Chris Chambers caught five passes for 80 yards in Week 17 against the Broncos.

Left for dead after being waived by the Chargers in early November, Chambers totaled 608 yards and four touchdowns in nine games with the Chiefs. To put that into perspective the last time he topped 608 yards in an entire season was 2006 with the Dolphins. The impending free agent has earned himself some money.

Chris Chambers caught three passes for 34 yards in Week 16.

Dwayne Bowe reclaimed his spot as QB Matt Cassel's go-to receiver and finished with nine total catches. Chambers will take a back seat again in Week 17 as the Chiefs wrap up another disappointing season.

Chris Chambers caught five balls for 114 yards and a touchdown in the Chiefs' Week 15 loss to Cleveland.

Dwayne Bowe's return from suspension clearly didn't affect Chambers' production one game in, but it will eventually. Chambers was able to catch all five of his targets, which were just half of Bowe's team-high 10. Tread lightly when considering Chambers as a WR3 at Cincinnati in Week 16.

Chris Chambers caught four balls for 50 yards in Week 14.

His nine targets led the Chiefs, but Chambers also dropped a pass that would've gone for about 20 yards in the second half and put the Chiefs on the goal line. Chambers has come back to Earth quickly after a hot start in his first few games as a Chief. Dwayne Bowe returns from suspension in Week 15, so Chambers will take a backseat in the passing game going forward.

Chris Chambers was held to 11 yards on two receptions against the Broncos in Week 13.

Chambers was hardly alone in his disappointing performance. He was targeted six times, but the Chiefs managed just 134 passing yards against a dominant Denver secondary. He faces another tough pass defense next week against the Bills.

Chris Chambers told reporters after Sunday's loss that he would be interested in returning to the Chiefs next year.

Chambers, who will be 32 next season, is scheduled to hit free agency in late February. Since being claimed off waivers from San Diego, Chambers is averaging 80 yards per game and has scored three touchdowns in four games. However, the Chiefs are trying to build a young foundation. They're unlikely to offer him more than $2-3 million a year on a short-term contract.
