 Cameron Newton-QB- Gators Feb. 9 - 10:45 pm et

The Auburn Beat's Evan Woodley sees JUCO transfer quarterback Cameron Newton and incoming freshman running back Michael Dyer as two impact newcomers for Auburn.
Both certainly have the potential to play major rolls this fall.  We'll be keeping an eye on both during spring and fall practices.
 Darrell Scott-RB- Buffaloes Feb. 9 - 10:45 pm et

CBS4 in Denver is reporting that running back Darrell Scott may rejoin the Colorado football team.  According to The Daily Camera, Scott is not currently enrolled in classes for spring semester.
Scott left the team in November after struggling with injuries.  If he does return, he would clearly be behind starter Rodney Stewart on the depth chart.

Shane Vereen-RB- Golden Bears Feb. 9 - 10:30 am et

ESPN's Ted Miller states incoming running back Trajuan Briggs could serve as Shane Vereen's backup next fall.
Vereen should be the next in a long line of great fantasy backs from Cal.  And if tradition holds true, Briggs could follow.

 Chris Polk-RB- Huskies Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Ted Miller likes Washington incoming running back Deontae Cooper's chances of seeing early playing time. Especially since Cooper is on campus, and starter Chris Polk (shoulder surgery) will sit out spring.
One of Cooper's biggest attributes is his ability to catch the ball out of the backfield.  And backs that can do more than run will see the field early.

 Cameron Newton-QB- Gators Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Chris Low says "it would probably be an upset" if  JUCO transfer Cameron Newton doesn't win the Auburn quarterback job.
Newton, a former five-star recruit, certainly has the talent to make fantasy owners drool, and he's our front-runner as well.  However, don't count out Tyrik Rollison and Neil Caudle.

Daryll Clark-QB- Nittany Lions Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg lists Kevin Newsome as the most likely candidate to replace Penn State starting quarterback Daryll Clark this fall.
Newsome and incoming freshman Robert Bolden are our top two candidates to win the job. Newsome has a clear advantage in terms of experience.  Not only did he serve as Clark's understudy last season, but he also spent a year at prep school before arriving in Happy Valley.

 Robert Marve-QB- Hurricanes Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg believes Miami transfer Robert Marve is the front-runner to claim the open quarterback job at Purdue.
We certainly aren't going to disagree. Beyond Marve, Purdue looks awfully thin at quarterback.  As we've stated previously, our money is on this former Cane to win the starting job.

 Daniel Herron-RB- Buckeyes Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Adam Rittenberg lists Ohio State running back Jaamal Berry as one of his players to watch in 2010.  Berry redshirted last year after suffering a hamstring injury before the season began.
As Rittenberg points out, Brandon Saine and Daniel Herron played well last year, but if Berry is as good as advertised, he could be the game changer the Buckeyes are looking for.

 Vidal Hazelton-WR- Trojans Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Brian Bennett lists Cincinnati receiver Vidal Hazelton as one of his Big East players to watch in 2010.
Many fantasy owners hoped Hazelton would be able to play in 2009, but he was forced to sit out a year due to NCAA transfer rules.  In his absence Armon Binns, another big tall receiver, emerged as one of the Bearcats top receivers, taking a bit of the fantasy luster off the ex-Trojan receiver.

 Chris Harper-QB- Ducks Feb. 8 - 11:00 pm et

ESPN's Ted Miller lists Kansas State transfer quarterback/wide receiver Chris Harper as one of his Big 12 players to watch this spring and fall.
We love Harper's potential at quarterback under Bill Snyder.  Snyder's best teams have had a quarterback (Michael Bishop) that can run and pass, which Harper can do.

