 Darrius Heyward-Bey-WR- Raiders Feb. 22 - 9:49 pm et

The Chicago Sun Times believes there's virtually no chance Maryland WR Darrius Heyward-Bey will last to the Bears at the No. 18 overall pick following his outstanding Combine.
Heyward-Bey's 4.3-flat was second fastest forty by a wideout at the Combine since 2000, trailing only Jerome Mathis' 4.28 in 2005. The Baltimore Sun suggests he secured a spot in the top 15. Still, Heyward-Bey's routes and game-to-game production were suspect as a Terp. He's a boom or bust pick.
 Kurt Warner-QB- Cardinals Feb. 22 - 9:29 pm et

The Cardinals and free agent Kurt Warner have reportedly narrowed the gap in contract negotiations some, but have "significant ground to cover" before the market opens on February 27.
After speaking extensively at the Combine Arizona's proposal is up to $10M a year, but Warner still wants something in the $12-16M range. Warner wants to stay in Arizona, so we'd guess he'll eventually come down some.
 Marvin Harrison-WR- Colts Feb. 22 - 8:31 pm et

A source familiar with talks between the Colts and Marvin Harrison told the AP that Harrison "probably would not be interested in" taking a pay cut.
GM Bill Polian said at the Combine that he wants to lower Harrison's unmanageable $13.4 million cap number, but it sounds like Harrison is unwilling. The career Colt has likely played his last down in blue and white.
 Josh Freeman-QB- Buccaneers Feb. 22 - 6:25 pm et

Kansas State QB Josh Freeman was reportedly "erratic" in passing drills at the Scouting Combine.
Seen as a borderline first-rounder coming in, Freeman ran a slower forty than expected and was widely reported to have been inconsistent in the position drills. He may be seen as a developmental project by evaluators.

 Pat White-QB- Dolphins Feb. 22 - 6:19 pm et

SI.com's Don Banks observed that West Virginia's Pat White threw better in drills than any of the quarterbacks at the Combine.
USC's Mark Sanchez reportedly looked "decent, but far from spectacular," while White appeared "poised and comfortable" and "especially strong in throwing deep outs." White's arm strength has drawn resoundingly strong reviews, increasing his chances of being drafted to play quarterback.

 Derrick Ward-RB- Buccaneers Feb. 22 - 6:12 pm et

There are reportedly "rumblings" at the NFL Combine that free agent Derrick Ward is in line for a multi-year deal worth $3 million annually.
Ward was said to be seeking $4 million a year before he changed agents to Drew Rosenhaus. $3 million annually isn't necessarily starter's money. He could be overestimating his market value for the second straight offseason.
 Vernon Davis-TE- 49ers Feb. 22 - 6:03 pm et

New 49ers OC Jimmy Raye envisions Vernon Davis being a matchup "nightmare" for opponents in his offense.
"Just like with (Tony) Gonzalez at Kansas City...he is a threat at that position," Raye said. "We'll exploit that to its maximum ability. He will be a major part of what we do." Raye wants Davis to drop some weight, presumably because he'll be running far more pass patterns than he did for Mike Martz.
 Eugene Monroe-T- Jaguars Feb. 22 - 5:50 pm et

Lions beat writer Nick Cotsonika believes Eugene Monroe, Matthew Stafford, and Jason Smith are the leading contenders to be picked No. 1 in the draft.
Smith had the most impressive Combine, but Monroe is a shade taller and has more experience in a pro-style offense. Cotsonika expects Detroit to wait on a linebacker until the No. 20 overall pick. James Laurinaitis, Brian Cushing, and Rey Maualuga could be available at that spot.

