A few reasons why you should buy the Rotoworld online Basketball Draft Guide, available now!

Constantly updated rankings and projections

Player value is not static, so your draft guide shouldn't be either. When Francisco Garcia went down with one of the most freakish injuries you'll ever hear of, his value obviously took a major hit. We immediately dropped him in Tiers and on our overall lists as well. In addition, his stats were recalculated so that he was projected at just 25 games instead of a full season. And in case you missed it, the exercise ball he was on while lifting weights burst, resulting in a broken wrist that required surgery. Ouch. Our depth charts are constantly updated as well, and good ol' Francisco is now showing up near the bottom.

Rashard Lewis got hit with a 10-game suspension just as most magazines were going to print. Not only did we immediately hit the Guide with all the pertinent updates, but we pulled the hard copy of the magazine off the truck and updated the information just before it went to print.

So many owners fail at fantasy hoops because they go into a draft with stale cheat sheets. Guys like Ramon Sessions, Andre Miller and possibly even Charlie Villanueva could be coming off the bench, while it looked like they were locked into starting jobs in the summer. We have moved Sessions, who is now likely to come off the bench, but are keeping the faith in Miller and CV, although it's very possible Miller could be coming off the bench in Portland. Either way, we tweak the rankings as they happen. And we've got outlooks and profiles for at least 363 players.

Our Exclusive Tiering System

We will give you hundreds of pages of profiles, columns, and statistics. But we get a ton of emails every year from owners who say they simply printed out our Tiering System and won their league with that.

Each draft is different, and our Tiering System gives owners flexible strategies to win at every position. Tiers recognize that it's not just whom you take, but getting value when you take them, and who might be available with your later picks.

We have upgraded our tier pages for 2009, so you can read our content and have all the stats at your fingertips on one page. They truly are awesome, and are constantly updated to provide you with the most up-to-date information. In fact, when the Rotoworld hoops staff drafts their own fantasy teams, the Tiers column is usually the only thing they bring with them.

The Most Accurate Rankings

While the Rotoworld football and baseball teams have won multiple awards for accurate rankings, hoops doesn't seem to have a judging body to declare who is most accurate. But we spend a ton of time on research when building our cheat sheets and projections, and stand confidently behind them. And again, they are constantly tweaked to ensure the rankings are up-to-date and ready to go when you're ready to draft.

The Deepest Content

Where do we start? Beyond our in-depth player and team profiles, we have columns on the fantasy impact of all the coaching changes, free agent moves, sleepers, busts, injuries, rookies, average draft position, contract-year players, weekly-player schedules and a breakdown of each team's schedule, as well as mock drafts. And where else are you going to get an in-depth "young guns" breakdown from an actual NBA scout, as well as the fantasy musings and thoughts from one of the most respected indie rockers of all time (and fantasy sports' stud) – Stephen Malkmus, lead singer of Pavement and founder of Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks?

We have extensive rankings, profiles and columns that will be invaluable leading up to your draft. We even ask burning questions of NBA gurus from all over the country, including beat writers, television analysts and NBA TV's fantasy guru and Wolves expert, Rick Kamla.

We also have in-depth team reports from Rotoworld NBA senior editor Steve 'Dr. A' Alexander. Rotoworld regular Ryan Knaus breaks down the top offseason moves, ESPN's Tom Carpenter breaks down the first round for you, Matt Buser of Busersports.com comes through with some amazing Bold Predictions, and Kamla provides his thoughts on Risk vs. Reward players. And of course, Matt Stroup shows up for a Draft Guide edition of the ever-popular Roundball Stew. There is a whole lot more in the draft guide, but you'll have to check it out for yourself.

We freaking love the NBA

It sounds simple enough. Of course we freaking love fantasy hoops, and who doesn't? But a lot of writers like the idea of being an "expert" or selling their games more than creating quality content. They love the gig, not the game. We're convinced that no one eats, sleeps or breathes the NBA like Dr. A.

Loving hoops keeps us posting news updates at all hours, and there's nothing more important than getting the information first when a big name goes down. There is no red tape to step through when we post news. We are dialed into every single news outlet related to the NBA, including Twitter, and watch the games as they unfold live. If a player gets hurt during a game or practice, there's a nearly 100 percent chance you'll hear it from Rotoworld.com first.

When Gilbert Arenas went down with a knee injury a couple years ago, we were on the original story from the Washington Post within seconds, allowing Arenas' owners to pick up Antonio Daniels before anyone who wasn't refreshing the Rotoworld front page. Now, we'll admit that Daniels was not exactly the stud fill-in that we were all hoping for, but the point is that Rotoworld readers were in a position to get him before most other folks. Loving hoops keeps us digging for the nugget on a journeyman small forward (Rasual Butler) who has seen a big upturn in playing time, which could potentially turn your season around. Loving the NBA also keeps us humble with the knowledge that we'll never have all the answers, so we better keep looking for the truth behind the headlines.

That's why we continue to be the most trafficked and completely free fantasy news on the web. The in-depth and timely news retrieval and posting helps us update every page of the Rotoworld Basketball Draft Guide as soon as it happens, so check it out!

Customized Cheats Sheets

There are almost as many fantasy hoops scoring systems as there are fantasy hoops players in the NBA. Unlike the NFL and MLB, NBA leagues vary to such an extent that it would be nearly impossible to come up with customized scoring for every one of them. Some leagues count double-doubles, triple-doubles, offensive rebounds, assists-to-turnover ratio and technical fouls as categories, which is pretty hardcore. But in general, leagues that count and don't count turnovers are the most common, and we've elected to go with the "keep it simple, stupid" strategy, focusing on the difference between those two. The bottom line is that most common scoring systems should fit into our customized scoring system in order to create easy-to-print cheat sheets for your league.

Value

You can get all this Draft Guide goodness for only $14.99, but you get an even better value if you buy our Season Pass package with it for only $10 more.

Once the draft guide helps you pick your team, Season Pass helps you manage it all year with early rankings and projections, a dynasty Top 200 list, as well as advanced statistics, exclusive subscriber chats and columns, customized stats and news, and expanded week-long coverage, including the popular Pickup of the Day. The subscriber chats are extremely popular, as the number of participants is limited to those willing to fork over a few bucks and get clean access to our experts.

We are extremely proud of the Draft Guide and Season Pass package, and would love to have you on board. Come on in and enjoy the fun. Check out the Rotoworld Basketball Draft Guide today.
