker after losing Cody Brown (wrist) for the season. Craig is a former seventh-round pick that was waived by the Patriots in June. Arizona will work out some more linebackers this week.

 Levi Jones-T- RedskinsJul. 23 - 9:13 am et
Cardinals GM Rod Graves downplayed the club's reported interest in free agent OT Levi Jones.
The sides haven't even spoken since May. "We haven't necessarily killed the idea but we haven't talked to them lately," said Graves. Jones, who turns 30 in August and has a history of leg woes, way overestimated his market value.

 Levi Jones-T- RedskinsJul. 20 - 3:41 pm et
Free agent OT Levi Jones is waiting to find a team that will give him a starting job and pay him accordingly, his player rep says.
Arizona has been Jones' most ardent suitor, but agent Ken Zuckerman says signing with the Cardinals is "not in his best interest" unless they up their offer. The Cards probably won't go over $1 million on a one-year proposal.

 Levi Jones-T- RedskinsJul. 18 - 10:36 am et
The Cardinals have already spoken to free agent OT Levi Jones about his possible interest in the team.
Incumbent Mike Gandy is a replacement-level left tackle and could use some competition. Another option is moving RT Levi Brown to the left side to protect Kurt Warner's blind side. Either way, Jones would almost certainly be a backup if he landed in Arizona. He shouldn't cost more than the minimum.