 Kendall Hunter-RB- Cowboys Feb. 8 - 10:15 pm et

Brandon Chatmon of The Oklahoman looks back at Oklahoma State 2009 recruiting class, and he appears very high on running back Jeremy Smith, deeming his potential "superb."
The direction of the Oklahoma State offense will be one of the off-seasons most intriguing stories, and it appears that young Mr. Smith has great keeper potential.
 Case Keenum-QB- Cougars Feb. 8 - 10:15 pm et

Houston coach Kevin Sumlin announced that Kliff Kingsbury and Jason Phillips will share offensive coordinator duties for the 2010 season.
Kingsbury and Phillips replace Dana Holgorsen, who decided to move to Oklahoma State. Essentially Phillips will handle the play calling while Kingsbury will take care of the less-prominent duties. Replacing Holgorsen will not be easy, but there are a whole lot of weapons returning for the Cougars, and both coaches know the offense well.

 Jerrod Johnson-QB- Aggies Feb. 8 - 10:15 pm et

The Sporting News' Tom Dienhart reports that former Louisville head coach Steve Kragthorpe is expected to interview with Texas A&M regarding an offensive assistant job.
Things certainly didn't go well for Kragthorpe during his three-year stint at Louisville, however he built a solid reputation prior to his time at Papa John's, and he's be a nice addition to Mike Sherman's staff.

 Kale Pick-QB- Jayhawks Feb. 8 - 8:45 pm et

ESPN 's Tim Griffin likes JUCO transfer quarterback Quinn Mecham's chances at battling Kale Pick for the starting job at Kansas this spring and fall.
With a new coaching staff in town, preconceived notions on who the incumbents are will be thrown out the window.  And as Griffin points out, Mecham was recruited by new offensive coordinator Chuck Long (a former quarterback).

 Shawnbrey McNeal-RB- Hurricanes Feb. 8 - 8:30 pm et

With the early departure of Shawnbrey McNeal to the NFL draft, SMU coach June Jones says running back recruits Darryl Fields and Kevin Pope are expected to contribute right away.
Fields is the higher rated recruit according to Rivals.com. However, it would be a mistake to assume any of the Mustang running backs can match McNeal's 1188 yards rushing and 12 touchdowns.

 Ross Jenkins-QB- Bulldogs Feb. 8 - 7:45 pm et

Louisiana Tech starting  quarterback Ross Jenkins was charged with driving while intoxicated after being pulled over by Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries officers Sunday morning at 1:40am. “I am deeply disappointed that this has happened," Tech head coach Sonny Dykes said in a released statement. "This will be handled by the judicial system and we will discipline Ross internally within our program.”
Yes you read that correctly, Jenkins was pulled over by wildlife and fisheries agents. Needless to say, things got a little weird in the State of Louisiana last night.
 Carl Moore-WR- Gators Feb. 8 - 10:15 am et

Orlando Sentinel's Jeremy Fowler makes note that the Florida Gators are currently two or three scholarships over the 85-man limit.  Fowlers cites wide receivers Carl Moore and T.J. Lawrence as two potential victims of attrition.
Moore is a former JUCO transfer and unlikely to transfer, the question is will he be able to come back from a back injury? Lawrence, Fowler speculates, could seek playing time at another school.
 Scott Long-WR- Cardinals Feb. 8 - 10:15 am et

“Coach Strong expects me to come in and play right away,” Louisville wide receiver recruit Josh Bellamy said. “Nothing will be given to me, but I feel like I am the best player on the field all the time. Now I just have to come in and work hard and prove it.”
The Cardinals lose leading receivers Scott Long and Trent Guy, opening the door for the JUCO transfer to see early playing time.
Damion Fletcher-RB- Golden Eagles Feb. 8 - 10:15 am et

Southern Miss coach Larry Fedora says multi-dimensional recruit Steve McNair Jr. will play slot receiver for the Eagles this fall.
Patrick McGee of The Clarion-Ledger thinks McNair could see the field early.  With running back Damion Fletcher graduating, look for USM to move even more toward a passing offense, which will help McNair's case for early PT.
 Richard Samuel-RB- Bulldogs Feb. 8 - 10:15 am et

Georgia's Richard Samuel will switch from running back to linebacker this spring.
The move will likely be permanent as the Bulldogs have some depth at running back.