John Parker Wilson-QB- Falcons Feb. 22 - 3:52 pm et

Alabama QB John Parker Wilson reportedly "struggled mightily" during passing drills at the NFL Combine.
A borderline free agent prospect at this point, the 6'1/215-pound Wilson will likely only fit in a West Coast scheme. His TD to INT ratio was 9:7 last year.
 Ryan Fitzpatrick-QB- Bills Feb. 22 - 3:35 pm et

Free agent Ryan Fitzpatrick has informed the Bengals that he'll test the open market next weekend.
Fitzpatrick will enter free agency coming off a season in which he went 4-8-1 as a starter and exhibited consistently poor arm strength. He's overrating himself if he thinks he'll get a chance to play much elsewhere.
 Derrick Williams-WR- Lions Feb. 22 - 3:28 pm et

The agent for Penn State WR Derrick Williams revealed that Williams caught the flu at the Scouting Combine.
Perhaps this explains his weak forty times (4.58, 4.67). "He can run a lot, lot faster," the agent insisted. Williams will get that chance at Pro Day.

 LeSean McCoy-RB- Eagles Feb. 22 - 3:26 pm et

Pittsburgh RB LeSean McCoy (flu) opted to not run the forty-yard dash at the Scouting Combine after all.
McCoy, who lost nearly 15 pounds while battling a virus, will likely run at his Pro Day. He figures to crack 4.4 on his home turf next month.
 Javon Walker-WR- Raiders Feb. 22 - 3:09 pm et

NFL.com's Adam Schefter reports that the Raiders will likely release Javon Walker before his $5 million March 3 roster bonus comes due.
If so, Oakland will have parted with three-fourths of its 2008 spending spree, with only DT Tommy Kelly remaining. Gibril Wilson and DeAngelo Hall were already jettisoned. Walker caught 15 passes in eight games before his season ended in November due to ankle surgery. The move will cause a $3.33M cap hit, but Al Davis realizes (a year late) that Walker has nothing left.

 Jeremiah Johnson-RB- Texans Feb. 22 - 3:05 pm et

Oregon RB Jeremiah Johnson recorded an official time of 4.67 in the forty at the NFL Combine.
Johnson looked a lot faster than this in the Ducks' Bowl game, but the book on him is that he lacks a second gear. He'll be a change of pace back in the NFL.
 Javon Ringer-RB- Titans Feb. 22 - 2:52 pm et

Michigan State RB Javon Ringer ran an unofficial 4.53 forty-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
This isn't a terrible time for the grinding runner. The best news, though, is that he was able to run at all. Ringer had his knee scoped in January.
 Chris Wells-RB- Cardinals Feb. 22 - 2:48 pm et

Ohio State RB Chris "Beanie" Wells officially ran a 4.59 forty-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine.
ESPN's Todd McShay predicted a low 4.4 from Wells, but he didn't come close. Wells, who measures 6'1/235, remains a very likely first-round pick. He appeared to be pressing a bit during his appearance Sunday.
 Knowshon Moreno-RB- Broncos Feb. 22 - 2:41 pm et

Georgia RB Knowshon Moreno ran an official forty time of 4.63 at the NFL Scouting Combine Sunday.
Moreno reported heavier than expected, and it may have affected his time. While he lacks game-changing speed, Moreno is versatile enough to keep a first round grade. But he can probably forget about going in the top ten now.
 Rashad Jennings-RB- Jaguars Feb. 22 - 2:33 pm et

Liberty RB Rashad Jennings posted unofficial 4.49 and 4.62 forty-yard dash times at the NFL Combine Sunday.
The second time wasn't quite as good. Still, Jennings has had an impressive offseason, showing outstanding strength and good speed at 6'1/234. He will likely be bumped up draft boards after his Senior Bowl and Combine.
 Shonn Greene-RB- Jets Feb. 22 - 2:30 pm et

Iowa RB Shonn Greene ran an official forty time of 4.72 at the NFL Combine.
Listed at 235 as a Hawkeye, Greene slimmed down to 227 for the Combine but still couldn't manage a good forty. The one-year starter didn't help himself.
 Andre Brown-RB- Giants Feb. 22 - 2:29 pm et

NC State RB Andre Brown ran an official 4.49 forty-yard dash at the NFL Combine Sunday.
Another Senior Bowl standout, Brown battled injuries during his Wolfpack days but packs punch as a runner. At 6'0/224, these forty times are superb. Brown also hoisted 225 24 times and recorded a 37" vertical jump.
