Jim Furyk has never won THE PLAYERS. Rob Bolton breaks down all 144 golfers for this week's tour stop while Ned Brown serves up his weekly starters.

 Stephen Ames-GMay. 11 - 9:29 pm et
Stephan Ames posted a final round of even-par 72 and finish in fifth place at THE PLAYERS Championship.
Ames started out with a double-bogey at the 4th hole, then worked his way back up the leader board with birdies at the 7th, 9th, 10th and 15th holes. He got a little aggressive on the final hole trying to get closer to the leaders and ended the round with a double-bogey. Still, the fifth place result was his best finish on the Tour since a third place at the season opening Mercedes-Benz Championship.
 Briny Baird-GMay. 11 - 8:58 pm et
Briny Baird posted a final round of even-par 72 and finished in fourth place at THE PLAYERS Championship.
Baird was one of the few players on the leaderboard that was under-par on the front nine. He dropped shots at the 15th and 17th holes, but the rest of the field was having such problems with the high winds that it didn't change his finishing position. He is scheduled to play in next week's AT&T Classic, where he has a good record with Top-10 results in his last two years at the event.
 Jeff Quinney-GMay. 11 - 8:49 pm et
Jeff Quinney carded a final round of 2-under-par 70 and finished in third place at THE PLAYERS Championship.
Quinney got through the front nine in even-par, but his third birdie on the back nine at the par-5 16th hole put him into a three-way tie for the lead. He put his tee shot into the right rough at the 18th hole and the resulting bogey dropped him to 4-under-par for the tournament, which one stroke shy of the playoff. The third place finish is his second Top-3 this season and he has moved up to 17th place on the FedExCup Points List.
 Paul Goydos-GMay. 11 - 8:16 pm et
Paul Goydos posted a final round of 2-over-par 74 and lost on the first playoff hole at THE PLAYERS Championship.
The weather conditions were brutal with high gusting winds and the two shot overnight lead that Goydos had melted away in the opening holes. He was able to return to even on the day with birdies at the 10th and 12th holes, but three bogeys and a birdie in the last five holes left him in a tie with Sergio Garcia. Goydos drew the number one in the playoff and came up short in the water at the 17th hole after a gust of wind got his tee shot. Garcia was able to put his tee shot four-feet from the hole and effectively the playoff was over. It still was a great week for Goydos and he is scheduled to play next week at the AT&T Classic, where his best finish at the TPC Sugarloaf course is a T-30 in 1998.
 Sergio Garcia-GMay. 11 - 7:49 pm et
Sergio Garcia parred the first playoff hole and won THE PLAYERS Championship.
The conditions for the final round were brutal with high gusting winds and Garcia played the front nine in a very solid 1-over-par. He made his move starting at the 11th hole and put three birdies with one bogey together. Garcia missed a short birdie putt at the 16th hole to take the lead, but he made up for it at the 18th hole when he was able to save par after his tee shot found the deep right rough. The playoff started this year on the famous 17th par-3 island hole and Garcia got to watch Paul Goydos come up short in the water. Garcia took a very aggressive line for his tee shot and the wind blew it to four-feet away from the hole. He missed the birdie putt, but tapped in for par and his biggest career victory.
 Anthony Kim-GMay. 10 - 8:19 pm et
Anthony Kim posted a 7-over-par 79 in the third round of THE PLAYERS Championship.
Kim opened with a bogey-bogey start, but was able to get to 1-under-par for the day and two strokes off of the lead when he birdied the 10th hole. He then reeled off four bogeys in a row and looked to be getting it back together after birdie at the par-5 16th hole, but any hope of winning the tournament was crushed on the final two holes, when he finished triple-bogey and double-bogey.
 Phil Mickelson-GMay. 10 - 8:04 pm et
Phil Mickelson carded a third round of 1-under-par 71 and is five strokes off of the lead at THE PLAYERS Championship.
Mickelson played better than his score of 71 shows. He had his score for the day down to 3-under-par after a birdie at the 11th hole, but a tee shot at the 14th hole in the water cost him a double-bogey. Mickelson did recover with a nice birdie at the 16th hole, but a bogey at the final hole left him 2-under for the tournament and five strokes off the pace. He will go into Sunday's final round looking for his 35th PGA Tour victory and to be the first back-to-back winner in the history of THE PLAYERS Championship.
