Vikings LCB Antoine Winfield will see a specialist about his recurring right foot injuries within the next two weeks.
He's going to North Carolina, presumably to meet with Dr. Robert Anderson, who performed Jonathan Stewart's surgeries, among others. Winfield aggravated the foot injury twice after breaking it in October. Anderson will determine if he needs another operation and provide a rehab period.

Vikings LCB Antoine Winfield re-injured his troublesome foot in the team's NFC Championship Game loss and will miss the Pro Bowl.
It's the second aggravation of the partially cracked foot that cost Winfield six games and limited him to slot corner duty thereafter. Whether he'll need surgery is unclear. Winfield was a liability in coverage during the stretch run.

Antoine Winfield (foot) confirmed that he will be limited to nickel and short-yardage duty again Sunday.
The Saints go three-wide much more than the Cowboys did, so Winfield will be spending more time on the field. With Robert Meachem nursing an ankle injury, Winfield should see plenty of Lance Moore and Devery Henderson.

Antoine Winfield has been added to the NFC Pro Bowl squad, ostensibly as a replacement for Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie (knee, tibia).
Winfield missed six games and played poorly upon his return from a partially cracked foot. Though he made the team based solely on reputation, it makes up for the multiple snubs from his first nine seasons in the league.

Antonie Winfield (foot) was used only in the nickel and short-yardage defense once again Sunday.
Winfield's partially cracked foot continues to prevent him from starting at his usual left corner position, so he's only stepping in as the fifth defensive back. Fill-in Benny Sapp hasn't been burned yet, but he'll face a different beast when the Vikings take on the Saints in the NFC Championship Game.

Vikings coach Brad Childress said Wednesday that Antoine Winfield (foot) will play left corner and some slot corner in the Divisional Round.
Winfield, who aggravated his cracked foot in Week 14, was burned repeatedly down the stretch. Childress didn't elaborate on Winfield's role vs. Dallas, or say if he'll start. Benny Sapp is likely to be picked on as long as he's in.
